- As part of the Singapore Airlines "No Detail Too Small" campaign (check it out here: • At Singapore Airlines,... ), I built and painted a 1:50 A380 in their livery. This video documents the painting process, which lasted from August 29th to September 1st, 2015.
This shows most of the process, but several steps were left out for the sake of time.
Music:
Mesmer - Stereo Rainbow (Aeron Aether Remix)
Shot on a Panasonic Lumix GH4 (Olympus M Zuiko 12-40mm f/2.8 lens) and edited in Final Cut Pro X.
3 months ago, we saw the last update of the 777. The last thing we could have expected is that you builded an entire A380! You are amazing, keep it going!
To be fair, it's always easier when there's a deadline to meet ;) Check out the SIA video if you haven't, this model was just part of the story: ruclips.net/video/wt99b5ccwqk/видео.html
+Luca Iaconi-Stewart Where do you get these planes? Do you build them yourself? If yes, which material did you use?
***** Awesome!
+Gustav Gans, look at his other videos, he builds them 100% from scratch using manila folders. Truly and amazing artist.
Absolutely awesome, astonishing and amazing 🤩🤩
Greetings from Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦
You, sir, are a bloody inspiration. I could only dream of having such skill and patience to produce things such as this.
From one model builder to another.., Amazing!
The song is perfect for this video. Fantastic job on this model!
I came here after Wired vid, and man, this is amazing, I really wish if I have this Singapore Airline model, nice job!

Singapore Airlines A380 - Painting Time-lapse **4K/60fps**!
Cool!
You did so good that the official singapore airlines channel letter you be on a video! Great A380
By the looks of the read most have no idea how much time, effort, patience and hand skill went into your manilla, file folder (nice brown paper) airbus 380. Amazing bro I hope you get everything you wish for in life. "For those who have the courage to act, will find their horizons unlimited" unknown. Have a great day.
Thank you!
Shout out from Singapore . You make us proud
Thanks!
You Sir are an amazing artist and model builder. I too love aviation and build models, but I could never do what you do from scratch. Much respect to you..
That's some great work. And for it to be hand painted makes it that much better.
Super awesome work. What made the video better was that I didn't have prior knowledge as to how the Singapore Airlines' A380 paint scheme looked like, so seeing how the stripes all come together was really fun.
Dude had it really going on...SUPERB WORK...absolutely artisan level work.
I remember the Singapore Airlines campaign! Awesome to see the creation behind it.
What moron would give this a thumbs down? Idiot!
Great work, absolutely stunning! You Sir have some serious skills! Respect from Colorado.
Adrian Kline Emirates CEO for not making them an ad with his masterpiece

Still absolutely amazing work! I have been following this for years and am glad to see the beautiful end results
Wow, that is all I can say - there are so many scale models of the A380 which don't manage to get the nose and cockpit windows quite right, but you have captured it absolutely perfectly. Really a very impressive piece of work.
Why thank you! I was pretty pleased and somewhat shocked with how it turned out, especially given the absolutely insane deadline I was under.
Amazing! I hope you can continue working in your 777, i've been waiting for new videos
I've had to take a break from that, but yea, me too!
+Luca Iaconi-Stewart I understand, that project might be so tedious. Keep on the great work!

Sence I can’t sleep. (I have no melatonin in my body.. I do have medicine to help) I guess I’ll spend all night watching these
X coast X oof
What are the lyrics? Is it something about fucking a car?
BTW, saw your interview on Wired and you are so amazing.
jillhbaudhaan - What I hear is: "I just saw a shooting star out the sunroof of my car" I think?
holy shit I think that's actually what he's saying :O
jillhbaudhaan i heard "ow this sums up my car"
idk
I heard Albert sounds like my car?
might be some sorta mixed version of Joy by Temposhark
Awesome piece of work. The painting was meticulous from what we could see. I loved when it was backlit and you could see inside. How much would one of these cost to buy? Must be so expensive given how long it has taken you, and the amount of hours of work.
It's hard/impossible to put a price on, but this model was relatively "simple" (no moving parts, only half the plane) and it still took several hundred hours to build.
I wish you did old battle ships too like the Bismarck.
