I recently started my job at Boeing and have seen the comparisons between the 747 witch is a commercial use plane compared to a 777x. the 777x is almost 3x the size and is huge but has stopped being used for commercial use.

Saw an RAF Vulcan bomber up close and personal in a hangar at Goose Bay Labrador in the mid to late 70s. Got to do a walk around... a forbidding aircraft to be sure... it's indelibly imprinted in my memory!!!

The sad part of some of these giants, some have been lost in either accidents or war…..
You showed part of the video from the horrific crash of the XB70, where the bomber was flying in formation for a photo shoot for GE for their calendar because all the planes in formation with the XB70 all had GE engines….
Unfortunately a Lockheed Star Fighter flying on the right side of the XB70 got caught in the XB70s airflow, flipped over and onto the bomber’s tail and blew up, which caused the XB70 to go in a steep dive into the desert floor below….
One of the bomber’s pilots ejected, but the copilot went down with the plane while the Star Fighter pilot died when one of the XB70s rudders went through the Star Fighter,s canopy…..
As for the ANT 225, it was hungered somewhere in Ukraine and the Russian military used the airport for target practice thus the plane was destroyed….
There is another 225 airframe in storage and there are plans to recycle parts from the wrecked plane with the 2nd airframe….
Of course, the war has to end, but other than that………
To be more correct, the 225 was hangared, not hungered....just sayin.... no offense intended... it's destruction was criminal at best!

I invented that Paul Allen plane for launching rockets when I was about eight years old -- and over the years I've met several other kids who independently made the same invention at abut the same age.

Well first Id like to say that they got the plane wrong for the C-5 what they showed was a C-17 the C-5 is much bigger and does not have winglets, I stand corrected the second plane they have shown is the C-5 but the first one was not

I always wonder how cool it would be to just walk around, and through some of these huge planes … think the same thing. How can this monster fly? Then be right outside when the engines spool up for takeoff. Feel that power!!!
Actually, in one of the American transports, a group of soldiers played a basketball game inside one of those big mommas!
As long as lift is greater than weight, and thrust is greater than drag, pretty much anything will fly.
