Here's my personal two cents : Forseti is the Norse god of justice, and he's as young as Atreus and Thrud. His struggle should be deciding whether to serve Aesir justice and avenging his father because that's what Odin wants, and moral justice, having befriended Atreus and not holding a grudge because he knows how far off the deep end Baldur was. And during Ragnarok, being the catalyst to Atreus' victory over Heimdall, since he and Loki are mortal enemies and are supposed to kill each other.
If you decide to kill off brok l, why not have him transfer his soul to the Draupnir spear like that dwarf with the ring and have him be a travelling companion, also if you decide to give kratos and atreus a new weapon, give kratos gauntlets with electric properties to enhance his unarmed combat without having to give him a brand new moveset, and for atreus maybe a sword or staff like the ones the alfheim elves use or a hammer similar to the one the elf from the shadow of mordor (the small silver one, just make it a bit bigger) and have it imbued with the light of alfheim. That way they both have one of the elemental powers they lost from the first game.
17:50 I liked that you added that Brok and Sindri drama scene in the rewrite of the game I appreciate that being better than the glance he had with his brother (after learning the truth about himself being dead all along, finding it out and not being able to be seen by the lady due to not having a soul) that's just so dumb on Santa Monica to not have Brok lashed out on Sindri after learning of his own death himself and Sindri keeping it a secret just because he couldn't fathom loneliness on his own I did wished it was kept in the game like what you described here😊
I would like to explore more of the Aesir and their dynamics... I was kinda feeling let down when the game didnt let us explore Asgard and learn more about them and how they actually lived on daily basis and interact with eachother.
I've been catching up with your entire re-write of Ragnarok bro, and it has been excellent so far. Both the gameplay changes like adding aerial combos or giving Atreus cooler abilities, and how you added more Aesir organically, can't get enough of it. Swapping Heimdall with Vali is genius since he was born solely to avenge Baldur in the myths, and because he presents a bigger threat to Kratos. At the same time, that allows Heimdall to be SOLELY Atreus' nemesis and have HIM kill him, just like in the myths Loki kills Heimdall......but will Loki defy fate and not be killed ? That's where Forseti should come into the picture. If Thrud serves as a reminder to Kratos that children shouldn't bear the sins of their parents, Forseti, being the god of justice (and a young one too, around the same age as Atreus and Thrud), realizes that what happened to his father, Baldur, was due to the Aesir's injustice, therefore helping Loki. Keep it going, you deffo earned a sub.

The Jormungandr Cycle has to be the most basic plot point Santa Monica has ever developed, like seriously. Atreus puts the soul of a random giant into a random, lifeless snake in Ironwood, and then it just SLITHERS AWAY, AND LEAVES. That's the extent of the relationship between Atreus and Jormungandr, so what was the point in the World Serpent mentioning that he knew Atreus? It meant more without Ragnarok. because atleast then knowing Atreus is Loki, we can speculate they clearly have some sort of deeper connection in Jormungandr's past and Atreus', enough that he'd recognize a younger version of the boy thousands of years later for him and from his perspective. Or no! Maybe he just put a random soul into a random snake and then never freaking saw it again until the end when it was fighting Thor and it got zapped back in time! How you may ask?! I don't know! Nobody knows! THEY DON'T EXPLAIN ANY OF IT! So if you're willing to try and dig deeper into the relationship between the World Serpent and Atreus in your rewrite, me and many others would be damn happy for you to do it.
This is off topic, but I do have two ideas that could have made final boss fight with Odin a little better. The first one is giving Odin more spell veriaty. Like him being able to rain down hellfire and mystic enargy. He could also use the enviorment around him to create cool rock warriors, illousions, etc. The second thing I would change is have the final fight be between Odin vs Kratos, Atreus, Freya, Sindri, Freyr, and Thrud. Not just to help you against Odin, but the forces he might summon as well. In the end it would play out pretty much the same, the six of them beat the hell out of Odin, and Atreus reads him a bed time story

Everything's cool but i think we are like the same quantities of hours of original ragnarok or anyway we are near for sure. I think it's important to not overwhelm the ipothetical game and set an end to GOW Fimbulwinter/Ragnarok Part I, and then proceed with the final game of the trilogy.
Yo bro I got some Ideas for Kratos and Thor’s final fight at the end if the game, firstly tweaking Thor’s design like giving him back his armout it cover his entire body like how it was at the end of 2018 secondly making him more muscular pretty much giving him a more defined chest along with a more crazy beard and linger hair and for his armour to have platinum ram’s head as pauldrons and have both his gauntlets with them being more of a counter to the blades and his belt for the drip. Now for his boss fight both Kratos and Thor would go full power neither holding back trying their hardest to win with the fight being pretty much like their fight in Ragnarok but that would just be the first phase along witht he 2 flying during the battle with it ending the same way of Kratos stabbing Thor’s hand but then a massive bolt of lightning strikes Thor giving him a Spartan rage type transformation making his beard and hair longer making him mor muscular and less fat and pretty much hulking out with Kratos using his own rage to just stay even with the two have a full on anime type fight destroying everything around them hitting eachother they’re breaking through other realms shatter dimensions like glass just beating the everlover shit out of each other leaving the 2 bloody and brusied at the end and like really fucked up destroying the blades mjolnir the axe and the gauntlet during the clash along with each other By the end of the clash both are fighting with noting but fumes as fuel Kratos and Thor both have lost an arm each and breaking the other with how hard they were punching having each lost a peice of their heads both having punched eachother so hard that all the skin and alot of the meat had comm off with some of the skull showing both loosing an eye eventually they can’t fight any longer and just collapse to be found by Thrud and Atreus who bring them back to Sindri’s house where they heal all they’re wounds but are left with scars along with the weapons being fixed by Brok and Sindri but also upgraded and Thor just becomin neutral not with or against either jus tryna protect his fam

I had some ideas, a while back, about wasted potential i thought this game had that you may be able to explore later on; - One (or more) of the Gods from Greece tracking Kratos down (perhaps due to recognising the destructive pattern between greece and Scandinavia). I was thinking Apollo or Artemis (perhaps both), since we never really learn their fates if i recall correctly (maybe one could be a good guy like Tyr and the other can be more villainous, or both could be good and just seek revenge, or even both be villainous. There are many ways you could go about this). It would be interesting to see the norse and greek gods interact if possible, especially where kratos is involved. Maybe they even know tyr well and can be involved in his unveiling as odin. (I actually remember thinking a greek god would appear when i first saw the huntress centaur enemies, i dont really know why, probably cause i associate centaurs with the greek part of the series) - Kratos dying as prophesised. I like the idea of Kratos dying and fighting his way put Hel, similarly to how he fights his way out of tartarus and hades realm, would be a cool nod to the original trilogy. Perhaps, hræsvelgr, originally kinda an ally, can become a boss fight since she probably wont let you escape. - Time travel would be another cool way to nod to the original trilogy. Maybe we can find out who blew the horn and maybe it was kratos or even better, in my opinion, Loki/Atreus - Thor and Jormangandr fighting to the death at Ragnarok. Firstly, i just think Ragnarok should be a massive battle spanning all the realms and the place where all character arcs, macro and micro stories should converge to and conclude at, and at some point during that, Thor should fight the young world serpent in a battle that you and get to see UP CLOSE!! where they battle in the realm between realms and thor will send him back in time. Later on after Thor makes his decison to be better and finally stands up to odin, instead of being killed by odin, the older world serpent appears suddenly and violently and, not understanding the situation, heads straight for Thor who he hates, as Kratos and Atreus you try to stop the battle from happening and fail. Both kill each other and Thor takes his 9 steps before dying in thrudr's arms. I also think Fenrir should be more involved in Odins death, perhaps dealing the final blow - Thrudr's character should end with her becoming a valkyrie and ahe should be one by the time ragnarok starts. - I would have loved to see the war of the light and dark elves more intimately be more nuanced. They should only put aside their differences for Freyr who needs their help for ragnarok purposes. I dont thin their conflict could ever possibly be peacefully resolved since the light of alfheim is dealing with souls of the deceased and one wants to be left alone and the others wanna use it, i just cant see that conflict ever resolving, however it could become extremely nuanced, and could tie in to freyrs character arc. Also freyr just needs more to do since his sacrifice feels wieghtless at the end. - A more nuanced relationship between sinmara and surtr. Perhaps you actually have to do missions to make them finally agree to the task. Perhaps, its one of the main characters or main side characters idea to swap the hearts so surtr can transform. Or maybe its just their child Anyhow, thats my 2 cents
This is exactly why Ragnarok could’ve been a whole third game. Though I do understand why they didn’t do it, there’s just so many events that could’ve been explored upon beyond a broken mural or a Mimir story. These excellent ideas will be heavily considered..

I hope that when part 8 rolls around that atreus/loki gets into more mischievous stuff and really start manipulating people around asgard atreus barley manipulated anyone in the real game so id like to see him become more of a trickster

I’d have more dark elves come to the battle field that you can see in the background(flocks come in the battle but usually 1 big group at a time so I’d have it be 2 instead of 1**3 would be overwhelming in a not good way in my book**), I’d have jormy and thor closer and given 2 new animations, 1 that effects gameplay, have a couple more dragons on screen flying, and add 1 or 2 more fenrir vs dragon parts due to that. There’s more but that’s the gist.

I do think the ones we got were pretty great though, love the environmental via canons, is a cool way for us to use their weapons against them and the enemy’s they use during those work well with that mechanic. Probably my favorite section of the game overall. 2nd would be vanahiem 2.

My theory is they spent the remainder of the timeline recovering from Ares's explosion, hence why they did not fight for Olympus. Also, yes ! You might actually include them ! But no pressure. Would be awesome if you could have Völund, who is a mythical smith-god of the Nordic and Germanic peoples in Odin's Asgard. He could make Atreaus some blades kinda like Kratos but more Norse-like, maybe even repair the broken blade that Atreaus has.
Adding norse blades for atreus isn't something that would fit in my opinion But i do have some suggestions Main weapon: Laevethin This sword takes inspiration from loki's original weapon but has similar desing to a certain greek weapon "blade of Olympus" the sword acts similarly to kratos'axe returns to atreus when ever he calls for it, This sword Will be able glow Green and inflict emerald Energy when attacking it's adversaries and inflict major stun and damage to them, similar attacks to the olympian blade having it's runics, air runics and death from above attacks. Njord's boots: This Gold and silver boots Will allow Loki to ram on to he's enemies and Also allow him to climb and dash faster, the ram attacks of This boots Will leave enemies open for air juggles. I'd leave most of he's original combat mechanincs except have he's bow work similary to apolo's shoots fast but i can be charged for more stun and damage. Rage of the Giants: In This form atreus Will realise he's pontetial and have it's similarities to he's fathers rage and have faster and heavier attacks with he's blade and bow, Also would be able to turn into a wolf like In the normal game, This would be More like GOW3 rage mode considering atreus generally faster. I was thinking over a ultimate form like true Loki or something. And lastly of cource Let US upgraded him. BTW do you plan on volund to be an alie? If so that's dope
@davidemanuelarroyoportacio9499 Why wouldn't Norse-like blades work? Also, I would assume the Aseir God Blacksmith would want to repair or even give Atreus a better weapon. Plus, I feel he needs an actual melee weapon, so that gets him to start gaining muscles, he's way too skinny. I'm also just saying, but I wish Kratos actually taught him or had him train as a goddamm Spartan at least a bit because something like that doesn't just go away for someone like Kratos.

And lets be honest a fight between the god of wars would be sick as hell 🎉 3)I also think bringing back freya would be a good choice .this could be done with vanir magic and can give her a new arc where her perspective and character changes because of her dying and knowing what death is like. 4)Also since this is supposedly the 2nd game i cant wait to see how you wrap the cliffhanger its gonna have. 5)I was thinking of having a new rage mode calles something like (rage of the ghost of Sparta) where you can empty your rage bar into a new one by holding the analogs and activate it using the same method.(similar to dmc5) when you activate it the screen goes red and bloody with a transparent omega simbol in the background and a new set of animations are available where every attack will be heavier and deadlier.every few combos you also perform a bloody takedown. 6)Also since atreus can now turn into more animals I was thinking maybe you can come up with a gameplay mechanic where you can alternate between animals forms ?each having their own uses Also maybe a few new additions?like fox,serpent,wolver and maybe an ultimate form (that can possibly be his inner loki) ? 4:42 dude, that one was a bit too obvious of a clue. Also, are all Krakens capable of Realm crossing ? It would explain the one in the second game, but why aren't them in Odin's army then ? Why be allowed to roam freely ?
My bad somebody already predicted that so I was like oh well. As far as the Kraken I honestly haven’t thought too much about them lol. I did plan on having more of them in the third game but not as bosses. Odin sent this one after the rebellion to keep them Dwarves in check.

- Thor and Jormangandr fighting to the death at Ragnarok. Firstly, i just think Ragnarok should be a massive battle spanning all the realms and the place where all character arcs, macro and micro stories should converge to and conclude at, and at some point during that, Thor should fight the young world serpent in a battle that you and get to see UP CLOSE!! where they battle in the realm between realms and thor will send him back in time. Later on after Thor makes his decison to be better and finally stands up to odin, instead of being killed by odin, the older world serpent appears suddenly and violently and, not understanding the situation, heads straight for Thor who he hates, as Kratos and Atreus you try to stop the battle from happening and fail. Both kill each other and Thor takes his 9 steps before dying in thrudr's arms. I also think Fenrir should be more involved in Odins death, perhaps dealing the final blow
- Thrudr's character should end with her becoming a valkyrie and ahe should be one by the time ragnarok starts.
- I would have loved to see the war of the light and dark elves more intimately be more nuanced. They should only put aside their differences for Freyr who needs their help for ragnarok purposes. I dont thin their conflict could ever possibly be peacefully resolved since the light of alfheim is dealing with souls of the deceased and one wants to be left alone and the others wanna use it, i just cant see that conflict ever resolving, however it could become extremely nuanced, and could tie in to freyrs character arc. Also freyr just needs more to do since his sacrifice feels wieghtless at the end.
- A more nuanced relationship between sinmara and surtr. Perhaps you actually have to do missions to make them finally agree to the task. Perhaps, its one of the main characters or main side characters idea to swap the hearts so surtr can transform. Or maybe its just their child
Anyhow, thats my 2 cents
This is exactly why Ragnarok could’ve been a whole third game. Though I do understand why they didn’t do it, there’s just so many events that could’ve been explored upon beyond a broken mural or a Mimir story. These excellent ideas will be heavily considered..

@@TheNature904 Scrapped it IIRC. My main idea was honestly it being around the same BUT just more. I’d have more dark elves come to the battle field that you can see in the background(flocks come in the battle but usually 1 big group at a time so I’d have it be 2 instead of 1**3 would be overwhelming in a not good way in my book**), I’d have jormy and thor closer and given 2 new animations, 1 that effects gameplay, have a couple more dragons on screen flying, and add 1 or 2 more fenrir vs dragon parts due to that. There’s more but that’s the gist.

I do think the ones we got were pretty great though, love the environmental via canons, is a cool way for us to use their weapons against them and the enemy’s they use during those work well with that mechanic. Probably my favorite section of the game overall. 2nd would be vanahiem 2.

@@TheNature904 no. The creator confirmed the two that were sent through the mirror stayed trapped in the past, but survived. My theory is they spent the remainder of the timeline recovering from Ares's explosion, hence why they did not fight for Olympus.

Would be awesome if you could have Völund, who is a mythical smith-god of the Nordic and Germanic peoples in Odin's Asgard. He could make Atreaus some blades kinda like Kratos but more Norse-like, maybe even repair the broken blade that Atreaus has.
Adding norse blades for atreus isn't something that would fit in my opinion
But i do have some suggestions
Main weapon:
Laevethin
This sword takes inspiration from loki's original weapon but has similar desing to a certain greek weapon "blade of Olympus" the sword acts similarly to kratos'axe returns to atreus when ever he calls for it, This sword Will be able glow Green and inflict emerald Energy when attacking it's adversaries and inflict major stun and damage to them, similar attacks to the olympian blade having it's runics, air runics and death from above attacks.
Njord's boots:
This Gold and silver boots Will allow Loki to ram on to he's enemies and Also allow him to climb and dash faster, the ram attacks of This boots Will leave enemies open for air juggles.
I'd leave most of he's original combat mechanincs except have he's bow work similary to apolo's shoots fast but i can be charged for more stun and damage.
Rage of the Giants:
In This form atreus Will realise he's pontetial and have it's similarities to he's fathers rage and have faster and heavier attacks with he's blade and bow, Also would be able to turn into a wolf like In the normal game, This would be More like GOW3 rage mode considering atreus generally faster.
I was thinking over a ultimate form like true Loki or something. And lastly of cource Let US upgraded him.
BTW do you plan on volund to be an alie? If so that's dope
@davidemanuelarroyoportacio9499 Why wouldn't Norse-like blades work? Also, I would assume the Aseir God Blacksmith would want to repair or even give Atreus a better weapon. Plus, I feel he needs an actual melee weapon, so that gets him to start gaining muscles, he's way too skinny. I'm also just saying, but I wish Kratos actually taught him or had him train as a goddamm Spartan at least a bit because something like that doesn't just go away for someone like Kratos.

1)The astral power you mentioned in this video , is it going to be related to the higher plain of existence?or is it a different thing at all ?
2)I think the story would be much more interesting if tyr wasnt odin and instead we see the real tyr going down the path of mental breakdown due to his imprisonment and ragnarok. And lets be honest a fight between the god of wars would be sick as hell 🎉
3)I also think bringing back freya would be a good choice .this could be done with vanir magic and can give her a new arc where her perspective and character changes because of her dying and knowing what death is like.
4)Also since this is supposedly the 2nd game i cant wait to see how you wrap the cliffhanger its gonna have.
5)I was thinking of having a new rage mode calles something like (rage of the ghost of Sparta) where you can empty your rage bar into a new one by holding the analogs and activate it using the same method.(similar to dmc5) when you activate it the screen goes red and bloody with a transparent omega simbol in the background and a new set of animations are available where every attack will be heavier and deadlier.every few combos you also perform a bloody takedown.
6)Also since atreus can now turn into more animals I was thinking maybe you can come up with a gameplay mechanic where you can alternate between animals forms ?each having their own uses
Also maybe a few new additions?like fox,serpent,wolver and maybe an ultimate form (that can possibly be his inner loki) ?

As far as the Kraken I honestly haven’t thought too much about them lol. I did plan on having more of them in the third game but not as bosses. Odin sent this one after the rebellion to keep them Dwarves in check.
