Thank you, that is very sweet of you. How are your roses doing? It has been so hot and humid here, we just had a good rain, I need to check on the roses. Tomorrow morning tho, there might be a lot needed to trim back and deadheaded.
@@liensgarden301 I have a David Austin Bathsheba and a Generous Gardener - but they get very little light with no direct sun. Bathsheba still does well, but the GG is partly hidden by a shrub, so I never really see its flowers. A couple of weeks ago I transferred some short climbers from pots to the opposite fence where they will get lots of sun. All my climbers are on 6 foot tall fences shared with neighbours, so have to be kept short.
Hi again ! The colour of this rose is so vivid ! Impressive how quick it grew ! I also really like your elderberry, I had trouble growing elderberries in my garden; What kind of bird do we hear at the end of your video ?
Hi there, sorry I had a very busy day today so I couldn't get back to you sooner. Yes I love the color and blooms and everything of this rose. I will have to listen to the video again if I can recognize the bird's sounds, I am not good at that tho.
Oh, I chopped one of my elderberry bushes down the other day, It was too big, too shady for other plants around it and the root system was huge, I still keep 2 other bushes tho. Do you know why yours struggling?
@mypreciousgarden all of mine in full sun, one of my bushes is very sensitive to the soil, if the soil is Alkaline then the leaves just get burnt so sometimes I give it some Iron Charlate, maybe you try to do that?
I have tried four times to reply to you but my comments seem to disappear ? After doing a count I have 27 climbers, I think, and about 66 shrub and HT roses. My favourites include James Galway, Bathsheba, Eden ( when I can get her to bloom ), Gardeners Glory, Giardina, Floriana ( glorious fragrance ), Aphrodite, Chandos Beauty, Olivia Rose, Eustacia Vye, Empereur Charles IV, Chippendale ( best performer in the whole collection ).
Oh really? I am not sure of the messages disappeared because it happened to me a few times a while ago, and thank you for your perseverance. You have a lot of roses, a lot of them aren't available here and a lot I haven't heard before, thank you for sharing all that. Do you grow them in the ground or in the containers?
Mme Isaac Periere. I also tried pegging the canes and it did produce blooms but the foliage becomes spotted, black and dies and by the next season the canes become black and less productive. I love the blooms and the fragrance but its an awful plant in my gsrden. I’m in NE Ireland, zone 9, mild but a bit gray and soggy with max 25c on exceptional days.
@roontunes I noticed mine loves dry and sunny weather, doesn't the wet weather or humid, so that is why yours have black spots. Do you have other climbing roses in your garden?
Love your rose updates. You sure have a green (rosey) thumb. I always look forward to your posts.
Thank you, that is very sweet of you.

Your climber is standing tall and looking good...💚🥀 Hi Lien
Thank you, it is looking so good, the buds are forming for the third flush now, I am so happy about it.
That's an amazing number of blooms there!
Thank you and yes it is, I highly remember it.
Do you have some climbing roses in your yard too?

Hi Lien, I love this rose so much, such a famous old rose with a very strong beautiful fragrance. I'm just happy that you grow it.
Thank you, so you have it growing in your yard too?
What a wonderful rose and very old variety but still performs so well.

@@liensgarden301 I really don't know, they're supposed to be easy plants....I thought maybe too much sun ?

I have the same rose but it suffers badly from Blackspot
Which one?

Yes I have 13 climbers ( I think ), we do have a lot of rain but the other roses are not as badly affected as Madame
@roontunes wow, you got so many climbing roses.
So how many roses do you have totally?
And which ones are your favorites?
