- Learn how I built this really cool DIY accent wall for our nursery! We are expecting our first child in March so in my time off I have been working on the baby's room, and did this really cool accent wall detail with celestial wallpaper and board and batten wainscoting. It was a pretty easy project, but definitely made a huge difference in the overall look of the nursery. If you are expecting a baby soon, better get working on the nursery and this is a cool little DIY project to really set off the whole room!

Nice 👌 👋 Congrats 👊 I did this in my dining room and added crown molding. MDF I also used. Pretty inexpensive, amazes me how cheap builders are.
It definitely adds a huge impact for a pretty easy project!

I’m looking for a floral one for our baby girl! ALSO did you have textured walls? If so did you have to smooth them so you could apply the wallpaper? Thanks again!! 🙏🏼

Looks great. The outlet should have gotten a gang box extension. Plastic color coded for thickness required piece with longer screws. Also, keep house fairly noisy and baby will sleep thru anything. Good luck / best wishes!
Good tip on the box extension, I wasn’t aware of those! We definitely plan to raise the baby in a noisy house lol, hopefully they get with the program 🤣

Did you caulk along the top of the board where it met the wallpaper?
I did not, I had the wallpaper go behind the trim so that it was a clean transition
