When you get a good crust on the steak, you know hit a home run. The garlic and butter baste are a nice touch. A nice pink in the middle is the way to go. Cheers, CJ!

Love the video. I put butter down on the e series before I hit it with the ribeyes, and the sear came out perfect like it does on my cast iron and outdoor Blackstone!

The E series would be perfect for those that don’t have that outdoor space and did a decent job on the steak - but there’s nothing like cooking outdoors. Enjoying the comparison videos

Just got my 22" E series from Walmart the other day. Looking forward to my camping trip in a couple weeks to try it out. I looked at both the standard and the E series for my camper and I went with the E series because I think its just a little easier to deal with when camping.

Nothing like the outdoor variety brother. Got the 3 burner 30" blackstone and loving it. Cook on it 3 to 4 times a week for breakfast lunch and dinner. Need some ideas of your specialties on this thing.
It really is a great cooker. I almost pulled the trigger on the 36", but didn't yet.

@@CookingWithCJ yep, I have a large electric griddle that I do pancakes on, gave thought about doing an Omlette, but my years in the professional kitchen always has me go for the pan and the stick of butter..... lmfao
I Just got my E Series grill I believe it takes a lot longer to heat up than the traditional Grill , and probably in time you will get a better crust once you use the non stick griddle more and break it in

Can I ask what temperature you had the indoor E series grill set to? We're trying to find something to travel with - we cook steaks, &/or other meat every day- that gets hot enough to really do the job. Hard to replicate the crispy sides we get w/our ninja air fryer/grill, but the cleaning & maintenance is beyond horrid~ it's just not worth it anymore. Which is what brought me to your channel, in search of a better way, so to speak. I wish someone would make something like this electric, ESeries but w/a cast iron cooktop~ that would be perfect.

Did you do a video that explains the differences in these 2? It seems like the controls as well as the heating surface are different? Is there a reason why you couldn't use the regular Blackstone indoors? Tuna isn't a fin of the Non-stick stuff.
Just did the two cooks using both. I know a lot of people use the regular one indoors, but I think there's too much of a chance of smoke, fire alarms, etc...
@@CookingWithCJ Ah, makes sense. Tuna wasn't sure if maybe it got too hot or something, but Tuna didn't seem to think that would be too much of an issue with other similar appliances used. These Blackstones seem really nice, Tuna is thinking abotu investing into one, but not sure what size.. The smaller ones look nice for portability! Tuna saw a mid-sized one outside the other day in a neighbor's backyard!

You did a bad job on the E - griddle, you gave all the oil and butter on the cast iron and almost nothing for the E - griddle. I have the E- 22 Griddle and my steaks come out like your steak on the cast iron came out.
One is new the other is old the d will have been cooked on so yea it will look better next time make sure it's fair lol
There is no seasoning process on the new e series. It's a non-stick surface.
