Update on Ace - I have gotten him involved in playing some of the games ruclips.net/user/postUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU and I can see a difference in his confidence already! My other dog played along and he became intrigued - now its a daily part of our routine - about 3 times a day we do the shell game and the muffin tin game. I am so grateful for coming upon your training techniques!

I'd argue recall is more important then lie down. Sit basically serves the purpose. Sit is an easy command, so thats #1, (the dog name you'll get for free, as you hang out with your dog). 2# is recall, and 3# is proberbly lie down.

@@lalehd8166 a puppy is way different. Baby animals know absolutely nothing, they’re a clean slate. So puppies take proper training to teach those things.

You should train your dog my sister didnt til he was two and she cant bring the dog into her apartment she moved out so he's two years old and hes still nippy for the most part. My sister taught him how to sit and i trained him to be more obedient, lie down, stay, etc but he isnt too good with other dogs

Golden doodles are a mix of smart and people pleasing dogs so it’s not surprising he’s picking up on it really fast
Same! At the end of this week my puppy will be twelve weeks old, plus we just got her a couple days ago and she is a mix of a German shepherd and pocket pit bull. So as you can imagine she has a lot of energy and loves to bite. It’s so freaking difficult to deal with her because she is the most hyper active dog I have ever met.

For about a year I've watched your videos, longing for a dog, pestering my husband. He eventually snapped and told me we are NOT getting one.

They’re teething! I would recommend that when they bite you, calmly and sternly say,” no (insert puppies name)”. Every time it bites you repeat that and it’ll catch on. Also give them a toy to chew on so that they can teeth healthily.

I used this technique I saw in one of your other videos for our puppy we just got 2 weeks ago! He learned sit and lay down within like 10 minutes and then just yesterday he learned paw/shake. He accidently gave me his paw and I have him the biggest accolades and excitement. Then he did it again and I gave him treat rewards. This morning he remembered and was able to do it again. So exciting to watch them learn!

@@afrent9296 I didn't really go into detail. Cats are ADORABLE, but solitary. Unless you've raised them since they were hairless infants, they will probably see you as a couch that brings you food, and develop no attachment. But as with dogs, (and any other pet) it depends on the personality, yet cats are naturally less emotional. Dogs lean more toward emotional attachment, because, (And you might've heard this before) they are pack animals. After a couple years of maturing, the cat leaves it's mother and siblings, but dogs spend their whole lives with the pack, naturally bonding and making friends. I may have been blunt in my first comment, but you can't deny the fact that cats are overrated, and valued for appearance, friendliness being a bonus, while even the ugliest dogs can form at least a teeny personal attachment. Your kitten might be affectionate, but your cat will still be okay with leaving when they come of age. It's just a matter of psychology, kitties are not designed to be pets, but they are supposed to be solitary hunters.
Our 8 week old pup learned her name in literally minutes and continues to come when called 😊 I’ll be watching more videos!

My new puppy is catching on SO quick. He’s already good with “sit” and “come here” and “no” it’s just his biting. I don’t mind it I just want to teach him the right pressure. He’s getting better. And his potty training. He’s doing great but still makes some mistakes here and there. I’m so proud of him!!
Try natural bitter spray from pet store. They are safe and work wonders for my bermise. I spray it on my hands and one lick of them he would stop. Just dnt eat or touch your mouth with your hands without washing them or ull end up with the bitterness in your mouth too haha

My granddad was opposed to the idea of me buying a dog but I got one anyway. He frowned the first day. After a day or two I walk in to the living room with my granddad lying on the floor on his back and the puppy eating his food from his belly while he is scratching his ear. Either you’re crazy good at training or that dog is a genius to be that young and learned his name and how to sit that fast. Impressive!!
most dogs learn their names fairly quickly just from regular play. I've had a few puppies and by just excitedly saying their name they learned it swiftly. Sitting is very instinctual for dogs and even with the classic "physically lowering the bum" method they'll learn it after a few tries. I find it's hardest with small dogs because their bums are already close to the ground, so they may not get it till they're a bit taller!
I’ve followed since 400k, you’ve helped me so much, my dogs are now 2 years old and are so well behaved because of the tricks, behavior tips, and much more you’ve taught me and other!

We are getting a puppy this weekend, and since i'm going to be the only one home all day, I've been put in charge of training it. These vids are very helpful and I will keep these tips in mind :D

I'm so glad I've found this. I'm getting a puppy real soon (about 3 weeks away), and I want to prepare everything before the day so it's not stressful for me aswell as the pup.
It feels a little odd to say this, but I've just realised I know these basics already from playing Nintendogs! It's nice to see that I didn't just waste my childhood playing these games for nothing haha, it's great to see it actually working!

Elvis You've clearly never been bit by a puppy :'D Haha! Their teeth are small but razor sharp - much sharper than adult dogs' :p
These little ones don't really bite in the sense of really chomping down on you. It's more of a nibble and usually leaves behind nothing more then a slight scratch if anything. Their teeth are really sharp but they don't use them for damaging purposes, usually more of an "itch" in their gums that they need to adress with some nibbling. Doesn't hurt much unless you have a very low paintreshold.

Tip #1, have a quality vacuum and lots of lint brushes. Sheps shed like its nobody's business but they are ridiculously smart and easily trainable dogs. I grew up with Shiz Tzus but my Shep puppy of a year has made me a full convert.

I really want a puppy, but I live in a flat...when I moved countries I left my dog behind with grandparents and when I returned for a visit he looked old and scruffy, mainly because he never healed from his injury, his back paw got bitten off by a monkey, so he had 3 legs and went on for 3 years with three legs...my mum decided to put him down because he was suffering too much, it was valentines day, I will always remember him, he was the best dog I ever I had
People used to stop me when I walking him on the beach and tell me that he looked like a lion or bear, he was a mixed breed, Chinese chow and another breed...he lived for 15 years...

@@dylanwilliamson1315 Well, the question was "Do you mind" and the answer was "yes". So they do mind, meaning they don't want you doing what you asked whether they minded or not.
However, in the video, the "Of course" was taken as granted permission, which makes absolutely no sense.
It's like "I could care less" instead of "I couldn't care less". The second makes sense - you care so little, you cannot possibly care any less. If you could care less, then clearly you are not at the lowest point yet.
For some reason, the meanings of both of those are reversed in American English.

@@therealhads Maybe it depends on the region. I distinctly remember an American asking me a "Do you mind" question and when I said "no" was taken aback and surprised by my "refusal".
