I was just thinking about the KingFisher painting that you shared on one of your community posts. Therefore, I was looking it up, found this instead. I still believe, of all the renditions of that particular bird, I like your's the best. The colors are betrer and look more natural. I, myself, wouldn't attempt to paint one of those, instead, when I get around to it, I will paint our native Belted Kingfisher, the one I am familiar with and used to watch as a child, and young person. My family home has a creek behind it and a pond in front and beside of it, so we had lots of places to play and observe wildlife. Thank you, Paul for sharing your lovely art and skills with us.
One of my favorite birds, especially the belted kingfisher. Usually the first indication I have that one is around is the sound of the plop into the water.
As always, on point. Am planning a flannel flower watercolour for my dear friends birthday. I'll be taking on board some of your fine details Paul. Thank you.
Spectacular. Thank you. Great to watch the details unfold as you paint. Voiceover helps tremendously. Great too, to see reference photo during the process.
So beautifully detailed. Love the many strokes on its feathers. Graphite paper ( I still call it carbon paper,) is a wonderful tool to use. Exquisite Paul!
Hello from Japan. Beautiful painting but very advanced, at least for me. Have you ever considered painting a parakeet? I think they’re called budgies in the UK? They are very colorful and maybe simpler for beginners like me? Thank you sir!
Hi Linda, I haven't painted a parakeet, but that's a lovely idea! I have painted a parrot ruclips.net/video/vk6Ch3JoaHc/видео.html but I will certainly put it on my possibles list for you. 😀

That's rue with the European Kingfisher as well, mind you, we normally hear a loud pitch single toned call as well. 🙂
Gorgeous!
Thank you very much Angelia. 😊

This is a beautiful painting. Such beautiful, vibrant colors. Did you like the watercolors by Regina?
Hi, yes it is Regina's watercolours, here is the link: www.reginaswatercolor.com/
That's superb, Paul. I've no idea how long it took to paint it, but the details are wonderful. Great painting.
Hi Tom, it's hard to say but as a guess possibly 10 or so hours.

@@TheDevonArtist Thank you for considering my request I appreciate it!
Paul, what tape do you use please? Can you post a link if possible. I've tried many, without success. Thanks!
Hi Tassie, the one I use I purchased from Amazon, it's called Crafter's Companion, and it's a low tack tape. www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07NDDZ962/
