      Maire, vous êtes les bienvenus. N'oubliez pas de faire de petits pas lors de l'apprentissage de l'aquarelle, de tester diverses méthodes et de connaître à la fois les peintures et la quantité d'eau à y ajouter.
      Et surtout, amusez-vous! Paul

      Thank you very much Mandar. Ooh, a Lion, now that's an excellent challenge for you. Why not test out on some scrap watercolour paper using some fine lined masking fluid to reserve some hairs. You can even add the masking fluid over the top of paint as well, but remember to test any ideas out first. Paul 🎨

    Hi! I'm in the middle of painting a mother grizzly doing a little fishing to feed her cubs in the background. I'm trying to keep the bears from clashing into the forest background. I'm very new to watercolors after doing acrylics for many years.

    • @TheDevonArtist
      @TheDevonArtist  2 года назад

      Hi Rhonda, what a lovely project to be working on! As long as you keep the background less defined and to a duller, cooler feel, the bears should come forward a little more. Enjoy the process, Paul 🎨

      Salut Marie, merci beaucoup pour vos aimables paroles, comme vous pouvez le voir j'adore peindre la faune à l'aquarelle. J'utilise Google Traduction pour saisir cette réponse.
      Le pinceau que j'utilise pour peindre plusieurs lignes à la fois est fabriqué par moi-même. Tout ce que j'ai utilisé, c'est une très vieille brosse, qui était prête à aller à la poubelle. Voici un lien vers une vidéo sur ici comment j'utilise et fait ce petit pinceau basique, d'aspect rugueux mais à effet. Je lui ai donné un nom et il s’appelle maintenant un réplicateur. LOL
      Merci, Paul

      Age shouldn't be a barrier Gayle. I have a list of all the materials I use on my website if it helps. As you have found out, you don't need a lot of equipment, but good reliable (not too expensive) brushes are a must. Hi Heather, sadly I don't know the stockists where you are. If you have a look at my product's page, it will give you some ideas on the items you need to search for over cross the water there. devonartist.co.uk/materials-i-use-or-recommend-for-realistic-watercolour/
      I'm guessing the Winsor & Newton size 00 brushes should at least be available where you are. Hope this helps, Paul 🎨

    May I ask how long this took you to do approximately and roughly how many layers do you estimate? Thanks.

    • @TheDevonArtist
      @TheDevonArtist  2 месяца назад +1

      As a guess I would say four layers, starting with a background wash, then light, mid and dark layer tones for the details. Time wise, hard to say, but I would place it around the 15 hours mark. 😊
