    That number is the speed relative to the DME antenna. If you fly parallel to the transmitter (DME) the speed will be 0. ATP RW

      Thank you Tom, I was looking specifically for that info!
      Very usefull to complete a DME arc, mantaining that value in 0, as we should mantain a deffine distance to the VOR

    This is a very cool panel indeed. I can see I'm going to be using this a lot, especially when dealing AI or VATsim ATC. Thanks. :)

      Let us know how you get on with your Radio Panel.

  • @tomfisher8201

    Also remember, that DME distance is “Slant range”, the distance along a piece of string from the aircraft to the DME antenna which would be farther (longer) then the GPS distance would display.

    • @Huddison

      Another brilliant addition - thanks again Tom.

    • @Buddy308
      @Buddy308 2 года назад

      Which explains why the number decreases as one nears the antenna. As the distance reaches its nadir (won't go to 0 unless the plane is at the altitude of the transmitter) the speed should momentarily go to 0 just for an instant before it starts increasing. Just for fun, I'll see if I can spot it doing that.

    10:02 a few moments later when you zoom in, on the altitude you have very similar number. If you look at the moment before you zoom out you will see that the display have delay, but it just matched the last altitude value.

    Great videos as always! Would be great if Logitech got these working t=with the Xbox. Surely it can't be that difficult to create an interface - similar to what Honeycomb have done for their Alpha XPC yoke & throttle quadrant. Wonder if something could be done with a raspberry Pi or similar. Guess it would just be a translation from logitech output to ascii key or similar, so it could be mapped. Unless Xbox could do something.

    James. IM Flying here. Great video as always. Question: Thinking about changing from the logitech yoke system to the velocity one yoke system. Do you know if these logitech panels { I have 3 of them- radio, multi and switch) will work with the velocity one yoke system? Thankyou.

    • @Huddison

      Yes they will all work fine (on PC MSFS of course). I often use my panels and Rudder Pedals with my V1F.

    A stupid question but, for example when you set an squak code but then you swtich to the dme section, the squak code remains the same ?
    And thats the same for the other sections?

    • @Huddison
      @Huddison  Год назад

      Just tested it and the Squawk code remained the same (you can double check this in the aircraft you're flying).

    Have the panel since today, love it, but how to solve the problem with the missing 3rd digit for some nav frequencys (5)? 😢

    • @Huddison
      @Huddison  Год назад

      It'll show in the sim, but not on the actual panel; all works as should though.

    • @manuelberzen671
      @manuelberzen671 Год назад

      But can you use it for vatsim and simply ignore the 3rd digit? Or is it necessary to manually set it in the sim?

    • @Huddison
      @Huddison  Год назад

      Focus in on your actual aircraft's NAV/Comms numbers and you'll see that you can get that third digit up in the sim - it just doesn't display on the physical Logitech Radio Panel. @@manuelberzen671

    • @Huddison

      You can set it via the knob/s on the Radio Panel, but will have to reference the digit change in the sim itself. @@manuelberzen671

      Old timers: when you are flying on victor airways, it’s roughly the ground speed. When you have both TAS and ground speed, you roughly know the headwind or tailwind component enroute for better fuel plan.
