I had started painting miniatures just a month ago and today bought this wet palette without viewing any reviews first. I confess I choose it because it was avaliable for me via Amazon, it was affordable, I didn't liked what was on AliExpress and at the time of purchase I only could think that spend more time cutting parchment paper, cleaning mold and getting rid of rank odors on my home made wet palette wasn't worth the effort - I live in a relatively warm and humid place, and mold build fast here. Very nice to know my money is well invested. Thank you very much for this review 😊
Just bought one of these ! Came on to look at reviews before i try it out ! Still a beginner so am looking forward to seeing how this helps my hobby progress ! Good review, thanks 😊
So far so good ! Really enjoy using the WP - bit of a game changer to be honest!! Just watched a video on an airbrush kit review, 10 months after purchase. I thought to myself "I've seen this chap before " but couldn't remember where at first. Then it hit me, aha, it's the wet pallete review chap! So I came back here and yes, I was correct ! Haha I think I'm going to get one of those airbrush kits next! Another great review btw ! Cheers
Are you a Midlander? I am. It's the accent, I think we can detect our own! I may be wrong though, (sometimes, but rarely). 🙂 I use an Army Painter Wet Palette and I'm happy with it, I keep some brushes in the lid, and in the larger open compartment, I keep an old piece (about 2") of rubber car windscreen cleaner "blade" to squeegee out any air bubbles or creases when I change the paper, then use 4 pennies on the corners to keep it flat. (They're supposed to help prevent mould too). I've been using mine for about 6-7 months, no problems at all, good value as well. I may try washing the sponge (even though I have 3 spares) in a pocket when I wash some trousers or in a sock (no fabric conditioner though) and see if it A) shreds the foam/sponge or, B) makes it clean and like new. Great video mate!
@Greedy 3D I'm from Wolvo, but live closer to Dudley now, a black country bastard through and through! You tried any of the Army Painter brushes? The masterclass drybrush set is pretty good and only £15 compared to the Artis Opus set that's about £80! I'm starting my own channel soon (I just can't get to grips with a nice intro that I'm happy with!).
@Greedy 3D I'll throw you a sub, no worries, every single one counts. What software/how did you make your intro and thumbnails? I have tons of content and ideas ready to upload, from Warhammer to scale model aircraft and resin 3D printing (and a potential sponsor). The only thing holding me back is an intro (6 seconds or so) and some thumbnails, I'm a painter, not a graphic designer with mad Photoshop skills. I can edit and splice a video, no problem, but creating an intro with some music or something is annoying, and I just can't find the right mix. It's nice to see someone local (relatively) on here as there's so many Americans, and it's all about dollars, I use £'s, as that's how I pay for things and so many channels have links to US stores, no use to me. Take it easy mate!
