I hear some people are using windshield washer fluid for cars instead of the more expensive cleaners. Any opinions about this?

Nice set up! Just a word of caution I would keep your paint pots away from the window due to the UV light that would fade the pigment colors. Nice set up though. .. fun times..👍

It looks great! That feeling when you place statues on a newly installed shelf is always one that I hate. Heads up -- I know you're in the UK and you guys don't get a ton of sun but the paint may dry out quick in that area.

Great review! Same problems I was having, heat, didn't even cross my mind as I've had mine a couple of weeks and when it turned cold, started having the issues but again, didn't even cross my mind. Have 1 on order. Tried to use your link for the heater but says none available to ship to US. Had to order off Amazon US. Thanks for the lesson!!

Have you tested Phrozen's Aqua 4K resin? I found it to capture more detail than anything besides Amerilabs, but with almost zero shrinkage. Figure it'd be a great pairing for the Reflexes with the right profile chosen! (I've got enough siting around from unused printers I'd honestly be happy to mail you some, although I'm in Los Angeles...)

Mines about 1 foot smaller than the right and I have a 30 inch wide spray booth that doubles as my build area.

thanks for sharing, mine was making the same noise, but no cavitation was produced so no cleaning happened. So disappointed with the customer service, toing and froing with emails, videos and pictures; in the end I received a refund, but my opinion of both this product and Sunlu is tarnished.

Of you repeat the same practice, you get the same result. I just made some great spider's web for 40K Mandrakes. Handling airbrush gently, about 3cm from a surface. My questions are: 1. How to efficiently clean the airbrush with the GSW cleaner? After 2 sessions of spidering I ran out of it. 2. Is there a way to preserve the web, so it doesn't get destroyed by playing.

Hi Greedy3D! For your various tests including this one; did you choose the PARP10 settings randomly and saw that it printed nicely (hence stuck to it), or did you compare it first to the other resin settings in Blueprint Studio (PAS10, PAP10, PAWR10…) before finally picking this one as the best?

I am new to 3d printing and have this printer. I have had success with putting a brew belt around the resin vat and heating the resin that way.

So I just found out that Elegoo WILL NOT SUPPORT any of us that got ripped off with their failed Jupiter printers. DO NOT GIVE THESE CROOKS YOUR MONEY and instead goto another company that takes repsonsibilty for their mistakes. I have now been trying for over a year to get them to offer me a fix for this PAPERWEIGHT of a shit printer and finally got it looked at by higher ups and they just got back to me saying basically "Tough Luck" and I have to pay for repairs for a FAULTY GARBAGE PRINTER that was DEFECTIVE FROM THE BEGIN NING !!! I just finished buying their Saturn 4 Ultra and am now going to sell it as want NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS DISGUSTING COMPANY !! Sick and tired of Chinese companies that do not give a damn about support and tired of supporting them as well !!! I have spent over a dozen bottles of resin following their advuice on how to get it to print yet NOTHING sticks to the print bed no matter what setting I try or resins !!! They now admit that I have a FAULTY LCD screen after more than 1 year of bickering back and forth !! Disgusting scumbags !!! I will now be selling my Almost brand new Jupiter and Saturn 4 ultra which I bought less than 1 month ago if anyone is interested please let me know. I am going over to Phrozen as at least they offer decent support from what I have heard. Anybody else have a bad experience with the Jupiter line of printers please let me know as maybe we can get together and at least cost them some business

So basically if it doesnt need to have some heft to it, and it is larger, then its worth hollowing out? I tend to print miniatures as many others do, but in my case I like to make amiibos. But it is good to know either way for when I do have to make bigger prints.

I have the Elegoo Mercury X wash and cure station currently. Do you think that would be fine or is it worth it to spend the extra money on their wash and cure station?

Question does this compressor run all the time since I don’t see a tank on it?

Hey Greedy - nice video. I was just wondering - I live in the Northwest of England and I too have my printer pretty much in a shed so I assume my printer currently has to cope with similar temperatures to yours. I have a GK2 which generally does okay but my next print will be pretty much the first time I've ever printed at temperatures as low as they are currently are. On my previous printer I had no real heating option so I simply didn't bother come autumn/winter. And so I just wondered - how do you actually store your resin when not in immediate use? I'm a bit worried now that if I leave the resin in the shed will it end up being not useable if it gets below freezing? I can store it in the house and our kids are old enough now that they'd know not to mess with stuff like that even if they knew where it was, but I'd still rather keep it in the shed if I can.

Excellent review, showing the problems users will have when printing in cold temperatures, and the great solutions you’ve used to help solve the problems, especially those initial “base or burn-in” layers at the start of a print. Warm resin is the ticket, but I’ve mused or fantasized about how much of an assist it would be to ALSO have a “heating element” built into te “build plate” itself. If you think about it, let’s say your “man cave” is cold, but you have a printer like the GK 2, with an “under screen” heater, or you have the Heygears RS with the “vat heater”. So, your resin gets warmed up nicely, but your build plate (being a large slab of aluminum or stainless steel, which is a large thermal “heat sink”) is dang cold. Even if the build plate gets dipped in and out of the resin vat several times, either before or during the critical “base layer adhesion” or base-layer-curing period, the build plate is cold and will quickly cool down the resin that touches it. I can’t imagine this resin “thermal shock” is helpful for “base layer adhesion” to the build plate. So, having a temp-controlled heating element in the build plate seems like a wise addition, if it could be added by printer manufacturers in the future.

Elagoo has already introduced vat heater in their yet to release 16K Saturn 4 Ultra (formnext reveal) and I'm sure they have something for future Mars Ultra series too. The major problem I see is the placement of the peel force sensor. If it was a standard bulid plate lift only mechanism then yes, the force sensor is in the right place but that is not the case with the ultra series with it's tilting vat mechanism. As the build plate moves up during printing process so will the peel force variations due to the printed part build height stiffness and that makes the measurement inconsistant and inaccurate. The ideal place to install the force sensor should be close to the vat tank and tilt mechanism interface. It can not only measure the peel force accurately and consistantly but also measure the weight of the resin in the vat tank. What do you think?

The heater problem is easy to solve, just turn it on half an hour before you start a print, you can get aquarium thermometers that stick to the vat that'll show the rein temperature

I have a GK Two, and I like it. The GK Three Ultra does appeal a lot and I was tempted when it was announced. However not sure i can justify the effort to afford one at the moment. I will see how I feel in a year or so and consider it then.

What print settings did you use?
