Those two beautiful homes could have lasted another hundred years. It's terrible what governments do to their people. As always a great presentation. Thank you.
I really hate the tunnel project. 😡 Having a car centric society destroys more than it helps. We keep building more roads, overpasses, roundabouts, etc. and it’s never enough. One day your work of documenting the demise of such beautiful homes will be highly praised and studied. Your work will also remind people of what they’ve lost and many tears will be shed. Though I experience anger, mixed with depression, every time you document another home sacrificed on the altar of ‘progress’, I won’t stop witnessing your work. Once again, thank you. ❤️

I wonder, do they intend to use the cut and cover method, or a boring machine? 🤔
Like you said it’s not the homes alone, but the fruit trees that provide food for the body and the flowers that provide beauty for our souls. Such a costly exchange made for more roads to rush people from point A to point B. Good you are documenting !👍🏻
I am so happy my mom taught us to repurpose things. Boy, would love to have that cast iron chair. Sand, repaint, fix a wooden fan back and wooden seat with cushions.
I'm glad to see you back with another nice house to explore before it is demolished with all of the other homes for the future tunnel they will be building eventually. yeah this is another awesome house to explore and show everyone what it looks like especially on the inside and it is really nice with a little bit of old and new remodeling done on it over the years and outside with the sheds on the property. the stereo that you found was a awesome find. thanks again for getting this on video before it is torn down and until next week take care and Thank You.🏚🇦🇺🏠
And... another one to dust, this house was really nice inside with things still intact, how cool was that old stereo, I hope it gets rescued. Thanks for sharing Cheers MM :)
It's sad seeing such beautiful homes destroyed. 😢 Funny to see the bathroom sink in the kitchen, I wonder if someone was planning on taking it. Might as well. 😉
Hi from Sweden , It heart to se what they are doing to this old homes . They did it Sweden in the 70 and 80 but not any more thank god or what ever .🤗🤭
They were both beautiful homes. The first one the bathroom sink was on the bench in the kitchen. It looks like the first one was owner occupied and the second one was rented out.
Oh my gosh I love this house I want it! Beautiful such a great shame they will be lost forever ♾️ not fair heritage needs to be preserved no matter what. Thank you so much for the tour. ❤😊🌟x
Love how we have the dunny separate from laundry and the hand basin cabinets. Seen other countries tell you to close the dunny seat when flushin so your tooth brush don't get "ya know" and showin the Australian dunny separate from laundry and the hand basin cabinets they give a shock response.
My husband would be ever so interested in the stereo and speakers, he has salvaged and repaired a few of them. I think there must be original wood floors under the carpet in the first 3-4 rooms. Hopefully, they will be salvaged because they can’t be replicated with old growth trees. The lovely mantles and fire boxes must be hard to salvage, but the mantles were probably preserved under the paint and the fireboxes looked untouched. We are watching similar “progress” happening in our neighborhood to the homes on one side of a major street. It is being widened to accommodate the growing population’s cars. There are only a couple of 100 year old houses, all others are from subdividing from the 1970’s to 1990’s. As far as I can determine there is Art’s and Craft bungalow and a small wood frame farmhouse, both from when our area was field after field of fruit trees. We have been here 30 years and have watched single family houses and condominiums just keep being built where the fruit orchards and small fields of corn and tomatoes once were. It’s sad watching the homes being bulldozed.
Hi Agiles 🙂 thanks for the great comments, it sounds like you have witnessed this whole process of urban renewal already and I'm sure it will continue. Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 🙂👍
The first house had that beautiful lead light, but the second outdid it with it's decore paint. Out the back you saw daisies not daffodils. What a loss to Adelaide cheers 😊 well done Paul
Why couldn’t they picked different lots near by? I don’t understand the distinction on historical homes. Seriously it’s like greed makes you completely soulless it’s really sad. What a beautiful house 😢 such attention to details and stained glass windows and much , much more! I’m glad you’re documenting these places before they are gone forever 😢 soon all would be gone 😔. I thought protection was in place for these historical homes.
The first house was my aunt’s place the record player 11:20 that he showed was my uncle’s. It was his very first record player he bought with his first paycheck. The only feature in the locked laundry of interest was the tiles which were the same as the other property.
Good morning Paul, thanks for another great video .l like the second duplex more .hopefully the record player gets saved. The stained glass doors lightens up the passage well. Cheers Deb

Really breaks one's heart. All this to cut 30 mins off a car journey. The irony is over the course of a travel reduction project like this, it incentivices more people to use their cars in the T2D, thus increasing traffic, which in turn will expand those travel times, resulting in those initial time gains being lost. Cause & effect. This states direction was lost decades ago..you squint these days both major parties look & sound the same. Lowest common denominator wins out.😢
