Opine, Silver is silver, vintage or new makes no difference, unless oneself is an ardent numismatic collector, who desires to collect something unique and also not so commonly available. Otherwise, do not stack those rather high premium and rather expensive numismatic and specially minted coins and bullion bars.

I am more a Coin Collector than a Stacker, well... what I stack is Constitutional/Junk, and graded U.S. Silver. I do have several Maple Leafs and American Silver Eagles, more than other bullion.
I just wanted to share a few things that were not brought up in this video clip:
    * Stackers/Collectors have come into a problem with older Maple Leafs, and that is Milk Spots. It may be that these coins in plastic like this do not have any Milk Spot, since they are more protected from the environment. This is a beautiful design! I have several of these Maple Leafs, I have more Graded American Silver Eagles than these. Just make sure you check the pictures well of what you are purchasing.
    * The elephant in the room...LOL! We like Queen Elizabeth better than prick King Charles! It doesn't matter to me which Queen Elizabeth I get; I have younger and older of the Queen. Just to let people know, I like both the Reverse designs on the American Silver Eagle.

Some of the Vintage is neat to own. Not so much with standard bullion, like various years Britannia, ASEs, Krugerand, Phil’s or Maples. But the different Pandas, Kookaburra, or coins that changes its design each year can be fun to collect.

I do believe the 1986 Eagles I bought, at $10 each at the time, hold a little bit more value because of the limited production. I also bought a 1986 gold eagle for $450 at the time and have since traded it For Maple leafs.

Regarding 1:20, American Gold Buffalo bullion coins used to come packaged 20 coins individually sealed as squares in plastic sheets from 2006 until 2015. The next generation of packaging had the 20 gold coins fit into a plastic tube. The earlier problem with the plastic sheets was that they could be difficult stuffing them into a small size safe deposit box. Otherwise people would cut out square sealed sections containing individual coins.

Regarding 1:00, the "Long Neck Liz" obverse of Canadian coins is officially known as the third effigy of Queen Elizabeth II which was created by Canadian sculptor Dora de Pédery‑Hunt and was used from 1990 to 2003. This third effigy was a departure for the Royal Canadian Mint which had previously used effigies of Queen Elizabeth II from the Royal Mint created by British sculptors. From 1985 through 1997, the Royal Mint used their own third effigy of Queen Elizabeth II created by British sculptor Raphael Maklouf. Coincidentally the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II created by Dora de Pédery‑Hunt very closely resembles the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II created by Raphael Maklouf.

The gift package included a $2 bill with serial number beginning with "888" in a decorative red & gold color folder with a cute black & white panda on the front. These sets were targeted towards Asian customers, because the number 8 is considered to be good luck.

Vintage gold and silver coins are numismatic since they’re more harder to find in mint state and XF grades because most of them were circulated and melted down over the years. They go up in value overtime compared to modern bullion since bullion is mostly based on the live spot price

Some vintage bullion is interesting and some will bring a premium like old Engelhard bars. Most of it is just bullion like any other. I personally dislike the design on the new silver Eagles so I haven't bought any. There's hundreds of millions of ounces that were produced before the new design so there's still plenty to pick from if I want more Eagles. The only time they end up selling for much more is low production years like 1996 for Eagles and 1997 for Maples. Thanks!

I avoid all the coins where the Queen has no crown... I don't buy any coins with the fake King Charles on them. This means now I won't complete the Perth Mint Dragon coins series... Not quite sure yet on that one. Maples are not my favorites, but I have a lot of them. I prefer pre 1933 gold.

Okay, not trying to be controversial here, but on the spot price changing. The spot price is on paper silver and gold not necessarily on tangible silver and gold. If you are selling for 30 today, and the spot price goes up tomorrow and you don't change it, you aren't "losing" money, you just aren't making more if you change it. Your profit should be based on an average cost, not current cost, right? Just like any commodity. That's one thing I hate about selling OSB board. Today it costs 8 bucks, so you buy a ton at 8, in 3 weeks it can cost 17 bucks, so of course you take your selling price up accordingly, and you make a crap ton on this side. But then in 2 months, you have sold all your 8 dollar osb, and you have had to buy at 17, so now your average cost is somewhere around 12 let's say, depending on volume. The cost price then drops to 10, and you drop your sell price also, (although a bit slower than going up on the front side) and technically you are losing your tail, but not really. You average costs are still lower than the high and the margin you made on the front side, (USUALLY), is much more then the size of the loss on the back side as it's going down.
Isn't this basically what is going on with the metals spot pricing?

I've been thinking much more recently, I enjoy buying world gold for the low premium prices, and this past year have come to realize if I sell them to a dealer even though the world gold coins are BU condition, they'll likely be scrapped for melt. Makes me think I should just buy the scruffy, scratched, VF condition gold coins rather than paying extra for BU condition. Same with pre-33 gold, if I were thinking of buying a raw AU pre-33 coin, would it actually just be better to go with the ex-jewelry grade coin for the absolute lowest cost? Because the dealer down the road will likely just melt the AU coin the same as the ex-jewelry coin?
