    Velma Review Season 2 Episode 5 where Scooby Doo's Velma is finally subject to justice. Being held accountable for her actions isn't Velma's strong point, but after 2 seasons, I can't see who would think this was a mistake. Unfortunately this episode of Velma wasn't the season finale, but we'll always have the great memories. But what did you think of what you saw? Let me know your thoughs down below and as always, thanks for watching :)

      I guess, though, it has been implied to be where they came from in stuff set after A Pup Named Scooby Doo (I looked it up to confirm). At least one episode of What's New Scooby Doo and two direct to DVD movies either feature or reference Coolsville. But its still not that prominent. Admittedly, though, its more prominent than Crystal Cove which was specifically a Mystery Inc thing.
      However, its not true that "most SD shows" are set in Coolsville. It debuted in A Pup Named Scooby Doo and that's the only show actually set there. Coolsville appeared a few times after that and was quite prominent in the comics, but the gang are largely nomadic in every series and are constantly traveling around. Very few shows are set in one location (each individual movie is typically set in one location but that's not the same thing).

      I truly don't want to be one of those 'actually' people, but... There's something many don't realise about the 'pilgrims'/ 'puritans' - that their public lives =/= their bedroom lives; there were certain early beliefs held, that required both male & female orgasms for procreation- this was before the Enlightenment.
      It was very briefly mentioned in a documentary series, *Super-sizers: The Restoration*

    • @user-cz9jj2em2v
      @user-cz9jj2em2v Месяц назад +6

      @@OcarinaSapphr- What I mean is that the author clearly thinks Pilgrims became misogynistic incels - which as a matter of fact is arguably it's own fallacy. But as I said, the average pilgrim married young, with both parties typically having no prior sexual experience. This meant that neither husband or wife would have had much in the way of "comparison is the thief of joy" going on. Combine that with the fact that culture rarely depicted sex, and I would guess they were much less sexually frustrated than modern people. Again, Witch burning had nothing to do with misogyny - just as Werewolf trials had nothing to do with misandry.
      Pre industrial cultures really didn't have the mindset of modern misogyny or feminism. It is apples to oranges

    Jordin Peele is the most overrated name in horror today, with 'Get Out' being a key example.
    Everyone acts like it's so "Original" and "Groundbreaking," but when I saw it, its whole brain- swapping plot twist immediately called to mind 'Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein' (A movie which actually WAS original and groundbreaking, as it pretty much single- handedly birthed the horror- comedy subgenre).
    When a movie's big plot twist is something that was PARODIED in a film that came out almost SEVENTY YEARS EARLIER, that's not a good sign.

    Alright, im gonna go out on a VERY long limb here as far as the 'removing your brain lets you know your real self' bit.
    Given the show's attacks on religion, I'd wager a lot of the writers consider themselves 'spiritual' or in the category of eastern religions. Budhists and the like. (Not saying they are good at it, but saying they claim to be so.)
    Given that, I'd guess that the brain removal bs was supposed to be a joke/commentary or some such on the idea of reaching 'enlightenment' (your 'real' self) by giving up worldly attachments (being removed from your body).
    I know I might have put way more thought in that then the writers did, but i needed to pause and exercise my brain to make up the pain im putting it through with this show.
