Velma Review of Season 2 Episode 6, Mindy Kaling out did herself with this episode. Featuring Velma setting off a nuclear missile and almost destroying earth. We almost found the solution for Velma. Combine that with daphne being turned into a brain and being kidnapped by cockroaches. Alongside Norville getting a bit too close to his grandma. 4. Gigi - stood up to Velma a couple of times.
3. Olive - verbally castigated Velma and said mental health was no joke.
2. Killer from season 2 - don't want to spoil, but is the best moment.
1. Fred - is the best character despite the writers, and starts Mystry Inc., and does the most investigation.
My personal number 2 is the angry mob that almost burnt Velma at the stake. If they went through with it, they'd be my number 1 forever.

I don't see what you mean about Velma's dim future prospect.
She's a blatant self-insert. So Velma will be given a TV show that's a remake of a beloved IP that's been around for 60 years to use as a platform for her resentment, self-loathing and undeserved opportunity.

Given the selfish bent of this show, I can't imagine the message is that we should try to generate wealth so our children can believe in their dreams... so it must mean that the poors should aspire to stay that way because that's the only possible option. I just realized in the previous episode, the shotgun that Fred's Dad was using made the sound of someone sliding the pump/cocking the weapon. This shouldn't be possible concidering it's a double-barreled break-action

@thePsiMatrix I've not watched the whole show, only these types of reviews - my love of the real cartoon prevents me from performing such sacrilege - and even that much was enough to rot my brain enough to not notice that detail, lol. The whole thing is a gourmet idiot sandwich.

Velma season 2 keep jumping the shark every episode to the point that its hard to keep track how many times it jump the shark
With respect, jumping the shark requires the show to have been good at some point.

I can list a few. Velma has super strength. Broke a wall. Survives car hits. Never is used anywhere else. These magic brain tubes that ripped off Futurama. The inventor has solved death, etc. They would be trillionaires. Whole plot of season 1 didn't even need to happen. Grow an original human body. And stick Velma in it.

Not really. It was obvious from the get go that this was a poorly written show which wouldn't have received a fraction of the attention it has unless it had a Scooby/Mystery Inc. label slapped on it. You could rename and redesign all the characters and Scooby's reputation would have dodged this bullet.

For anybody curious about the bear comment, i believe he's referencing a clip where a bunch of different women (i think it mught have been in New York but it might have been a different liberal city) were asked if they'd rather be stuck on an island with a random man or a bear. The samples kept choosing the bear (us city people really shouldn't be thinking we'd be fine around a wild bear but progressives dont think that far).
Oh, specifically an island? I had vaguely heard references to that and I assumed they meant just in the wilderness somewhere. Which, to be fair, would depend on the bear, but around here we only get black bears and they generally mind their own business, so picking a bear just means you prefer respectfully viewing wildlife over conversation with strangers. An island though... I mean, I'd still want more information as to the size of the island and type of bear and disposition of the man before making a choice. Too small an island and everyone's eventually on the menu no matter who you pick.
Honestly without context, the Daphne brain and roach scene, freaking horrifying. Best scene of the whole series. Actually evoked some emotion for the first time. Love the review. Gold as always.
And then they kill it at the end. Wtf.
This show is proof that the investment isn't worth it. It will make you feel like crap for society, then give you a glimmer of hope before removing the curtain yet again. They who cried a wolf, an I right folks?

When I first watched Scooby-Doo back in the 70s I acknowledged that Daphne was 'the hot one' but Velma was the cute nerd. Brain-in-jar Daphne isn't attractive.

I think you have drastically underestimated the effectiveness of having Velma recruit for the military. 5 seconds in the same room with her will make anyone BEG to go overseas with the hope of dying to get away from her.
