Bec ,You can use the Blue Roof Paint Chris mixed up , to paint the wheel on your Cold Water Tap. That way Chris will be able to say it was his contribution to the Kitchen . Rather than he just Snapping the Worktop into two ! ! 😊

Again everything done with a laugh and a smile. Beccs the tap is brilliant, I absolutely love that industrial look, you never cease to amaze me girl. Chris you’re colour match was pretty bloody good, now all you have to do is sand back the rest of the roof and get painting. LOL, hell what a thought. Congratulation on episode 100, wow time goes so fast, I was late coming on but I did go back and watch what I’d missed, can’t wait for 200 to see where you’re at. I feel I probably needed a bit of red in the paint, but will be painting the whole boat in the next years anyway, I can't believe its number 100....thats 2 years nearly off all this nonsense....but hopefully things will start to pick up, hopefully buy 200 we will have started cruising haha stay safe Pauline see you in the next one

Colour matches are tricky. Adding black only works when the black paint is actually a dark red--which a lot of it is. An actual carbon black would not have worked as well. You will need to get a red touch-up some day it you're planning on keeping the red bits, so you will have yet another chance to colour match. Exposure to the sun may make your paint patches more obvious in time.
The taps look marvellous. Well done!
yes I think red would be a bit better now come to think of it, we will be painting the boat a whole different colour in the next years so until then were going to have to be the whistling patch work wombat , thanks Peter

And should you wish to patch more of the Wombat, a bit of red added to your dark blue will tint it purplish.

The paint work on Crobot is weathered as your brand new paint isn't so maybe getting a colour match will be harder to get, just a guess though. Love the industrial taps.

Well done, looks good. Both of you. I've never tried copper pipe work. Considered it when I was building my wee S.H.Annie van. But in New Zealand it was going to be more expensive and I couldn't source all the bits. Found a wee RV single swivel tap (I only have cold water) at a very good sell out price so went with that. Cheaper than even second hand taps. Crazy world!

On your gate tap compression fittings it would have be correct to smear some plumbers compound since the metal is not precisely engineered.

With regards to the colour match, why didn’t you take some of the broken bits with the colour on to B&Q. The can scan it and colour match it to within 97% of the original colour (I think). Great vlog
I had taken a few of the broken bits to a scan painters but the sample pot they gave us qas matt and didn't even look the right shad, maybe it was a bad experience but it didn't give us much hope, woaw an etsy store would definitely help bring some funds in thanks for the confidence 😀

I would say you need one way valves just before the gate valves to stop cross feeding from hot to cold or cold to hot

Nice tap but I'm not sure gate valves will be durable enough, they can be a bit drippy. Isolation valves with lever handles might be better though perhaps not the right aesthetic.

I think I would have gone for the lever type valves and not the wheel type. Just easier to turn the taps on and off.

I thought that you could get some sort of gizmo that made it possible to take said pipe fittings apart.

Strange! You have spent the last year or so to stop leaks all over your boat. With quite a good progress.
This time you mount a thing that is suppost to leak a little bit now and then.

She's mad isn't she.. I can't quite understand the logic, we have purposely added a device that brings water on to the boat, absolute lunacy
Nice tap but a lot of water will stay in the pipes and may still drip a lot when turned off . Good colour match on the roof but a tad too much black , paint changes colour over time with weathering etc so may look better with time . by then you may paint the whole roof anyway . They call me Mr. pedantic or Mr. picky :-)
oh thats interesting thanks for your advice, yeah the collar match still needs some work, but were going to paint the whole thing in the summer so it just a temporary fix Mr picky
hope the 22mm copper pipe isnt to big for flow rate and paint one tap blue for cold think Chris is about to do a full repaint and not leave the boat looking like a patchwork quilt or is chris colour blind 🤔
