    There is an error in the encounter table for Route 6 Sword.
    Here are the correct encounter rates:
    Duskull 10.89%
    Hippopotas 13.01%
    Heatmor 14.63%
    Also instead of Scraggy it is Croagunk in Galar Mine 2 in Shield version!
    Thank you JFlash727 for bringing this to my attention :))

    Thanks a ton! With gen 9 most recent trailer confirming picnic/sandwiches, figured I get every eligible pokemon in sword/shield with curry mark since it likely will not return due to the lack of curry next gen. Hopefully at least 1 of them will be shiny along the way.

    With a pro controller, to fan quickly: press both A and the right arrow on the d pad. Both of these buttons trigger the fanning motion, and if you press both buttons (alternating which button is pressed next, so like a, left, a, left) as fast as you can, it is as efficient as the joycon method if not even more so, and there is less risk of hurting yourself :)

    I feel this should be done with the disclaimer of only really consider doing curry hunts in post game, you really just don't have the resources beforehand, for what you're trying to achieve. I reccomend getting the dlc if you're even thinking of doing a hunt like this, all of the little things it provides are quite nice for this, most notably the ability to farm high quality ingredients daily, for free.(once you unlock it, I think, but not hard, if you do need to.) And the additional ingredient trader helps. The berry trees in crown tundra also go pretty crazy if memory serves.

    • @HayzelNoot
      @HayzelNoot  2 года назад +1

      At 00:42 I talk about how it is recommended to have completed the game.
      Throughout the setup part of the video, I also talk about different options on how you can obtain berries and ingredients without needing to have completed the game.
      Not everyone has the DLC which is why I didn't go too much into it and it isn't really needed as everthing you do need can easily be found in the main game.

  • @dillonsng7310
    @dillonsng7310 2 года назад +1

    i have a couple questions, since i do want to try one such hunt
    1) for the pokemon u select for ur party, do their friendship matter? i watched a video about curry hunting quite awhile back and i recall there being something said regarding this
    2) since it seems like the more pokemon in ur party the better, why are u only using 2? is 6 not the best, or is there some sweet spot going on here? ( if u have 6 in ur party does it mean pokemon cannot join ur party halfway?
    3) it seems like u need to cook a certain number of curries each time, but does it reset each time u camp and each time u keep camp? so each soft reset will be cooking the 12 curries to reach sociability, and then afterwards spamming curries till u are out of berries then resetting?
    4) if we have all 3 pokeball types in our bag, how will the game select which one the pokemon is captured in?
    will add on if i have any more questions, sorry for being a bother, thanks!

    • @HayzelNoot
      @HayzelNoot  2 года назад +1

      1) Only sociability matters, refer to Sociability Requirement 11:38
      2) I use 2 just as personal preference. You can have as many Pokémon in your party as you want :))
      3) Save the game after you have made enough curry that satisfies the sociability requirement, so once you run out of ingredients when you start getting encounters, you don't have to waste your time making curry by reaching the sociability requirement after each soft reset.
      4) Th e game will always choose Poke Balls first, then Great, then Ultra. If you want it in a certain type, I would suggest to only have that type of Poke Ball in your bag.
      Hope this helps :))

      @@HayzelNoot so i dont need an empty party slot to get it? and once there is sociability in a party even when u break up the camp it doesnt reset? what would reset sociability then?

    • @HayzelNoot
      @HayzelNoot  2 года назад +1

      You do not need an empty party slot. Sociability does not reset unless you didn't save. Putting your party into the computer does not reset sociability. The only thing that decreases sociability is if your Pokemon are fighting each other in camp which you usually don't have to worry about.

    There is a thing for boosting shiny encounters by defeating 400 (max) of that species, I have no idea if this would affect curry hunts.
    I get that its a different activity, but unless I'm missing something - its a lot of work just for an encounter when you can encounter more in the grass without the shiny charm boost.

    • @HayzelNoot
      @HayzelNoot  2 года назад +1

      The odds cannot be increased with curry hunting. The method you are referring to only applies to brilliant aura Pokemon.

    I have a question! I'm sure it was answered in the video I'm just not very attentive lol- if I were to camp with my brother and make curry and we got Charizard class would that count toward an encounter rate or whatever? hope that made sense lmao I'm not very good at explaining-
    imma show my brother this as soon as he gets home from school! we love to shiny hunt together- also I had no idea this existed! I've always have had a Noivern on my team so no wonder lol- anyways awesome video this helps so much :]

    • @HayzelNoot
      @HayzelNoot  2 года назад

      Unfortunately you won't be able to hunt with your brother because the only places you can do multiplayer camp is in the Wild Area and DLC's and Curry Pokemon do not spawn in those places.
      Your Noivern also won't stop the Pokemon from spawning, it just won't allow you to encounter th curry Pokemon sometimes when the glitch happens.
      I count both the amount of curries I make and however many Pokemon show up in my Camp.
      Hope this helps and good luck to you and your brother :))

    question: would using a controller with a turbo function eliminate the need to use joycons, as the controller can "press" the a button as fast as the console can process it, or would that not work due to needing to turn turbo off mid curry?

    • @HayzelNoot
      @HayzelNoot  2 года назад

      I do not have any experience myself with this but I have heard other hunters using turbo controllers for this.

    How many of the class below charizard would it take for 2 pokemon to get to max friendship?

  • @sessabunny
    @sessabunny 2 года назад +1

    What exactly is the glitch with the various flying pokémon and losing your encounter? I started a knockoff nuzlock using only curry encounters instead of normal catches about a week ago and I've been doing my most recent hunt with a noivern in my party. This might explain why I haven't found my current encounter after 10 currys!

    • @HayzelNoot
      @HayzelNoot  2 года назад +1

      The curry Pokemon will still show, however, when you try to encounter it, the problem Pokemon will be encountered instead and it will duplicate and have a curry mark iirk.

    Lovely tutorial! Question, how do you get the different fans? Ive seen different colors and I love collecting stuff

    • @HayzelNoot
      @HayzelNoot  2 года назад +2

      Your fan colour is determined by what colour you have set for your tent. You can change it by going to the camping king to the left of the stairs when you fly to south of Motostoke in the Wild Area :))
