I don't think we will ever get tired of looking at that amazing Avenger's tower. With all the update videos, its still stuns me on how much detail is in there.
@@BevinsBricksWorld You strike me very much as a handy man so I’m not surprised that you know how to properly handle wires. You built your own LEGO barn for goodness sake.
Hey Buddy, how the heck are you doing ? :) thanks so much for the awesome compliment. I always considered myself a jack of all trades. As to me with anything. I love to solve puzzles and thats what building and fixing things is to me. Just solving good puzzles :)
Awesome, I’ll be coming back to these videos when I get some light kits! My city is basically all Ninjago city type modulars and I know it’s gonna be a nightmare already 😂
Great tips, would mind 1 hour long video...😎 Could you share some tips in future video regarding powering LED lights? I'm not an electrician don't have any measuring equipment and I ran in some issues. When my city grow, I have to add more and more USB Hubs and more USB power chargers. I now use few 3A USB chargers with 2 port's for around 6 sets, just to be safe. Don't really know how much sets, with lights, can I hook up on one of those USB charger, as with bigger USB hub with up tp 8 ports, I already ran in some issues, lights starts to fade or flicker, if I use all of them, so I rather use more USB chargers and don't use all ports on usb splitter/hub
Yeah the number of ports isnt what you wqnt to look at. The amps is what you want to watch for. On average though I want to say roughly 50 leds would be 1 amp. Thats not in stone just a general guide. If you use a bar light there are typically 3 leds on the 1 bar.
I realize you posted this a a while ago. You mentioned in the video you are using some premade wire kits. I have been testing different brands. Brixsmax and Game of Bricks use the same connector. I noticed something some similar connections under your table. What connectors do you use? how do you integrate the wires from the kits? I have built on mils plats and I would like to wire my existing wired sets together. any thoughts?
I make a ton of different videos on lighting that might be beneficial for you to watch. The plugs that I use are the 1.25 mm bi pin plugs and some sets use the 8mm plugs. But you can also solder two different plugins together to make an adapter to use both. The two Brands I prefer using are Blinky Bricks and Brick Loot as they both sell plug and play lights for your custom needs.
Very cool info Daryl. Dont know if i like the new intro... I guess since I've been watching your channel for so many years. I got used to the original.
@@BevinsBricksWorld awwww man no way your intro was/is great just how it is... shows some of your builds and i got really used to that music too. But just my opinion great either way bro.
thanks for the tips, just wondering weather theres a way to make the light turn on evey so and then and then turn off a bit later , maybe even different lights turning on at diffeerent pats of the night part of the day/night cycle)
Question, could you use a dremmel tool to drill a small hole in the lego you are attaching the light to and then run the wire through the small hole and just press it to the lego board in question?
Perfect timing!! I was hoping you would be doing this video!! I am just finishing up my bookshelf MOC for my daughter and ready to install the Brick Loot lighting i procured on your recommendation! Can’t wait to see the expression on my daughter’s face when I present it to her!!
What a warmth of charm lighting adds! It's as if a whole other dimension of LEGO, a richly rewarding one, is hidden from the average off-the-shelf consumer. You're the ideal instructor to teach the world all this. Also, a shorter intro is generally a smarter intro, so... well chosen.
These are awesome tips. Thanks so much for sharing. What you did on the Steve Rogers floor is very clever. I need a way to light up a modular and be able to easily take it off the table (out of the city) and maybe separate the floors so a kid can play with it and then put it back on. Any tips on connections?
Lelightgo I believe makes a connector specifically designed to do just that. lelightgo.com/collections/lighting-accessories/products/lelightgo-diy-wireless-power-connector
I appreciate these tips as I've been dealing with issues hiding and running wires...fun process, but can be a struggle at times!
Yes it can be, I understand the struggles :)
Great information as always from you Daryl, and good to see your tricks on how to hide the wires.
Thanks buddy, ill be making more videos also soon on other things that can be done
@@BevinsBricksWorld sounds like a winner Daryl.

Thanks for the info! I'll be waiting here for the next 50 minutes of lighting tutorials
Got to get you over to mils too !
Someone's quickly becoming a lighting pro, eh? :D Someday I hope to do a bunch of lighting too, and tips like this are going to be incredibly helpful!
Lol yeah learning a lot fast. Plus still designing some of my own preferred lighting in the process

@@BevinsBricksWorldThatsnawesome! I’m doing pretty good. I’m getting ready to go to Brickfair mostly.
Glad to hear it, I need take some builds to a show at some point.
The wire adds to the look in the hall of armor. Looks great
Thanks
This is really great advice, thank you !
The tip on not crimping the wire through the MILS plate is extremely useful.
Glad you found it useful :)

I wouldnt think it would be too bad honestly. But with any light kids there is a lot of disassembly and reassembly.
This is great! Thank you!
Thanks for watching
Love the tips and tricks
Thanks buddy
Just get some 24 gauge BX MC cable! LOL. LOVE The vid!
Lol, may be a bit to large but like your thinking
You can always go around
Enjoy the lighting videos since I am lighting my city

Where did you get that red and black wire you use under your base plates? I can't find it on any of the stores you recommend.

Yes you can just all depends how much money you are willing to spend on controls.
@@BevinsBricksWorld ok , how would you do it , smart plugs?

Absolutely I don't see why not if you don't mind drilling into your Lego

What size gauge wire is that? I’m in the process of custom wiring my entire city
32
@@BevinsBricksWorld cool thanks! Super thin gauge. Is it stranded wire or solid? I believe stranded.

You should bring the tower to Lego event's. It would be the star attraction.
I would like to at some point.
