The biggest plot twist was learning both Vander and Silco were friends with their mom. Now their attitude towards Vi and Jinx hit different. I fucking cried, man.......
Well, it was alluded to that Vander, at the very least, knew their mother. Because in episode 1 when Vi and Powder stumble across him on that bridge and start frantically looking around, Vander solemnly motions toward their dead mother a few feet away. They probably knew him too, especially since he knew their mom. But Silco? That's another story.
I'm not sure if there's some sort of retcon for the relationship between the three or they just haven't thought of it in such detail while writing season 1, but now knowing that the three of them were this close, it makes less sense that Silco tried to kill Vi and Powder at all. Even if what I assumed happened from the subtext and tidbits, like how Vander was hinting at how he blamed Silco for Felicia's death on the bridge. and tried to kill him for it afterwards, it doesn't make sense for Silco to now hate the kids. He promised to help raise them, and even if he now hates Vander, he should've still always have a sense of responsibility for the sisters. We'll see if we get more clues in the next episodes.
@@arthurchen6464 he wasn't going to kill vi and powder because he wanted to, he would have had to in order to erase his legacy and seize complete control over the underground. Also i might be misinterpreting it but i think that their promise was to make the nation of zaun for the children to live in, not to actually take care of the children.
Seeing the past of Vander and Silco was such a refreshing and wonderful addition I feel, their bonds and relationship with Vi and Jinx's mom just felt so human and real, a group of folks who dream and just wade through the tough times. I love how the flashback scene somewhat mirrors Jinx, Vi and Isha at that moment, with Jinx adoring Isha and her antics as Vi just follows casually and watches them both. Like how Vander admired their mom as she danced while Silco just observed them both from the side.
That metal jaw guy continuously getting owned and his jaw destroyed by Vi ever since she was a child is absolutely hilarious. Arcane‘s very own Cabbage Man😂
I love seeing the past of Vander and Silco. Their bonds and relationships with Jinx and Vi's mom felt so real. And it really made the way they both raised Jinx hit different.
Mel glowed both at the end of last season and the beginning of this one when the counsel was attacked. And despite being the closest to Jinx's bomb, she was the only one who was completely unharmed. So many people missed the many hints of her magical abilities. Mel's magical abilities have been foreshadowed frequently since last season. Even in her flashback.
I think Mel’s powers is why she survived the Jinx attack because Jayce was wondering how he survived when Viktor was so close to him to maybe Mel’s powers shielded both of them from the attack
35:30 Actually a neat little detail from S2E1, if you go back to when Salo, Mel, Cait and the other Council was just finishing their short 'meeting' and then rain falls down. The cam turned into a shot form the top overlooking the ruins of the council room. Pay close attention on the dirty spots, the floor where dusts, debris, and soot are all around you'll notice a big circle part where it actually clean. That was Mel's seat, that was what golden glow from S1E9 end, that was what saved her and Jayce
Yeah I noticed that it seemed that Mel’s attire seemed to glow as the rocket approached in S1E9. I always thought that possibly that her wardrobe possibly had some special protection properties. When I saw that her and Jayce were completely unharmed at point blank range of the blast, I knew that she had to have something protecting her.
It's also interesting how Viktor 100% was in that circle, but was still blown up. Possibly the shimmer/hexcore stuff already in his system clashing with Mel's magic

35:45 Hey guys, loving the reaction to this series! Just wanted to provide a bit of insight for Mel. She seems to have Solari blood in here which is backed by all the gold markings, and if you rewatch the final scene of the first season you can see her powers kind of activating for self defense without her knowledge. This is later backed by Jayce when he wonders how Viktor who was standing with him took so much damage, yet he sustained none at all. I’m sure you see later on, but i believe this will be where the next series starts as we head into Noxus, this being evident with the three eyed crow on the last episode. This is introducing Swain into the mix. On to the next episode! :D
Can't wait to see you two react to episode 6, this show is Game of Thrones good, seriously its surpassed fallout, penguin, and anything else I've seen this year...
"This is going to be a heart breaking season" This show will be what Game of Thrones should have been. Bittersweet. I imagine we will all fee like Frodo at the end of LoTR after this show. Things happen to us in life that can leave wounds that never heal. Wholes that can never be filled. Things we never fully get over, but accept it to be apart of us now. It's part of the reason we all connect and resonate so well with these characters I think. We didn't go through exactly what these characters went through, but there are parallels in the story that we can relate to our own life and struggles.

"He's not going to go after Viktor, is he?" Aged so so poorly 🤣🤣
This has been Vi's best look. I hope she keeps it.
Jayce Crashing out has to be my fav part of this season, bro got sucked into the arcane and saw some shit, bro is on a mission 😭
DAMN YOU GUYS ARE DROPPIN DROPPING LFG!
Is it just me or did they mix the voices of jinx and vi to make their mom’s voice? If so? Fucking bravo.
Jinx said " Bucky is alive" 😂
Damn you got these up quick
"Oh look their family is reunited, surely nothing bad is gonna happen in the next episodes"
Vi took the break up pretty well. Jayce - "Stop, Hammertime."
That poor guy who keeps getting knocked out by Violet 😂. He's like the ship Captain from God of War. Or the Cabbage salesman from Avatar 😂
Episode 6 is killing me guys 💔..
I'm still hurting I need to see others hurt too
So jinx is silco's child ?
Can't wait to see you two react to episode 6, this show is Game of Thrones good, seriously its surpassed fallout, penguin, and anything else I've seen this year...
SPOILERS:So we got confirmation of two fan theories: That Vander is Warwick and Singed is Orianna`s dad Dr. Corin Reveck in this continuity.
Jayce is a Soul Calibur character now
Vander, the Hound of the Underground. Teased Episode 1 of Season 1.
The daughter's actually dead. That's why he said that when asked what was the cure for
no she ain't dying, she's straight up dead, singed is literally just him, his goal is to cure death I fckn love this character holly shiiiiii-!! 💀💀💀💀💀
The message must be that everyone changed but inside they are still them.
They already hinted at the end of season one that Mel had powers
Her back glowed before the rocket hit them
"I don't know anything about kids, I get sweaty being alone with one"
Damn this series is just great
Well remember Vander isn't Vi and Jinx biological father. He's just their adoptive father.
Is no one gonna talk about the fact, they essentially left Heimerdinger and Ekko in that thing?
GLORIOUS EVOLUTION!!!
I think its the first time i ever seen John cry and not greg 🙂
PIT FIGHTER/BRAWLER VIIIII SHE'S SO JACKED
I know multiple people who jad very entertaining reactions to pit fighter Vi.
Hurry up with episode 6 pls
"This is going to be a heart breaking season"
This show will be what Game of Thrones should have been.
They don't have shimmer anymore, all the chembarons got busted or offed in the first act.
