*“This world is a wasteland, please let me go”,* in the beginning it’s a song about suicide, but with the end HEAVILY implying that Jinx survived and escaped, it’s about how she’s done with everything in Zaun and Piltover and just wants to leave to start a new life.
agree 100%; thats how I feel too, I think she just wanted to leave; to leave her old life and everything behind and start anew; with no more ties to Piltover and Zaun or Vi and everyone else. I think she really wanted Vi as well especially to not feel any more ties to her and need to save her or constantly reach for her; she wants Vi to have her own life as well as everyone else such as Ekko, who was probably the only person who could talk to her and reach out to her in the best way at that pivotal moment
@@anitaremenarova6662 I figure she'll explore the world a bit, make some Jinx caves to crash at, and then something will bring her back from time to time.
I find it beautiful that victor and Jayce’s relationship is such a major source of everything. Even from the beginning of their lives they were always intertwined which was represented by the white butterfly. They’re the start and end while also being tragedies on their own in every life. Either victor succeeds in his Glorious Evolution or dies from his chronic illness without discovering hextech. Jayce either fails stopping Victor or he commits suicide because victor never went to him (or banished, arrested, etc. since a child was a casualty and that could’ve made victor lose any respect he might’ve had for him to even want to go to him). I think this timeline is the happiest timeline for them since they either died or travelled somewhere together knowing they’ll always be partners
Seeing Vi zone out and cry over Vander’s body… Jinx finally gets how much pain Vi was in. “You can’t save him.” And Vi still doesn’t respond. And then we get the shot of Vander’s bleeding head from Vi’s perspective that night! We, the audience were on the left, but now we see from Vi’s POV on the right. Jinx finally understands how Vi is not as invincible as she thought. She knows now Vi didn’t consciously choose to slap her that night, she was mentally overwhelmed with the pain of losing Vander. That reframing of the events that night is just gorgeous!
In the very first episode of the show, Powder saw a blimp and said "One day, I'm gonna ride one of those things." I strongly believe she's still alive. That last shot is there for a reason.
Also slo-mo the moment before the exlosion, you see a straight line of pink, very reminiscent of Jinx's super speed. She's alive, but to Piltover and Vi's story, she's dead, she had to break the cycle and leave.
@@Frandahabif shes walking away why do they have any interactions at all in the game? @@Frandahab Also when Cait is looking at the Hex Gate schematics its focuses on the vents while she is holding Jinx bomb and she slightly smiles. Yea Jinx is alive 100 percent.
Jinx was falling from a height, high enough to kill a person. Being held tightly by a monster who's hand wraps around her waist and then let off a grenade. If she is not dead it is one of the most bullshit cop outs ever. So fuck you for killing her (The writers not you) But also fuck you if you don't have the balls to commit to it
@@Thebeezzkneezz. the game itself is non-canon, has been for a very long time. Also to your point, Ekko has an interaction with Jinx in-game that says " I had a crush once... Then she started talking to a gun".
Jinx is definitely alive, cait noticed those vents for a reason- and you can see a flash of a glitchy pink line quickly exit the explosion before it goes off… she’s alive!!!!!
I think our jinx is alive too, but i think our alt dimension powder might be LOL jinx She seemed sinister at the end of episode 7 of with those hextech peices Why else would cait and vi still trying to kill her if shes walking away from that life Echo "i had a crush until you started talking to the gun" he definitely had a crush on alt powder

"The world is a wasteland, please let me go." That was heartbreaking, the whole scene makes me tear up every time. I'm glad Jinx was able to save Vi and found peace.
Vander putting little Powder and Violet to sleep hit me hard especially, because to next see that Jinx would sacrifice herself to save her sister and finally put her suffering father to rest made me tear up. 😢
“There is no prize to perfection, only an end to pursuit” That moment when present Viktor behind Jayce saw his future self was so powerful, I got absolute chills. It all comes full circle
If you looked at the scene where jinx sacrificed herself, you can actually see a quick frame of her dashing away (its a purple line where she shimmered away) before the bomb exploded. When cait was reviewing the architecture of the building, she smirked and realized jinx is alive
Considering Powder said in the first episode that she always wanted to ride a blimp, I see that she has accomplished that with the end shot. Love how ambiguous Jayce, Viktor, Heimerdinger and Powder's death are. Can't wait to see more from this world in the future 10/10 show and one of the most rewatchable shows out there. I will miss this set of characters and most of all poor Ekko, the boy saviour .
Something I'm curious about is how the hell Arcane can be canon. Because we have confirmation that Arcane is taking precedence over previous established lore. And while Jinx's is almost certainly alive, and Jayce's and Viktor's are ambiguous (magic stuff) + Heimerdinger (Yordle stuff), Ambessa is just straight up dead, and Caitlyn has lost an eye that she has in LoL. I guess it could make sense by straight up decanonising LoL entirely, and having Arcane be the new frontrunner, but that seems like an odd decision.
@@kaijukyru only if it fids i rather find out jinx is truly death than that the shove her into other series in a desperate and not needed way to create hype
@@owenchafer1083 they say arcane is canon to lure show watchers towards the game. when the story was written it wasn´t canon i highly doubt that the writers knew the make Ambessa a champion. only through its popularity did arcane become canon i can even believe that in the original story the didn`t leave the fate of the champions
From mage Viktor's monologue, we can infer that no matter what he does, he was always going to tap into the Arcane and achieve singularity, bringing convergence to the world in the great catastrophe where humanity is lost to this hollow "perfection". So throughout time and perhaps parallel universes, he's tried everything to stop himself from making the same mistake, and the only one he has found who could show his younger self the errors of his ways and snap him out of it, WAS JAYCE. In the end, their trust and affection for each other was the only way that breaks the cycle. That's why he appeared to young Jayce to set everything in motion, to save the world from himself.
In S01E01 around 05:22, Powder says "One day I'm gonna ride in one of those things", as a blimp passes overhead paralleling how the show ends with the same shot. We also see a shimmer streak moving away towards the top right of the screen just before the explosion goes off, suggesting Jinx cheated death so Vi would move on and she wants to walk away to end the cycle like Silco says in S02E08 - 21:30, as we also see Cait is looking at the blueprint of the vents while holding her monkey bomb fragment, indicating the same.
I agree. We see a lone slightly damaged airship sailing off into the distance at the end, followed immediately by a quick neon graffiti Jinx flash. Sorry, this show doesn't have things like that without good reason. She's alive. She's going on a road trip. :)
Viktor's arc reminds me of Infinity Ultron in What If. Relentlessly seeking "peace" across spacetime, unity in the form of a singular hivemind, only for it to end in haunting nothing that leaves them hollow and dissatisfied.
Ekko is the coolest mfer. Has two of my favorite moments in the entire series. First was when he and Jinx fought in the first season and the second is what he does at the end of this episode.
I feel like there's a lot of meta commentary in act 3...the words to Heimerdinger's song, Jayce's speech to Viktor about beauty in imperfections...you can find flaws in Arcane, but the experience is besutiful. All artists struggle to finish a work of art, trying to perfect it, but eventually they have to let it over to the masses and trust that the beauty is conveyed.
I believe Jinx is alive. If you slow down the explosion and look at the top right, there is a pink streak moving quickly out of frame. Plus, Caitlyn is later seen looking at the hexgate schematics and sees air vents that lead outside the building close to where Jinx was when she fell. Then the show ends with a zeppelin flying off, which could reference when powder said she wanted to fly in one of those one day in the first episode of the entire series (plus I can't think of anyone else that would be leaving bc it seems kind of out of character for any of the other characters to leave Piltover rn). And then the Jinx style end credit as well. I truly believe she took Silco's advice and left the cycle and left Vi believing she is dead so Vi can truly be with Caitlyn without having to worry about her.
that’s a helpful perspective. in another video, people criticized Jinx’s death as cheap and her running away from responsibility for her actions. technically Jayce and Viktor both escaped responsibility. it is better overall for Vi and perhaps Piltover and Zaun to not chaotically debate Jinx’s punishment. if I was a chaotic rebel leader, I wouldn’t trust the former military dictatorship to treat me well. also, Arcane universe has much more for repair to be done and this can’t capture it. for all the radical hope they provided, I don’t exactly fault them for not trying to see post-post-apocalypse. Jayce and Viktor’s last arc was like one if the most beautiful hopeful existential scenes a la Everything Everywhere All At Once or Her or Eternal Sunshine.

I saw someone on Twitter complaining that Viktor was so different from the beginning of the show to the end, that he would NEVER say choice is false. And I’m like, that’s the point of his story arc?
"I well help you accomplish your dream... - OUR DREAM" --> "There is ALWAYS a choice" --> *dies* in quotations --> "I now see the world more...lucid than ever before" --> "Choice is False" --> "Once i solved all equations, the world was just a dreamless husk" --> "I was wrong, and only you can show me this" How can people miss that character arc's glorious evolution. I feel like haters with the loud complaints are usually the people who are the most ignorance. but i guess that's the theme of the last month in real life -.-
The problem is that he jumped straight from a utopia valuing humanity to "erase everyone's identities" without any intermediate. It would have worked with a couple extra episodes.
Before this show, most people who played the game never really thought of the name 'League of Legends' as a reference to characters who lived in a world and made a name for themselves. They regarded it as a multiplayer game with tons of champions. A Legend is created when you have become famous or infamous enough to be remembered for some significant event many many years after you've already disappeared from the world, but are remembered through stories of heroism or impact. I love how they conceptualized character designs and formed an over-arching story to give them a reason to be called Legends. It made the significance of the game name manifest.
Ekko is the goat of this show imo such a good arc to his character and him getting the clock hand swords was fire asf. Also Jayce and viktor conversation was more romantic than a kiss lmaooo
@@4noctua6 ummm.....if you paid attention to the show you know when she shimmers (moves extremely fast) shows blue lightning...did you not see the explosion at the end? blue lightning....good lord....she lived....she shimmered.
It is still so wild that this show had such a good story, but it was set in the youngest region in Runeterra. When Riot start doing projects in the other regions, things will be crazy.
In a grand scheme of things, yes, but I mostly enjoyed Arcane because of how Human the show was. Big focus on relationships, how characters play off of each other in the setting. I don't care what region they focus next, as long as they keep the quality high!
Love it but feels like there’s still more stories needing to explore with how things were left! Wish they gave one or two more episodes to let some things breathe more but still happy with the series as a whole. Love these characters, story and animation!!As many have commented I like to believe Jinx survived. So sad yet poetic her ending if indeed dead. Heard they will continue more stories in this world. Hope that is true!
This story need one more act. People keep saying another season but I disagree one more act could have resolved most of the issues and making the last episode much longer especially for a proper epilogue would have fixed all my issues I think
They already confirmed over a year ago that they're going to do several stories in the same universe but in different shows and regions, so the characters will probably just show up in those
This universe isn’t done yet. A lot of things are left open ended for a reason. These characters might even be main characters again while focusing on other nations at the same time. We'll see Piltover again
Jinx is Alive. There are 3 Big Hints ( the shimmer line by the explosion, Cate looking in to the blue prints of escape tunnels in that tower they were in and smiling on what she saw and lastly in the first episode of Arcane Powder said that one day she will ride on one of the flying ships and so was the last scene a flying ship going away from Piltover/Zhaun) Also Fun Fact: we got the Canon that Singed Daughter is a LoL Champion Named Orianna (A Girl that is now a "Cyborg") and also the Raven with 6 Eyes at the end is the "Spirit Animal" of Noxus Great General/Imperator Swain who is also a Champion in LoL that could be hinting that he is gonna be maybe in the Next LoL Series.
also the subtlye line when Jinx said "you don't get it sis, I'm always with you even when we're worlds apart", indicating she has the will to live through this but leave for good
Jinx is not dead physically but more like her name, she faked her death and left the city in that blimp just like she dreamed of in s1e1, saying one day she will fly one of these, now no one will be searching for her. She protected her sister and to let her live her life she had to disappear from her life, so she saved herself in last sec shimmer jumping into the vents before explosion and left the city and everyone in it. She had no more reason to stay there, she did like what Silco said in prison, to break the cycle you need to walk away, so she did.
is it swain or is it fiddlesticks? as a fiddlesticks enjoyer i really hope its fiddle cause i want more of him lmao but eitherway its setting up for an amazing season 3 if they continue the show
@Nephonix269 The eyed match the Swain aeetethic, plus I think fiddle is in Demacia. And no season 2, but Riot says they're definitely making other shows, they even bught a big share of the animation studio that made arcane.
@anasmouada9538 yeah I hope they continue making shows about the league universe cause its such An amazing universe and I'd love to see so many of the champions have animated stories 🙌 👏
Imo, Jinx survived and chose to leave the source of her cycle of trauma. There's too much evidence, the streak of her shimmer flash just before Warwick(Vander) is blown up. During Caitlin's inspection of the Hexgates ventilation she smirks and in the midst of narration 'Our story is not over' the remnants of the monkey grenade is highlighted. In front of the fire she's conflicted when asking Vi if she's still in the fight, since she doesn't know whether or not it's best to inform her of what she knows. And there's influential scenes with Jinx where she listens even after stating they're too late. To Silco, while in the cell: 'I think the cycle only ends when one finds the will to walk away.' The known and unknown conversations between her and Ekko. 'No matter what happened in the past it's never too late to build something new.... Sometimes to make a leap forward you have to leave a few things behind.' Solidified with the final shot, being of a blimp Jinx imagined one day flying away on from the beginning.
I agree. That shimmer line sold me on this theory- I can’t understand why the artists would deliberately put that no-so-subtle purple sudden line in there is they wanted us to think she’s dead. When I saw that in slow-mo, it made me think that Jinx and Ekko will be together one day in this universe. I like that thought.
One tragic note is that whatever the reality is in every universe we saw , the two sisters are always separate but they tend to find a way to always express their love despite that tragic circumstances of life. Sacrifice exists in every reality, we cant have the totality of happiness and perfection is not the answer of the equation.
So in total… Felicia and Connel, the hairless cat, Greyson, Benzo, Claggor, Mylo, Deckard, Vander, six officers + pink haired girl + whoever else Jinx killed, Sky, Marcus, Silco, Hanskol, Bosko, Cassandra, Amara + Ionian girl + goat guy + whoever else Ambessa killed, all chembarons, Kino, Elora, everyone in Stillwater prison during Warwick’s attack, Isha, Huck, Salo, and all of Viktor’s victims, Rictus, Gert (jinx fan), Loris, Maddie, Ambessa, and countless others are all confirmed dead. Heimerdinger, Viktor and Jayce, are possibly alive in a time loop. Singed is still alive! And he resurrected Orianna! La Blanc might be alive. Jinx is also possibly alive, escaping down an air shaft. Vi and Cait can finally be free and happy. Caitlyn’s dad can move on. Sevika is on the counsel. Mel is going back to Noxus. Ekko is probably looking after the tree. Gustov “the scowler” might never get a new jaw in this lifetime. Lest is hopefully safe, along with Babette. Piano guy hopefully doesn’t become so traumatized he becomes Jin. Steb can help his uncle Jericho go back to his food business. And Swain’s raven can get shot in the head by Jinx and we never hear about Swain again. The end!
I think a particularly heart wrenching thing to note is that Ekko appeared in the same place he left the AU. It’s the same spot they had the equipment so he basically went from seeing the Powder he loved and wished he could stay with to immediately seeing Jinx about to kill herself. That’s so tragic
Let's not forget they started a gang war in Zaun in Act 1, and 2 last chem barons alive who were fighting for Silco's spot weren't shown since then and the gang war never concluded. And somehow Sevika, who everyone ignored at rallies, became Zaun's leader and got a seat at the council?? She also didn't say a WORD in whole Act 3 bro😭
While I felt the 3rd act seemed a little rushed, I don’t think I’ll ever see anything like this show again. The fact they held onto Ekko until the third act and his big moment in the finale just shows that every character in this show matters. Absolute story and animation perfection.
I can totally see your point in some things feeling a bit rushed. I disagree with some of it. Like Lorris death was supposed to be abrupt and sudden. I feel like they wanted to use that character as a way to ground Vi in reality. He's there to help her when she struggles with alcholism. He steps away from Caitlyn when he dislikes the way she's going. He did things because he wanted to, not just to be a character. And where did that get him? Sudden death. Just like real war. He is the main character of his own story. Just like everyone else. And just like a real world, there's not a spectacle in war, it's sudden and meaningless. Obviously this show could've benefitted from another Act or season, but I do not think it needs it. Also this isn't me telling you that you're wrong or something, everyone's opinion is valid as long as it's grounded in what happens in the show. Loved watching this show with you guys.
I saw somewhere that if you look right before jinx's bomb goes off, you see a streak of pink light (jinx's shimmer) shoot off to the side and away from the explosion. I think she used her shimmer speed to escape through the vents. Noticed when cate was looking at the towers blueprint and they kind of zoomed on the vents but didn't explain why
the sabbotage of maddie made on the bomb by inserting a nail on it, i nearly missed it, that's why i was wondering why the POV shot on her giving the bomb with her expression took at least 2-3 seconds like as if she is gonna die or betray them... Also, jinx is kinda alive, if you slowmo the explosion, you can a purple line going straigth to the pipe on right...and at the near end scene where Caitlyn was holding the remnants of bomb Jinx used was looking at the blueprints of the hexgate area, it was shown that there are tunnels/pipe exits...
Not sure if anyone else noticed, but when the glass shatters at the start and we see Jinx in the reflection, the glass is Warwicks teeth and face. It’s a mirror of what we see happen at the end of the episode. The amount of subtle foreshadowing the artists included is mind-blowing (the raven, cailtyns eye injury etc etc). You really have to re-watch the entire series to see all the hidden clues that went right over our heads. The beauty of hand drawn animation is what makes these details possible.
While I do think it could have benefited from a slightly longer runtime, they still did a fantastic job within their 40-50 min rule tying a bow on everything. Only one plot hole distracted me: I don't know if I missed something but why did Viktor overlook Ekko when taking over everyone's minds? Was it simply because he was unconscious? But then there's the pros: The Viktor/time wizard reveal took me completely by surprise, Ambessa, while villainous, is badass; And they ultimately portraited everyone in such a three-dimensional way while still clarifying the true antagonists. That's been this show's greatest strength from the start imo. I believe Powder is alive, initially I was frustrated by why they would leave it ambiguous but I think it goes back to episode 7 when Vander says "You have to stop filling everyone else's cup and start filling your own". Vi and Ekko would plead with her to stay, but they will ultimately never fully understand the story of Powder/Jinx. She had to leave Piltover and everyone (including the audience, hence the ambiguity) in order to save herself. Series Finale: 8/10 Arcane: 9.7/10 Thank you for coming to my TED talk haha. This might be the best show on Netflix. (Maybe even slightly surpassing Dark. Fellow Dark fans don't hate me.)
Ekkos device is the inverse of rune jayce had on his wrist. And thenreason Viktor cannot access ekko and jayce is because theyve already been tapped by the arcane so unless he physically force to connect the arcane viktor had will not be able tp touch them. Remember, Arxane is asbtract, and every runes is never identical thats why they call it an anomaly, randomness that logic will have hard time to comprehend or might even be impossible.
After careful rewatch, I'm pretty sure Viktor needs to see through the eyes of his puppets: he can easily see everyone outside because of that, and he can see Vi and Jinx through warwick's eyes. But he has no sight of Ekko until the last seconds (and with how fast Ekko is going, he probably wouldn't have time to establish the link at a distance)
The “Please Let Me Go” song played when Jinx was stopped by Ekko, and the song finished when Jinx saved Vi and fell with Vander / Warwick. Rather than ‘taking’, she ‘gave’ her life in the way she was meaningful to her. At first I thought the music was asking Vi to let her go, but now I’m thinking that she’s asking us, the audience, to let her go. Or maybe she’s asking the past trauma to let her go…? What do you think?
Jinx is alive, there is shimmer like purple flash line just before that blast towards a vent that caitlyn was looking at in the end..she broke the cycle and walked away, she left in that ship in the end just like she said she would in s1 ep1..
I've been looking in the comic section in different reaction videos and I know there's no one is mentioning poor Heimerdinger, r.i.p. to him😭 Him Ekko, Mel & Jinx's were the true MVPs in this Act👏👏👏 Edit:* especially Jayce
NO ITS OKAY! Heimerdinger is alive, he is a yordle. Yordles are immortal and cannot die, they are essentially spirits, and when they "die" they go back to their like spirit dimension called bandle city.
Another thing that had 0 foreshadowing, this show really needed a third season to actually flesh out all these side characters because their deaths didn't hit whatsoever.
@@anitaremenarova6662 I can agree with this season needing another episode or two to more flesh out some things, but I disagree a bit about the deaths. Me and some homies were sad about Loris and went nuts for Maddies death lol. Maybe it's because we play a lot of TFT and while you don't learn anything new about the characters I've spent more time with them I guess?
@@anitaremenarova6662 Agree that the side characters needed more work this season, but Maddie being a plant had foreshadowing in retrospect. She's the first enforcer to start beating her chest during the scene in ep3 and Ambessa tells Vi that her absence gave her space to fill, meaning romantically through Maddie as well as as a mentor, plus Maddie listening in on Vi and Cait in ep8. It was pretty light foreshadowing, I didnt predict it, but not fair to say it came out of nowhere.
@@ESP_Blinks They represent what Ambessa what saying to Caitlyn in their sparing, right? Darius as the Might Swain as the Vision Le Blance as the Guile.
Heimerdinger is a Yordle and Yordles are a race of spirits so pretty hard to kill - if I had to guess his corporal form got vaporized by the Hextec and because he's a spirit he returned to Bandle City which is the home of Yordles in the spirit realm. As for Jinx I don't think she's dead either, Kate smiling after seeing the air duct & the air ship leaving Piltover at the end I took as Jinx walking away, but that's just me.
Your reactions to season one of this show made me start watching the show so thank you 💙💗 this was an amazing series and the animation was beautiful, I want more !!!!
If you pause frame by frame in the explosion you can see the trail of jinx with shimmer leaving on the right side, when they showed caitlyn checking out the structure she was investigating because she didnt find a body, only the piece of jinxs grenade. at the very end of the show they show the blimp in the sky, and season 1 powder said "one day im gonna ride on one of those things" meaning she escaped and got into that blimp, finally leaving and breaking the cycle like she said she would an episode ago. Amazing.
While true in game lore, that's not been established in this series for people who don't know that shit. Depending on what the creators decide it may or may not be a thing. I'd be inclined to believe they'd go that route with it, but it's still up in the air until some form of confirmation were to be seen within the show or mentioned by a character that knows.
10:36 I only played LoL for a few months (more interested the characters than the conbat) and it was so badass to see Ekko and Jinx and Cait and Mel collaborate. makes me want an Arcane RPG like Witcher 3 that trades POVs between the protagonists. granted storyline might suffer given how LoL isn’t storyline-focused. tho maybe I just want something not so MMPORG. I do like Curse of the Dead Gods, Ravenswatch, and Windblown’s vibes.
This series was everything! The animations, the story, the characters. This emptied me emotionally. So devastatingly beautiful. I have enjoyed this journey with you both. ❤
jinx isnt dead. the scene of caitlyn holding the monkey bomb piece and looking at plans of the building was showing the routes jinx wouldve used her shimmer to blast herself out of the way before the explosion hit. also the shot of the blimp flying away wasnt just a random closing shot. s1 ep1 powder says "one day im going to ride in one of those things", and thats jinx flying away finally setting herself free from the violence like silco in her mind told her to
Just noticing this time around that Maddie was the one who had the bomb and handed to the other guy. She probably put the the screw inside the bomb so it wouldn't go off. Also hearing him say that he would choose Runeterra to jump into out of so many is a huge compliment I think coming from him.
That last Caitlynn shot she was looking at blueprints of that area that Jinx fell, and it appeared to be several tunnels that Jinx could've escaped into right before exploding or after with her shimmer ability. That is how I saw that scene.
The creators and Riot themselves have confirmed for a few years that other projects/shows will be developed. Arcane the show is over, but other stories within the world will be explored. New regions especially.
For all those who have gripes with the ending and how it stacks with the first season, I ain’t going to get in your way. I loved this season as much as the first one and while season one is more concise, season 2 is remarkable in not forgetting what matters across both. This season did so much right, put so much attention to detail even in ways that made me like it more than the first time. Few things really have made so sad, so heavy, so hyped so crushed and so emotionally engaged. Season 2’s flaws are not that bad for me and I really can’t fault something that clearly had genuine love put into it the whole way through. Arcane is not merely a video game adaptation, it merely obviously among the best ever. It’s a new gold standard for marrying animation in all its imagination with narrative with all its ugliness and beauty. Kind of expect that Season 2 will have reappraisal for the better in the future if it needs it in the first place. I recall some being kinda mixed on Avatar Last Airbender’s conclusion originally, now people think it’s fantastic. This here was fantastic, fucking fantastic.
I feel the same way as yall about the last act, episode 7 was perfect for me and I had no notes! The story felt like it deviated a lot from Vi and Jinx in this act and season 2 overall in comparison to season 1. I understand that there was so much to get through and thats really a consequence of the lack of time executives gave them which is why they relied so much on the animation (and the animators did AMAZING) to tell the story, but part of what made season 1 so strong was the relationship between these two sisters and how character driven it was. Still loved the season and it was really enjoyable to watch, but my opinions on Jinx’s ending are really mixed. I wanted to see a mentally traumatized character get a better ending than this with her family. I do think she’s still alive and thats why it makes me even more disappointed that they didn’t go about it a different way while still “breaking the cycle”. I’m literally on both sides of the coin.
This is my Jinx is alive theory. Look at 30:44 at .25 speed because I think Jinx escaped before the explosion went off; see the pink/purple streak escaping straight up. Jinx also talked about breaking the cycle and having nothing left keeping her in Zaun. Jinx talked about wanting to ride a blimp while the finale scene shows a blimp leaving. Why show Caitlyn staring at blueprints beside the remaining evidence of a monkey bomb while zooming in on the left escape tunnels? Does the blimp leaving mean Jinx is breaking the cycle by leaving Zaun and her sister behind? If you freeze it on the end you will see a silhouette of a person on the right-hand side at 33:11. Do you think that is Jinx if not whom do you think it is?
Its almost explicitly shown that jinx survived. We see the flash of pink, they chose to show us air ducts are where she flashed to, the blimp, and the end screen being jinx font. In a show not tell story, thats as close to telling us she lived but left as we're gonna get
The guy who took the final shot at the cocoon is theorised to be a character from League named Jhin. A few subtle signs that hint that is when he plays the piano right before the war starts, and the fact that he took the fourth shot of the Hexgate. Jhin and the number 4 go hand in hand, really 😂 fourth bullet dealing more damage, and four sniped shots during his ultimate. He is also from Ionia, though so it's a bit of a stretch lol.
Jinx is actually alive, during the explosion u can see a pink shimmer line that happens when jinx zoom away, and previous episodes in the prison silco says to break the cycle by walking away, and during season 1 powder says she wants to ride the balloon one day so at the end they show us the balloon going away and closing the end in jinx style.
I kinda like how Jinx’s Sacrifice ties back to Ep 7 where maybe a peaceful Zaun may have happened if one of Vander’s Kids were removed from the equation
Caitlyn looking at the vents at the end was a hint that Jinx escaped the fall and followed up with Silcos flash back of ending the cycle by disappearing. Was possibly her on the blimp signified by the neon signing saying the end.
Ah, the Glorious Evolution is almost complete Warwick with him claws, Viktor in his suit, Ekko finish doing that Thing, and everyone else getting close to who they were always going to be. Yes, that is why Jinx truly is perfect! She makes everyone be the best version of themselves 😁 Truly a beautiful finale They're also hinting at Kindred (or some other Death God I'm forgetting) with Mel, which is interesting...
You know what's the one thing that doesn't make sense to me? How does Piltover not have any artilery defense? I mean this is a trading hub and the most advanced (Tech wise) city in the world with a unique resource that can only be found in it but they don't have any kind of defences set up? Like the cit was build to be a sade heaven for those who don't want to be around dangerous mages. The shore line should have so many canons set up that attacks via boat would be suicide.
Watching it for the 6th time I just realised a few things about Ambessa and Maddie.. When Cait shoots Ambessa and gives away her position, Ambessa is calling Maddie bold, Maddie also sabotaged the bomb that was going to blow up Viktors ball too. Just some little things that point out Maddie was the bad guy here.
JINX is..... alive!🥰😜 1. When the explosion slows down, you will see violet running away. a strip. 2. Caitlin suspects, looking at the drawings, but immediately understands everything when Vai starts singing. 3. Vai is not particularly killed, but hums melodies. 4. And the finale, we were shown the ship from episode 1 of season 1, on which Powder wanted to fly, and according to the drawings there are exits to their parking lots.
I think the Maddie betrayal was underwhelming for me. Not because it was predictable but because Maddie was underdeveloped as hell. "i did appreciate your warmth" means virtually nothing since we barely saw there relationship or basically any warmth. In fact I'd say Maddie provided more than Caitlyn.
@arthurzeer753 Yeah, it's not like I want Maddie and Caitlyn to be together but I'd like for the betrayal to mean something. There was no hug or even a simple hand holding, just a quick scene that shows they had sex which even then Caitlyn was cold to Maddie. There was no warmth provided which makes that line laughable.
3:05 cool little detail that her eye makeup ran in such a way that it says "IV" just like "VI" under Vi's eye. Also might be a little throwback to when she wrote "Jinx" under her eye in Vi's mirror but it was backwards.
Great Review!! Arcane is just so stunning. With depth the character journeys go like with Jinx. Then you slow see Vi and Jinx becoming sisters. I think the ending of Season 1 Episode 3 was the end of Powder, throughout the series we see Vi trying to get Powder within Jinx’s psyche. But now Vi is finding fragments of Powder within Jinx’s psyche and just connecting and intertwining the personas together. Yes Jinx is crazy, but I believe Jinx was formed by Powder’s survival instinct and the diabolical aspects was just Silco’s moulding. Sure while we see Vi’s aggressive fighting against antagonist type characters, but how is Vi’s brutality different than Jinx’s psyche. Both Vi and Powder changed after Vander’s “death”, and they had different styles to survive, Vi became more aggressive while Powder created Jinx. In the first episode Vi’s friends said Powder wasn’t a fighter and made everything worst, so in turn started the spark that create Jinx. While they didn’t see Powder as a fighter, Jinx was now stronger. I believe Powder created Jinx as a survival instinct, while Silco was the “Alice in Wonderland”. Then having Vi wanting to save Powder within Jinx wasn’t the way to go. Vi should have seen Jinx is Powder and Powder is Jinx. I am very interested to see what the finale has in store, I hope there is spin offs. I am very curious to see you guys opinions on the 3 episode “arc” release format.
12:20 Ok now that I think on it, did Jayce have time to build these brand new hextech weapons (if so, yeah, odd choice), or did they repurpose the tech they were using for crate transport?
You guys should react to Necrit's League of Legends lore on his yt channel, think of it as a sneak peek into what we'll expect next in the next LoL animation series that'll come out in the near future, love your reactions on Arcane🔥
As a 9 EP animated series.... i feel the only thing i got to say I WANT LONGER. That is about it. Everything is clear and what they want to convey they did and I feel what they wanted to show...mostly sadness but its arcane. League story is never really hopefully if i think about it haha. Some minor but mostly is brutal and about redemptions. 10/10 for 9 ep. I would make it a 9/10 bsc I really think making it longer...I will sit through it...another 6 more idm.
She lived...at least i think so, if you look at the explosion...then you see a pink strand dart away just before it goes off, and the airship at the end is the same one she said she wanted to ride back in the first episode, and the monkey head and caitlyn looking at the schematics for the air vents

I really hope that's not the case, they should keep it open-ended if there's ever any spinoffs.
@@anitaremenarova6662 I figure she'll explore the world a bit, make some Jinx caves to crash at, and then something will bring her back from time to time.
i just heard the full version of the song and at the end it say "don't let me go" instead of "please"
Listen to the whole song it’s actually hopeful.
Bitch, not you making me bawl again 🥲
Pretty sure they went into the past to continue the cycle
Seeing Vi zone out and cry over Vander’s body… Jinx finally gets how much pain Vi was in. “You can’t save him.” And Vi still doesn’t respond. And then we get the shot of Vander’s bleeding head from Vi’s perspective that night! We, the audience were on the left, but now we see from Vi’s POV on the right.
Jinx finally understands how Vi is not as invincible as she thought. She knows now Vi didn’t consciously choose to slap her that night, she was mentally overwhelmed with the pain of losing Vander. That reframing of the events that night is just gorgeous!
the animation in the viktor realm in just the most beautiful thing i have ever seen!

If you looked at the scene where jinx sacrificed herself, you can actually see a quick frame of her dashing away (its a purple line where she shimmered away) before the bomb exploded. When cait was reviewing the architecture of the building, she smirked and realized jinx is alive
Why do I love that wording or term though? "Shimmered away" I mean. It just sounds so nice and cool to me. Just felt like saying that.
I think we have a Jinx cameo in a spinoff series that will make everyone go 😮🎉
@EStephensII Have her show up in Demacia so her friendship with Lux becomes canon.

TRUTH.....because I would never finish a piece if I keep trying to perfect it.

User in twitter discovers that character development can also be negative.
The monologue in episode 6 be like
"I well help you accomplish your dream... - OUR DREAM" --> "There is ALWAYS a choice" --> *dies* in quotations --> "I now see the world more...lucid than ever before" --> "Choice is False" --> "Once i solved all equations, the world was just a dreamless husk" --> "I was wrong, and only you can show me this"
How can people miss that character arc's glorious evolution.
The emptiness that’s now in my heart is just heavy from this show. Pure perfection from start to finish ❤😢

In a grand scheme of things, yes, but I mostly enjoyed Arcane because of how Human the show was. Big focus on relationships, how characters play off of each other in the setting. I don't care what region they focus next, as long as they keep the quality high!
@Omen_a you don't have to worry about other regions it will be the same but probably longer
Bilgewater is the next "human" experience we could ever get after this. I'm excited with all the Outlaws and Pirates shenanigans we're gonna get
I'd assume Ionia is the next place of focus since Noxus and Singed's storyline continue there.
Apparently, there were supposed to be five seasons, but due to creative(some say budgetary) reason, they cut it down to 2
This story need one more act.

Jinx is Alive. There are 3 Big Hints ( the shimmer line by the explosion, Cate looking in to the blue prints of escape tunnels in that tower they were in and smiling on what she saw and lastly in the first episode of Arcane Powder said that one day she will ride on one of the flying ships and so was the last scene a flying ship going away from Piltover/Zhaun)
Also Fun Fact: we got the Canon that Singed Daughter is a LoL Champion Named Orianna (A Girl that is now a "Cyborg") and also the Raven with 6 Eyes at the end is the "Spirit Animal" of Noxus Great General/Imperator Swain who is also a Champion in LoL that could be hinting that he is gonna be maybe in the Next LoL Series.
Also Cait is holding the remains of one of Jinx' bombs in that scene
also the subtlye line when Jinx said "you don't get it sis, I'm always with you even when we're worlds apart", indicating she has the will to live through this but leave for good
Jinx is not dead physically but more like her name, she faked her death and left the city in that blimp just like she dreamed of in s1e1, saying one day she will fly one of these, now no one will be searching for her. She protected her sister and to let her live her life she had to disappear from her life, so she saved herself in last sec shimmer jumping into the vents before explosion and left the city and everyone in it. She had no more reason to stay there, she did like what Silco said in prison, to break the cycle you need to walk away, so she did.

Definetly, sounds sadly like a complete cope for viewers
I agree. That shimmer line sold me on this theory- I can’t understand why the artists would deliberately put that no-so-subtle purple sudden line in there is they wanted us to think she’s dead.

Pretty sure Cait/Ambessa mopped up the remaining chembarons with their "operations". With Jinx gone, Sevika was the only one left.
While I felt the 3rd act seemed a little rushed, I don’t think I’ll ever see anything like this show again. The fact they held onto Ekko until the third act and his big moment in the finale just shows that every character in this show matters. Absolute story and animation perfection.
I literally JUST finished watching your reaction to episode 8, impeccable timing 10/10 no notes
I agree.
11:26 I love that the Chef is there. He finally has a use for all those knives on his shoulder
Ekko carrying piltover and zaun in the war like lebron carrying the cavs in 2018
Not sure if anyone else noticed, but when the glass shatters at the start and we see Jinx in the reflection, the glass is Warwicks teeth and face.
Series Finale: 8/10
Arcane: 9.7/10
Thank you for coming to my TED talk haha. This might be the best show on Netflix. (Maybe even slightly surpassing Dark. Fellow Dark fans don't hate me.)
Viktor doesn't know what Ekko's device is either, so maybe something about being in the arcane means he can't see him
Ekkos device is the inverse of rune jayce had on his wrist.
Dude Jayce and Viktor were soulmates
I have a feeling the next show will take us to Noxus. Mel’s story still has a lot to offer.
swain' crow in the end 😷
That's pretty much confirmed
Well, we need to follow Singed making war crimes in another continent.
So, maybe Ionia during the Noxian invasion.
I've been looking in the comic section in different reaction videos and I know there's no one is mentioning poor Heimerdinger, r.i.p. to him😭 Him Ekko, Mel & Jinx's were the true MVPs in this Act👏👏👏
Edit:* especially Jayce
NO ITS OKAY! Heimerdinger is alive, he is a yordle. Yordles are immortal and cannot die, they are essentially spirits, and when they "die" they go back to their like spirit dimension called bandle city.
@michaelsullivan9843 OH wtf!?!? Ok thank u for telling me😅
Don´t forget Jayce ;P
9:20 also notice that Maddie is the one who pulls out the bomb that didn’t go off.

31:56 noxus leader himself paying a visit
It's always been there, even in season 1, it's just very subtle. Remember, he's always 7 steps ahead.
@ESP_Blinks he always watching
Noxus has 3 leaders right. Darius, Swain and Le Blanc.
@@RaiNBowShine999 yeah the triforce but swain is like the visible leader
@@ESP_Blinks They represent what Ambessa what saying to Caitlyn in their sparing, right?
Darius as the Might
Swain as the Vision
Le Blance as the Guile.
Your reactions to season one of this show made me start watching the show so thank you 💙💗 this was an amazing series and the animation was beautiful, I want more !!!!
grey legion formula + shimmer is actually such a fcked up combination. this is why noxians are so powerful they innovate in the middle of war
10:14 *everybody loved that*
If you pause frame by frame in the explosion you can see the trail of jinx with shimmer leaving on the right side, when they showed caitlyn checking out the structure she was investigating because she didnt find a body, only the piece of jinxs grenade. at the very end of the show they show the blimp in the sky, and season 1 powder said "one day im gonna ride on one of those things" meaning she escaped and got into that blimp, finally leaving and breaking the cycle like she said she would an episode ago. Amazing.
Hiemerdinger is a yordle. Yordles are immortal. Even if they die, they will respawn in Bandle City where every yordles live there.
Jinx is alive. I’m just glad there’s peace now. RIP Jayce and Victor.
RIP Loris and the other background characters
Arcane is the animated series of all time period
This series was everything! The animations, the story, the characters. This emptied me emotionally. So devastatingly beautiful. I have enjoyed this journey with you both. ❤
Props to the Noxian soldiers, they where pretty effective considering how advanced Piltover is.
jinx isnt dead. the scene of caitlyn holding the monkey bomb piece and looking at plans of the building was showing the routes jinx wouldve used her shimmer to blast herself out of the way before the explosion hit. also the shot of the blimp flying away wasnt just a random closing shot. s1 ep1 powder says "one day im going to ride in one of those things", and thats jinx flying away finally setting herself free from the violence like silco in her mind told her to
Just noticing this time around that Maddie was the one who had the bomb and handed to the other guy.
New regions especially.
not sure if its just me but starting from the scene where ekko gets off of the air balloon all the scenes hes in is so spider man 3 esque.
This episode was so devestating for me, im still so broken from finishing the series. i just want to see it continue and see just a little more.
I might be wrong but I that the woman at 4:48 is the same one Powder tries to help Mylo chat up, at the bar in the alternate universe in episode 7
I kinda like how Jinx’s Sacrifice ties back to Ep 7 where maybe a peaceful Zaun may have happened if one of Vander’s Kids were removed from the equation
jayce and viktor are so soulmates :,) i like to think they got teleported somewhere else and got to live hapily ever after together
Caitlyn looking at the vents at the end was a hint that Jinx escaped the fall and followed up with Silcos flash back of ending the cycle by disappearing. Was possibly her on the blimp signified by the neon signing saying the end.
Ah, the Glorious Evolution is almost complete
Warwick with him claws, Viktor in his suit, Ekko finish doing that Thing, and everyone else getting close to who they were always going to be. Yes, that is why Jinx truly is perfect! She makes everyone be the best version of themselves 😁
Truly a beautiful finale
They're also hinting at Kindred (or some other Death God I'm forgetting) with Mel, which is interesting...
Arcane is an awesome show. It's sad that there are not going to be more seasons after season 2. I will miss this show
Mel didn't have to redirect the bullet into Maddie's head but we all appreciate that she did.
Jinx achieved the one thing that had always eluded her, saving the one she loved.
Yes! 100% yes!
JINX is..... alive!🥰😜
So we did not see them together at all is what you are saying we did not see them hug each other but ok
You can see on jinx face while echo is trying to save her by rewinding, the makeup running down her left cheek looks like Violet tattoo on her face
"I almost just learned that guy's real name " 😄
12:20 Ok now that I think on it, did Jayce have time to build these brand new hextech weapons (if so, yeah, odd choice), or did they repurpose the tech they were using for crate transport?
The Finale of Arcane was heartbreaking & it left me speechless. I still cannot believe this this the end...
Now I want more league of legends shows
She lived...at least i think so, if you look at the explosion...then you see a pink strand dart away just before it goes off, and the airship at the end is the same one she said she wanted to ride back in the first episode, and the monkey head and caitlyn looking at the schematics for the air vents
