I feel Jacob and Jess are cartoonish stereotypes of their parties 😂
Lol living caricatures.
I think that's the point. It's just fortunate they are able to share banter with each other rather than pointless shouting.
It would make a good sitcom
But she's a blairite. A corbynista would be a better representative of the party.
Politics wife swap 😂!
I have so much respect for Jacob Rees-Mogg.
He voted to cut ESA by £30 a week for his sick and disabled constituents. He voted against landlords having to make homes fit for human habitation (he is a landlord). He's just another Tory toff who will happily vote for cuts for the poorest in our society without remorse.
Here is his voting record:
www.theyworkforyou.com/mp/24926/jacob_rees-mogg/north_east_somerset/votes
His votes to cut ESA and other support for young people in education isn't his only flaw in my opinion.
saying voting against gay rights is bad is like saying that someones opinion is wrong
And he does know how to rock a double breasted suit!

So weird seeing them together, both have views that are so far from each other but can be civil about it. Mogg and Phillips, a strange friendship if there ever was one
That sort of thing is found all over the House of Commons. The former MP Martin Bell, Independent member for Tatton (1997-2001) once said that walking through the corridors of Westminster, he was struck by how often he could see Tory and Labour MPs enjoying friendly conversations; if a blazing argument was going on, it tended to be between a pair of MPs from the same party. Fundamentally, whether MPs are Conservative, Labour, Liberal or Nationalist, they all want the country to do well and they want to achieve good things for all the people of this country, whichever way they vote. It's just that they have different ideas about how to achieve it.
@@MS-19 that's a very interesting point
@@grease_monkey6078 Ian Paisley and Martin McGuinness were great pals at Stormont, there is nothing strange about friendship it is the fundamental necessary to humanbeing co-existence and indeed trust.
One of my favourite double acts. I like how they don't actually try to score political points over each other, and just have polite discussion about their different points of view.
@@ill_be_frank I'll be honest, both have gone down in my estimation in the last 4 years a bit. Jacob Rees Mogg is so disingenuous it's very hard to take him seriously
Please God make this a regular segment. Jess and Jacob are great together.
I'm a labour member and will be voting remain. but jess Phillips is an atrocious MP and makes a terrible case for remain here.
+Newspeak yes, a disgraceful woman and an embarrassment of the Labour Party
+Newspeak she is definitely a little unstable to say the least
I find her to be a standard person from the midlands. I've met probably hundred of people like Jess Phillips, I've maybe met 3 or 4 Rees Moggs. I know which one i think is more representative of British people and which I'd prefer to have in Parliament.
Even just from the video alone, Mogg was lying about what Cameron had said about WW3..that isnt what he said.
+Gav Coverley no. he said Turkey wouldn't be ready to join until the year 3000. even though he made overtures to them about being in the tent.
I suppose i could regard his disingenuous comment to be hyperbole, and same for JRM.

I don't know why David Cameron invested so much with remain. He should have just stayed out of the debate and then taken credit for whatever the outcome turned out to be.
You're right, Cameron is in deep, and maybe why he strode out so far has something to do with a job that is being lined-up for him in Europe once he is out of office. Either way, try as he might he can never get the cork back in the bottle even if he tried, he's now fully committed.
because he's a Europhile and that's what he's paid to do lol
Cameron could never say 'remain' as it would be seen as conceding to UKIP
I agree. Just like Wilson(one of the greatest political operators since the war) did.
You know he didn't have to resign? It was a choice on his part, he would not want to implement the result and he not up to it.
Do you not find it interesting that JRM is driving to where they need to go, whilst Jess Phillips is criticising the Direction...
It's almost prophetic...
No, because had it been prophetic, it would have meant Rees Mogg was driving us where we needed to go
She never lets him finish a sentence!
That s what women do...I love this stereotype because I m a woman...from Germany by the way...smile
Good
As cuddly as she looks, Jess laughs off important matters with contempt. This referendum for the British to choose their destiny, is no laughing matter. I thought Jacob was the more serious person in this short segment. Shame Brexit the Movie wasn't broadcast on UK television. Why would they? That's why you have the Internet - Google it and watch at your leisure.
She really makes me laugh, totally rude to the facts and complete ignorance to common sense, her smile, and laugh, I'm sure will be wiped on the 23rd, nice!
darkstatehk
darkstatehk Jacob for the win

Sorry to break the news but Jess Phillips is already a massive failure.
😆 fucking Birmingham

Lol. What are you doing with your life?
Jacob Rees Mogg is chilled as fuck
The sexual tension is off the charts.
Yes you’re right; it’s quite palpable isn’t it? ... but charmingly innocent in the way they both seem to be not conscious of it. I think however Jess would probably give Jacob a right seeing to if they both were not married.
Although he has 6 children, one simply cannot possibly imagine JRM in "the act".
They have such an adoration for one another
I didn't see any. Where did you?
I reckon Jacob would secretly love a bit of rough like Jess.
Oh my gosh..she's just not got a clue..!
like you
Oh my gosh...wear a suit, talk slow and posh and everyone thinks your intelligent...!
Hi The Stow. Thanks for your comment. Let's start with "Very good principals" - Jacob belongs to the "The largest and most corrupt religious organisation in the world" - how's that for starters. According to Stephen Fry (you know that undereducated, manipulated chap) Please listen to Mr Fry here...ruclips.net/video/5G4QoEhFPTI/видео.html
Her children apparently aren't allowed outside or near fences of any kind.
shes a lefty cretin
So refreshing to see two people with diametrically opposed views being able to converse and discuss with politeness and dignity. Increasingly rare in this day and age. Also pretty funny watching this in 2021.
Two MP's actually being nice to each other. It's just nice to see. JRM is a true gentleman. And Jess Phillips seems a good hearted soul
He’s a revolting human being.
So funny watching this 3 years later in October 2019!
...and the uk still hasn’t left.
Even better in late December 2019, Thank you Boris.
Spending a road trip with Mogg would make my week, I wouldn’t share a double decker bus with Jess.
WE LOVE JRM!!!
yet if he did not support Brexit you would hate him just like Cameron
Matthew Miller fanboy,are you?
Jacob was going easy on her, he could of easily destroyed her
Ciaran Thayer He’s too much of a gentlemen - not many of them about these days.
Easy
J Naughton he likea this dumb woman for some reason.
It’s called respect
One catches more flies with honey then vinegar.
It’s nice to see two politicians from two parties debating politics without having a go at one another. Very refreshing.
omfg I love Jacob Rees Moggs he's always fantastic, dry, witty and quite intelligent, even if I disagree with him on this
See a white guy in a suit with a posh accent and everyone gets an erection
Embarrassing
+Celestina haters gonna hate
Being versed in history, classical writings, art, politics doesn't mean he is incredibly intelligent. It means he went to a posh, very expensive school and he has a good memory. You obviously find that extremely attractive. It's how the establishment have ruled the roost for so long..."You peasants are too stupid to run the country as it's awfully difficult so leave it to us clever chaps with the posh accents." Having said all that I actually think he's one of the better conservatives as he appears to be genuine and thinking of others - (not normally a strong conservative trait.)
@@Celestina0 You racist.
What a wonderful interview. It was lovely to see them able to disagree and treat each other not only with respect but have a good laugh together. I wish more politicians were able to behave so well.
"I think the economy will be stronger" funny when you look back none of those who said they knew what they were voting now for seemed to know what they were voting for then.
They actually ADORE each other. This is why I love British politics. It's all banter.
As I have said before Jacob is a national treasure. Long may we listen to his words of wisdom.
yet if he did not support Brexit you would hate him just like Cameron
It's interesting how none of the people saying they will vote remain seem to have any strong conviction or reason for doing so.
2 years on this is still very true, not one reason
it's easier to argue against something than it is for it.

Can you actually talk without using language like that. It only makes you look like an idiot. Get an education you moron. Though I guessed that Brexit idiots like you would use this tactic
Three years, and you are still IN IN IN!!!
Maggie, Maggie, Maggie!
Feel like these two are actually tryna be mates, Its nice to see 2 people with such different views actually get along and be civilised instead of screaming at one another. Jess Philips did day she wanted to make politics more light hearted and less divided.
Something I really admire is the friendship between these 2.
"I forgot Luxembourg and Malta" she's an MP?
For the UK parliament not the EU parliament
@@hayden-ln1li Who dares wake me from my slumber?
Connection Points I’m back too
Mogg destroyed her without even trying, she was all piss and wind.
Her entire reason for staying revolved around fear of change
How can you not love Moggy
What a closed minded woman she is.
When people like Jess say the NHS couldn't cope without immigrants, she neglects to mention that the number of immigrants needed is directly proportionate to the number of immigrants we have. We have to import more immigrants for the NHS to support the immigrants who come to work in the NHS 🤔
Surely a traditional Labour MP would be concerned that we import workers instead of training up our own citizens. Labour really has lost itself. .
These two together are awesome. So totally different, yet they have this amazing chemistry and really complement one another. A terrific double act. Must say I prefer Jacub Rees-Mogg though. Can't really relate to Jess very much. I'm sure she's lovely, but her ideals are definitely not my cup of tea. Jacub's strong principles and optimism are what wins for me.
Sorry Jess you seem a nice girl, but everyone knows Moggster brain is the size of a small planet. #brexit.
we know where pluto disappeared too lol
Really??? The phrase "educated beyond intelligence" comes to mind. Mogg does at least stick to his principles though, I'll give him that.
Principles? He's a Tory politician. Principles don't really come into the whole practice of being a Tory.

Fuck off back to your kiddy porn under that bridge you live in, you low IQ migrant....
Small as in "too small to be detectable by humans".
More of these two, Channel 4!
I feel sorry for JRM having to put up with her all day 😂
Ok boomer
The day that Jacob Rees Mogg discovers a proper fitting suit is the 2nd enlightenment.
And we are now eventually actually leaving.
I'm so glad to see members from opposite sides being able to have a day out together without speaking hatefully and arguing the whole time
I can't believe this is the first time that I have seen these videos. I would love to see more of these! What a contrast of personalities and backgrounds but works so well. And it is a good debate, well constructed but doesn't feel like two people being blinded by their own opinions.
The lady with the white hat at 2:03 says it all. Everyone who is not one of the corrupted political/corporate elite should be voting to LEAVE!
He is on a beach in his suit. You've got to love Jacob.
Jess ought to have stuck to the matter at hand rather than try constantly to bring party politics into it. I'm sure she sees herself as some champion of the people but actions speak louder than words, character louder than one's espoused views - she's no better than any Tory. Jacob, conversely, conducted himself with the utmost decorum.
Please Vote Leave. Massive party at my house afterwards.
Ya happy now?
@@HT-lr1rs wow three years ago!! Wasn't it four years ago, though!!?
Umm, yeah, happier than I was when I wrote that message, obviously 😂
Thankyou
@@lankystudent 4 years in and it's been a pretty epic disaster so far. Not just massive debt from extended trade negotiations but higher inflation costing every household in the UK and the pound falling further and further in value. I myself am about to lose access to live in my own home country because I never got a passport there.
@@martingoldfreed2627 We Brexiteers finally get the chance to live in our own country and under our own rules.
It's a wonderful thing.
And it's been 4 months, not 4 years.
@@lankystudent We always did live in our own country. If you went to any other country like Germany and said the EU was taking away sovereignty, they'd laugh. The EU only makes common law for human rights and trading standards (something that's in the common folk's favour and something we should want. It benefits the poor, not the rich).
Meanwhile, the vast majority of English law is created by unelected officials in the House of Lords which is an arguably less democratic and worse system than the EU. The fact Brexiters aren't pushing for the British system now to be changed suggests an understanding of our own system, let alone the EU.
The only reason the NHS is no longer for sale to the US is because the public found out. Meanwhile, food standards, working hours, and health and safety are already being discussed to be worsened. Inflation has already caused every family in the UK to be poorer, and as someone whose studied economics I can tell you that'll be much worse in the future. Very beautiful, yes.
Please, tell me specifically which human rights protections common business laws the EU provided were bad and the brilliant new ones the Conservatives will bring in. As a Brexiter, you should be able to list a large number off the top of your head. It's funny that not even Nigel Farage is capable of this.
Does anyone know what the music at the beginning is?
Oh, sweet innocent 2016. I have a message from 2021 for you... You have no idea how dark things will get.
The darkest hour is just before the dawn
Rees Mogg on point.
that's a brilliant bit of footage
oh the tension
And now we know that Brexit has knocked "at least" 5% off GDP. The US aren't signing up to a trade deal, which was one of the big selling points. They really should have stayed in. Thatcher had it right : go in, keep Sterling, and get a rebate to contributions. The Euro is a disaster. But membership of this trading block, with free movement of capital, people, and goods is very sensible. Now employers can't get staff; foreigners have had to leave; and the country is looking like a basket case, increasingly dependent on the City of London, to such an extent that the regulators are again watering down the controls put in place to rein in bad actors after the GFC. I really hope they have another referendum on it in the next 10 years.
i love these two together
The misandrist Jess Philips, what a disgrace.
Amazing. The great Jacob Rees-Mogg in my old home town and stood next to the pub I used to live in (next to the Tattoo shop). This was great to see.
Of course, he was spot on and still is. Bless her, Jess seems like a nice lady but she doesn't have a clue.
Brexit: "Jess fancies Jacob"
"You get this nice, light, Mr Whippy Ice Cream."
Which Mrs Thatcher helped to invent.
You mean more air less substance
Her interruptions make me want to scratch off all my skin, she's so rude. Mogg all the way, what a gentleman and a hero.
I'm pro-Europe myself, but this Phillips lady is utterly contemptible. Speaks before she thinks, asks questions and then interrupts JRM when he tries to answer, and above all else there's nothing I hate more than somebody who argues my point of view badly.
Well, the last scene really says it all, doesn't it?
Well, we are all in the same boat, we shall see
1:10
She reduces it to party political politics
2:19
She implies that if Brexit succeeds all immigrant nurses will have to leave, being ignorant of the points based system proposed.
Two members of the public stated they were voting to remain because it was _about the children_, how does it benefit the children to sell their future Parliamentary Democracy *permanently*, where they would otherwise have been able to kick-out any future government that did not adhere to the mandate it had campaigned on to serve a corporately controlled dictatorial bureaucracy *whom they never voted in, can’t remove and regarding the law are untouchable?*
5:35
Again, forgetting that this has absolutely *nothing to do with Party Politics* she has another go regarding the differing views within the Conservative party, banging on about Cameron’s position being untenable.
6:17
Even if there was a *temporal* downside to the economy as she insists, though many disagree… it would be preferable to the *permanent loss* of our sovereignty,. Yes we’ll still be able to vote and Parliament will sit, but only regarding what day they collect the bins in the week, nothing that refers to anything higher… that will be decided on our behalf by Brussels and if we don’t like it… tuff.
Divergent views discussed with politeness and respect for opposing arguments. Genuienly nice to see.
If only all political arguments could be this rosey.
I've come to the conclusion that there is a huge difference in what is best for me, and what is best for the country. It's a very difficult decision to make...
Jess needs to stop talking while Jacob is driving, she's clearly endangering everyone in the car with her agenda pushing.
"We're only like 22 and 19... we don't really understand."
Sums up democracy quite well I think, the tyranny of the majority.
Also, Jess Phillips pointing, haranguing and laughing really grinds my gears.
Battle wasn’t the site of the battle of Hastings it was named that to attract tourists. The battle of Hastings occluded in bexhill which is very slightly further along the cost ( only by one train stop though)
A contentious and ongoing issue. Will it ever end ?

These two should have their own political TV show, they totally disagree with each other, but they obviously really enjoy each other's company🙂
Poor Jess. She got her bottom handed to her on a plate.
"We don't really understand. We're only like 22 and 19."
That kind of says it all.
But haven't you heard? they're going to fix it all with woke culture and replace facts with lies. what could go wrong?
@@projectdalekmark I understood they were going to replace facts with feelings?
@@BedsitBob feelings are what connect us with the energy of the universe... 😄 🤣 😂 😆 😄 🤣 😂 😆 😄
@@projectdalekmark with regards to brexit what has gone right? What benefits have we derived from brexit?
@@Sam-sc6rr Eh??? Do you not watch the news? Have you not seen the crisis EU bureaucrats have reaped? We would have been locked into that and now they are predicting that our economy will surge with the new trade options we now have. I think you'll find many EU countries are envious of Brexit and now things like Frexit are on the horizon, meaning we can start trading without tariffs with each country that leaves the EU.
The Remain camp's constant touting of the value of immigration as a reason to remain part of the EU is their most nonsensical leap of logic of all (and that's up against some pretty stiff competition). The Brexit camp is NOT about stopping all migration, but rather having our own system that WE control and manage ourselves. Of COURSE there are benefits to immigration, but there are a lot fewer benefits to open-door policies where anyone can move anywhere totally unchecked. It's just not right. It's why we never became part of Schengen. It is NOT a racist thing to wish for control over your borders!
It's cultural communism dressed up as progressive thought.

I love this pair, they have such good chemistry despite their polar opposite views
I haven't really made up my mind yet. I think there's pros and cons on both sides. I really don't know which way to go.
I would vote out we don't have unlimited space

Newspeak.Yes, there are many reasons to leave but none more important than that we return to being a self-governing democracy able to decide our own future.
Jess Phillips is a very honest person
"We don't understand. We're only 19 and 22. I've just done a woopsie in me knickers!" Heavens above. You're fully grown adults, behaving like enfeebled infants. Saints preserve us if this is the next generation!
This is what good old jacob loves to hear.
1:34 can you see the difference ?
When do you get a chance to see people with different opinions get along so well?
Looking back six years - it all came through. The immigration didn't stop, food and energy prices have sky rocketed. Energy bills to hit 5k in 2023.
Vote Jess Phillips, you can count on her!, to talk over you...
lol, haven't that guy been interviewed by Ali g?
Is this the lady that laughed at the request to have a men's issues day or commission? If so she is quite an unpleasant person.
Phillips in awe of JRM far superior intelligence......she should have done the programme with Diane Abbott to give her a bit more credibility
Her pronunciation of "patriot" is unforgivable imho.
At least they get on
I'm an Irishman, I know what it's like to be under the jackboot of the EUSSR, leave every single time, thats what I voted for and I am educated, I understand exactly why I voted leave and would always do so as long as I work in England because she's full and cannot afford more ecomigrants, an immigrant myself but I run my own business and I have a veteran and patriot first policy.
Does anybody else reckon Jess really, really fancies JRM?
