To open the pattern link, click on “more” after the video Title. This will open a Description box to the right of the video (if it’s not expanded) but it will only show part of the window, so click on “more” in that Description window again. Then click on the pattern link & open it using a browser (not DropBox). Then very IMPORTANT, a page will open up (a DropBox ad) but do NOT click on anything, instead SCROLL TO BOTTOM of screen & click on hidden “go to website”. This will open the pattern doc. Hit DOWNLOAD button at right top of screen and print.😍👍
Great idea. Those are actually beautiful enough to use while on trips for tiny waste paper cans in a car if they were heavily protected with a sealant to prevent stains or to put small items in such as pens or pencils for children to write in a journal while traveling upon arrival they can be stored or used for them. Would make a great place to put toiletries I.e. toothbrushes in while traveling again if protected by a sealant. The ideas just keep coming.
This is the best kind of sewing project for me - practical, good for scraps, but beautiful and customizable. Can’t wait to try it! Thanks for the great tutorial
Thanks for the short demo. I watch a LOT of tutorials, and some of them run on WAY too long. I sometimes even speed them up just to get through sooner. But yours is just the right length. Very nice.
Thank you! Great “tut”, especially for your first time! I have watched multiple tutorials on making this little thread catcher- l found yours the best! Thanks again.
Thank you so very much for sharing your wonderful scrap/thread catcher!! I love this!! It's not a huge garbage can taking ⁰ up a lot of space, and it is small and can hold a lot!!
Your video just popped into my RUclips feed...great video & we'll definitely be trying this! Thinking, cause of arthritis in my hands, trying with a wide mouth ring. TY for sharing!!!
Thank you for your tutorial. I followed your directions to make the thread catcher. However. I used a left over piece of home decor fabric, and found that the fabric. was heavy enough to stay open on it's own without using a strip of plastic to maintain the shape. it works great !
Great job. That can be very helpful for those of us that do a lot of hand sewing. Especially if you take your appliqué projects with you when you want to work on them away from home. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve made a couple dozen of these from a different tutorial but LOVE your version! Never thought of using the mason rings and will definitely be using this going forward 💕. Great job on your first video and will look for more.
Great idea and tutorial. Would like to make a few as gifts, but would like them a little larger. Can you give the formula for making a larger one with a larger canning lid?
Hi & thank you for this tutorial. I looked on Amazon for templar plastic but didn't have much luck. Can you elaborate, please? Or, is there another material that will work as well? Bless you!
Thank you for the instructions altho I could not find the instructions in the ad. I would like to know who makes the material of the item at the end with the sewing stuff.
Go to the “more” under the video, it will make a new window (in place of comments) open on right of video, then on right go to the second “more” & it opens the rest of the info screen where pattern link is. I know RUclips isn’t a very intuitive user design so I hope this makes sense.

I really love this little gizmo! I can see me using these at different machines! I am excited about trying these! Thanks!
Great idea! I think I will be making this for myself and daughters who both sew. Nice tutorial..... I appreciate the concise instructions.

I wish I had this when I used to hand piece my quilt tops. Great idea!
What a great gift for all of the sewers in my life.
Absolutely love it!!!!! Thank you for sharing
I need to make some of these wee mindings for Christmas (here in Scotland a wee minding is a small extra gift).
Thankyou so much
Thankyou for sharing this lovely pattern.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful tutorial
I just made one of these today. All I had was a wide mouth ring, but I altered the pattern and it turned out great! Love this thread catcher ❤

What a clever design.
Thank you! I am going to make these for me and my sewing and crochet friends as gifts this year!
Thanks for sharing your experience.
How fun & cute. I think I would want mine made with the wide mouth jar lid. Thanks for sharing your video with all of us.
That was great! Congrats on your first... hopefully of many!

Hello how are you doing today
Just found you. Great tutorial. It was quite short but you got the drift. Thanks.

Great video. Easy to follow. Nice compact thread catcher
Hello how are you doing
Wonderful project! Thanks for an easy to follow tutorial too! I arrived here from Instagram. Looking forward to making some of these!
So clever. Thank you!
I will be making this style.
Great idea and tutorial. Would like to make a few as gifts, but would like them a little larger. Can you give the formula for making a larger one with a larger canning lid?
Very cool! 👌🏻😎🪡 Love this idea and the fact that it's so inexpensive to make! ❤ Thanks for the tutorial.
That's adorable! 😍
Wow! Very clever.
That's brilliant!
Well done!
Thank you for sharing! ❤
So cute! Looks pretty easy also!
You can use a pool noodle instead of rolled up wash cloth. Cut to desired size.
so pretty
Great video! Thank you!
I will do gathering stitch on rectangle before I insert jar lid.
New subscriber here ❤ love your work!! 😊
Hi & thank you for this tutorial. I looked on Amazon for templar plastic but didn't have much luck. Can you elaborate, please? Or, is there another material that will work as well? Bless you!
Yes, you can use Karen Buckley Applique Plastic off Amazon😍
So clever!
Lol... winter home.

Oh I forgot! I don’t know the material name as it was a scrap I had in my bin.
Very nice ... Are hoing to make
What size canning jar ring? Regular or Wide Mouth? The written instruction say 9” circumference neither ring is 9”.
It's small ring
I used a regular size. Circumference, not diameter (on the 9”).😍
Cannot get the pattern to load and keeps jumping to drop box
I'm not seeing any written instructions
Click on “more” below video by the video title, then to the right of screen click on “more” again to see link. Crazy new format way RUclips works!
