Only problem i have with building out my rig too big was even though the extra weight helped for steadier handheld shots, it takes too long too strip down to go to steadicam/gimbal. This is a big deal when trying to stay in rythym with a client (especially models) or working with limited time left with good natural light conditions. Having to take 5-10 min to strip down my rig and try and balance on steadicam/gimbal can put a complete hault to the rythym established during a shoot. I had a 12lb rig built out for my bmpcc 4k and even managed to get that to balance properly on the crane 3s but ive went with different v mount battery and accesories to lower the weight to 9lbs. I have a system of accessories combined that now allow me to go from handheld, to tripod, to gimbal all within 5-10 seconds of eachother. Not having to strip anything to change the type of shooting i want to do has helped open up my creativity on shoots

Awesome rig looks very clean! Is there any 50mn EF mount lens that you like because of its character or look? The Canon FDS look really nice but I don’t want to hassle with modding them for EF mount
Hi! The SLR Magic with what adapter are you using them on the S6? Do you know if Voigtlander lens will be covering this s35 sensor like the SLR magic? Thanks
Hey Joshua! The MFT mount you have listed in your description is the same as the one on B&H Photo. The only difference I noticed is that the one on B&H shows it's for the M4. Does the MFT Mount with active lock fit the S6? Here is the one I found on B&H: www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1591846-REG/z_cam_em105_mft_mount_for_z.html
Hey Joshua! I'm really struggling with a decision. I'm planning on getting the SLR MAGIC 25mm 1.5 microprime and a 50mm 1.4 microprime, but I need to work lighter and faster and was considering the 0.95 hyperprime equivalents of the aforementioned lenses. Is there a difference in optics? is one smaller or lighter than the other? and why is there 0% info on the SLR 17mm 1.5 microprime? The lack of info arouses suspicion! I'm using the bmpcc4k btw! Thanks so so so much in advance! Big fan!
@@joshuamartinstudios much appreciated! I made my B&H order yesterday. Settled for the 8mm (15mm), the Microprime 21mm (40mm), and the Microprime 50mm (95mm). I hope that covers me!
@@joshuamartinstudios ignored the 17mm and the 25mm and split the difference with the 21mm. Hope that works out! Also got the SLR variable ND and a couple of tiffen filters! Thanks for your amazing videos dude. Really helped me make my decision 😊🙏
Keep killing it! You've got me wanting the WC Follow Focus.
its nice bro!
That is officially the Neatest Z-Cam rig I’ve seen . . . As in Tidy!
Thank you! Haha
Wish Blackmagic would get their shit together build a body like this!
Sweet! I like to see people handling "heavy" rigs.
You still have your Ursa?

Having two cameras on set is ideal. Like I side, it depends on your needs. I don't intend to strip this down because I'll have a second body.

Haha I hear ya - don't forget you can always rent! And I will be discussing that topic in upcoming video but you can always DM me!
@@joshuamartinstudios i appreciate that, and ima definately look into renting some rigs in the future
I have a discount code for lensrental - JMS15
What base plate do you have on your rig ?
Is there a reason you use the MFT versions of the lenses instead of the EF?
I reserve my APOs for high-end projects. Once I get my F6 - the APOs will be on that camera
@@joshuamartinstudios awesome, thank you for the response! Keep up the great content!
Hey cap'n? Where you get that scale? Not gonna lie, I've been in the market for a good scale to weigh my cameras and other gear. THANKS!!!
Oh lol I got it from target haha

Currently I'm using the SLR magic 50mm Microprimes APO lens. Super underrated lens

I'm using the MFT mount for the z cam e2 S6. For the MFT Microprimes.
No I don't know if the voigtlander lenses cover super 35.

I will have a video in the 17mm soon. But it's a great lens.
The 0.95 isn't worth getting.
