I think it’s important to note, especially to potential buyers) that there is significant hdmi lag when recording with the ninja V (in prores raw only). I own a z cam s6 and love it, but I don’t use pro res raw for that reason. In my opinion if you are shooting prores raw on this camera, it’s best to have a 1st AC who is pulling off witness marks and not the monitor.
@@lukaspictures not to be brash, but 3 frames of latency while outputting PRR can not be correct. ZCam has acknowledged the lag on the Facebook group where tests show that show HDMI out has 4-6 frames latency without the use of ninja V. Outputting a raw signal exacerbates the problem. I don't own the ninja anymore, but from memory the lag was significantly more than the regular HDMI feed. I'd say at least 10 frames, and that's being kind. This starts to get into unusable territory for me for anything with lots of movement as it adds almost a half second of lag. I currently use a hardwired iPad which as the user above commented has very little latency.
@13:49, BT709 is the incorrect color space-- that is the color space premiere auto selects for clips. it is NOT the correct zlog2/z gamut color space for the raw footage captured by the ninja v using the z cams sensor.
The Z CAM E2-S6 Super 35 6K Cinema Camera supports recording formats MOV and MP4 using ProRes raw for 12-bit recording and H.265 for 10-bit recording (H.264 supports 8-bit recording) when using the latest firmware update that allows the camera to record in both ZRAW and ProRes formats. The HDMI 2.0 port supports 4K60, 10-bit 4:2:0 video output. Audio is recorded in 24-bit 48 kHz using AAC or PCM (PCM for MOV format only) through its 3.5mm stereo jack or via a separately available XLR connector using its 5-pin LEMO port. >Mark
I love my e2 s6, but you are not completely correct when you state that there is no cropping in any resolutions or frame rates. Once you go over 60p there is indeed a crop, depending on the frame rate and codec, with the exception of HD. It's not a big deal, and honestly still way over what competitors are offering at this price point.
How can I know the crop though, I considering this camera and is the F6 not have that? For example If I shoot 100fps is it as if the sensor is m4/3? the sensor is s35, but I need to know what the crop factor is for higher speeds since it's sort of a potential deal breaker especially since I'd presume performance takes a big hit as it's not using the whole sensor anymore
Please tell me how to work with Prores RAW (recorded via z-came 2 s 6+ atomos ninja 5) in the Premiere Pro program? Which Lut Should I Use? for Final Cut, you have it on your site, but not for premier.
My e2s6 can not trigger the ninja v. I must start/stop recoding via the touchscreen. I tried using several highspeed HDMI 2.0/2.1 cables nothing works. I also have the official LANC cable, still doesnt work. Hope that you can help, thanks in advance!🙏

What are your thoughts on the Z CAM E2 or E2-S6?
Can this camera use the ProGrade CFExpress 2.0 Cobalt card?
grading in premiere makes me want to vomit....
get over it DaVinci boy

Using an iPad with the z cam app gives excellent results for pulling focus, around 150ms lag. Good big antenna is a must.
E2S6 has 2 frames of lag itself and 1 frame of additional lag because of HDMI cable. SO 3 frames of is not that bad :)

Color space for я cam Prores Raw-z-log2??? Is this verified information?
Thanks for helping me to knowing Z Can cameras 🎥
Nice colours
Pretty cool
Is there any chance you could provide the original RAW footage for us to test with?
Do you need the monitor to record RAW or can you record directly to the camera?
