Can you do one interview with Dr. Ashok Khemka Sir. He is one of the most respected officers in the community; transferred 52 times in 26 years! Also, if you are comfortable, do ask officers some difficult questions like - why they are transferred/not transferred frequently, what do they do when they are asked to not follow protocols by politicians/senior officers etc etc?

Our sir given a clear picture on Nagaland through this interview, the information sir narrated would be new to many, what is exactly Nagaland and policing in the state. I am a fortunate person to worked under him as his Stenographer while he was S.P. of Phek district from 09.9.2005 to 04.04 2008. As the Police Chief of the district sir tackled the sensitive situation/ issues wisely, diplomatically and peacefully like issues/law and order problems of factional clashes which often took place from time to time almost a year in the early part of his superintendent-ship. Highway robberies/extortion and other criminal acts by unwanted elements were controlled and minimized with the efforts taken by the district Police under sir's leadership. Land disputes in the district are very common and as usual disputes over land in the district took place sir's tenure too such issues takes place even these days too, and some of such issues are long pending having more than a century history. Inter state land disputes bordering villages between Phek (Nagaland) and villages in Senapti & Ukhrul districts of Manipur, there are many disputes over cultivable/non cultivable lands between bordering villages of Phek district with neighboring villages under Zunheboto, Kiphire districts, there are also many inter village land disputes within the districts too which are long pending and yet to be resolved it. These crucial issues somehow controlled and maintained peace and tranquility for time being in these areas with negotiations /mutual talk with the rivals. These were possible because of sir's able leadership and good co-relation maintained by the Police and civilians. Our sir also successfully conducted General Assembly Election covering 5 A/C constituencies ( 16 to 20) in the district when sir hold the charge of SP. The CPMF Coys from different parts of the country came to Phek district to assist the Police during election and its various process for security duty and on successful completion of their duty while they returned our sir presented them above 30 officers with colorful Naga traditional shawls, when they received it, over joy, happiness could read out from their face and body expression as receiving a high honored medal from their own department. Many things to be added but I just conclude here, personally I wish our sir all the very best.

Forget to add one important things that our madam lady wife of our sir worked as Headmistress of the Unit School sometime carrying their small son ( Unit School, classes from LKG to VII) and the entire period madam worked without salary for the bennefit of the unit and during madam supervision School ran smoothly and during her tenure lot of teaching aids brought for the School besides construction of School office building,class rooms were build wth sir and madam initiatives. Now the School is no more as in the long run went on financial crisis due to shortage of students and coming up.of many Schools in the town. Now Unit Subsidiary Canteen functions in the old school buildiinng which opened by the initiative of then S.P. of the district Smti. Virindha Shukla,IPS and other temporary buildings accommodate security forces,IRB etc come to.the dist for duty. A big thanks to madm too for her contribution to the unit and district.

Most Honorable Sir, Jai Hind, respected ADG Sir has given a good knowledge about saving daylight, solar power of North East region. Actually 20 years ago our doordarshan used to air news in the evening for North East region, through LPT. Myself being SI(M) CRPF, worked in Khatkhati, when ever on leave, experienced sleep and food habits, due to Sun rise and Sun set. This is what my personal experience. Thanks 🙏🌹

Humne suna North-East Cadres ke All India Service ke officers ko jo "additional" 25% (of their basic pay) milta tha compared to their counterparts working in other cadres (except NE) aur post-retirement home ki bhi facility milti thi (jo dusre All India Service ke same rank ke officers ko dusre cadres me nahi milti), vo 2009 se chali aa rhi scheme ko abhi Central Govt ne with immediate effect withdraw kr liya...
