We were at Coimbatore airport and Sir Manekshaw was coming inside. My husband went to wish him. Sir Manekshaw bent from his great height and shook hands with my 2 young daughters and when I folded my hands to do Namasthe, Sir Manekshaw said”No young lady “ and shook hands with me too . A gentleman to the core and it was a great honour for us . Greatest Indian.

I think you are lucky to have lived in Navsari. I visited Navsari about 10 years ago. Quite an interesting little town and saw few Parsi families. I visited a local library where a librarian actually showed me a very old book Zoroastrian history and religion and was written in old Persian script. I was actually quite disappointed by the way the librarian treated the book. I wish Indians take more care in preserving various aspects of history and artefacts in public places. But funnily enough the librarian treated me like I was a foreigner but in a good way the moment I told her I was Tamil Nadu. In these 18 minutes I got many important informations where I would have spent a week to read in the books. Damn this man lived in all the crucial days of our history and it's a feeling that can't describe by words to see someone's narrating the real experience from long gone.

Bhakts destroyed proper debates and interviews. It's funny how they are praising him here while not considering that he treated pakistani soldiers like his own. I hope those fools won't ignore it nd learn from him
