I served in the Australian army for 9 years and after watching this video I've got great respect for this man. It doesn't matter which country you're from, all Army men have great life lessons to pass on to other people. If his stories don't motivate people, I don't know what will. Well done that man.

And if someone is unable to link the 3rd lesson with our normal non-combat situational life(unlike army) then i would like to explain that this quote particularly means, dont wait for that golden hour to study, dont wait for that coming monday to start diet....its about the "kal se karunga" attitude....you can never know what is the situation ahead that you may have to face.......i didnt know how to drive car, i thought so what im living in delhi, not in village, i can book cab or call ambulance in case of emergency or heck my neighbours and relatives will help me but i forgot at the time of crisis the first help available close to you is the best one possible to change all the circumstances, one day my father got a paralysis attack and we had to call our relative to take him in his car as ambulance was unable to get there, so i learnt the lesson that day but understood today from this video

This is a principle axiom of the US Army as well. In basic training, if one member of your platoon fucks up, you all pay for it. You learn through punishment and pain that while in the infantry, you are not an individual, but a part of a team. Without the team, you're not effective. You win together, you lose together.
Glad to see the Indian Army has this methodology ingrained into their military as well.

Something similar with that Tank misfire happened to me during disarming of INSAS, unfortunately the rifle which was given to me was jammed and I failed to disarm…and I was best on that during my training days… latterly our CO and Ustad called me and gave me another rifle and it’s happened again. My Ustad became furious on me and he himself tried to disarm the 2nd rifle and failed… they gave me 3rd rifle (this time it was a service rifle, not just training rifle) I disarmed it in lesser time then the person who won that episode… So life sometimes go wrong not just because we are not caliber of but to teach us never give up.

This teaches us one more lesson. We have lost 154 pilots ( well trained by air force ) due to MiG 21 planes designed in 1963 ( valve based electronics age ) and upgraded last in 1981 ( Age before Microprocessor like 8085 was launched ). Our political opposition should die with shame, when they can not procure state of art stuff. a Knife can rust, if not used . Defence equipments used seldom will fail as a probability.
