I have a b8.5 a4 ecs tunning Fmic and hard piping. Way better than stock if you're looking to do it. Also go fast bits divertor valve kit improved boosting. My next step is stage 2 IE tune.
Stage 2 is way more fun than stock

I haven’t got the exhaust done yet been working like crazy. I still have to install my ecs tuning hfc and downpipe also. Can’t wait until i get some time to get them done

I’ll probably take it to the shop bcuz I don’t have anywhere to do it and right now in my area the temps are in the 20’s

Nice but i didn’t do the crackle tune bcuz its still my daily and don’t wanna hear the pops all the time but u can always test it out n then take it off u want that’s the good part of tuning at home
How do you even get a crackle tune
It’s an option offered when you are tuning your car

Well without a larger intercooler for proper cooling if your constantly doing back to back pulls w/o letting the engine cool 1st the engine starts getting a lil too hot air intake temp gets too high then you lose some power and eventually you can destroy your engine especially if it’s hot outside. But driving the car normal is fine.
@@Yungdieseltv ah okay so doing the tune without upgrading the intercooler is fine as long as your not flogging it constantly and eventually get the upgraded intercooler, would love to see you do a tutorial/install video on the upgraded intercooler when you get it !! hey man, Ive got a 2014 audi A4 S line Quattro. Im running the 93 octane stage 2 crackle tune. I currently have my car equipped with the IE intake, IE Downpipe/midpipe, IE PCV/Catchcan kit. I was heat soaking like mad doing pulls, car got significantly slower after 3 runs, however those 3 runs I was able to pull 350HP and 400 TQ on the data logger function for the laptop when I ran a 25% E85 mix. I ordered the IE Intercooler yesterday but they're out of stock, I'm on back order... Up here in Canada homie, I'm most likely waiting months for one...
Nice numbers on a stock turbo but yeah that heat soak will getcha without the intercooler whenever i try to get buy mine something else always needs to b replaced but mine is coming soon any plans on taking it to the track
@@Yungdieseltv replaced turbo and turbo manifold with the IHI setup from turboparts Canada, its better than OE thats how you're able to get more out of the same motor. Yes I have full plans on tracking the car, just need some slotted and drilled rotors, bigger ceramics were not good enough. this spring, Maybe I will start youtube lol
Yeah i plan on going K04 and IE manifold and CAI only thing is mine is auto so maybe looking into manual swap or stick A4 or A5
@@Yungdieseltv k04 isn't worth the money over the power you get from a full stage 2. cars more reliable non ko4 anyway

You don’t need the intercooler tbh man. Your not racing it on a track so it’s not necessary. The car will be just fine without it.
Thanks for watching and yeah i spoke to ECS Tuning and they said as long as I’m not doing back to back pulls constantly the car will be ok but I like to drive my cars hard sometimes and would actually like to do autocross.

No the previous owner had the dealer change the motor in 2015

If you go stage 2 you have to replace the catalytic converter to hfc and downpipe or you can do full downpipe to erase the check engine light you can go stage 1 without the changing catalytic converter

Did you do eny mods to the engine, except the cat delete
Only other mods i did was cold air intake and GFB diverter valve but that was after the tune
Was a jumper pack enough to maintain the battery or did you need a actually battery charger?

I would recommend it the heat soak is crazy. I saw a video where the guy used an intercooler from an A6 3.0 because they’re bigger and cheaper than the stock A4. Not sure it would be enough so do your research
You running stock catalytic but gutted and stock exhaust? Just wondering if its good for long term to run with the gutted catalytic
Well i got an aftermarket cat and gutted it out still have the original cat just in case i wanted to go back to stock and its been fine no CEL bcuz the tune clears the code. Thanks for watching
Hey man, just one more thing. Did your check engine light come on eventually for the emissions after the stage 2 flash?
No it didn’t bcuz if you have a gutted cat or hfc its more air flow so the tune accounts for that and adjusts the ecu
@@Yungdieseltv ok, the reason I ask is. I have the IE cold air intake, and the IE 3” catted downpipe and just did the stage 1 tune. Drove like 12 miles and the emissions code came on P0420. So you thing with stage 2 it will be adjusted?
@@nizam03 stage 2 will erase the check engine light stage 1 tune is basically for stock cars

Yes you should upgrade the clutch n i don’t have 0-60 times but you can get a dragy performance meter and it will give you the times

Yes I did and you should bcuz you can brick the ecu if the battery dies.
Hey men do all this weird light appear in your dash after driving for days
Only light that comes on is the light when i turn the fog light on bcuz i have led lights in there.
How much was the tune? How noticeably was the power?
The tune and the cable was $650 the cable by itself is $150 and yeah you can feel the difference it has good low end torque.
seems like this only works on a certain type of vehicle! Does it work for any car?
Well integrated Engineering tunes are for VW and Audi models ECS Tuning has more tunes for other German models if you have a German vehicle hope I helped thanks for watching

Not onda engine it was changed in 2015

Idk the previous owner had the dealer change it but they only put the mileage that the car had which was 101k now its at 197k

Thanks for watching!!! For stage 1 you don’t need to change anything. Stage 2 u need a aftermarket downpipe or a high flow cat and downpipe. If you install the parts b4 the tune you will get a check engine light but the tune will erase it. And if your car is manual you will need an upgraded clutch for stage 2.

Yeah it would be better since u have all the parts + u won’t get a CEL if u go stage one you will just have to pay $$ again to go stage 2 and if you have manual transmission you have to upgrade the clutch
Hey how’s the car doing with the tune now? I want to go stage 1 but I’m iffy I have a 2013 Audi A4 with 105k miles idk if that’s risky to do I went to ACHTUNING when I had 98k and they told me not to do it.
My car is doing fine its my daily and I haven’t had any problem with the tune. Did they say why not to do it?

Ok understandable especially if it’s your daily mine is my daily and i just make sure it has oil and i don’t beat on it all the time so hopefully it doesn’t blow up fingers crossed.

No i have a integrated Engineering cold air intake installed

Well I don’t have an upgraded intercooler yet the car runs fine just can’t constantly do pulls the car never overheated not even in summer and I don’t have gauges yet to monitor the actual temps but i reached out to ECS tuning and they told me the car would b fine without the intercooler as long as I wasn’t doing constant back to back pulls. But i will get one to be on the safer side of things since it’s recommended

It was fine with the stock intake i just wanted better air flow and sound and it makes the engine bay look better

So what do you need to have for bolt ons
You need high flow cat, downpipe and aftermarket intercooler but I’ve also heard you can use the intercooler from a 3.0 bcuz its bigger than the stock 2.0. Also cold air intake and exhaust would also help.
Hey bro this might be a stupid question but since the check engine went away will it still pop up if the car comes out for a different issue ?
If the car has a different problem yeah the CEL comes on but shouldn’t come back on for the cat more likely the sensors if they need to be replaced

@@saraytinoco6291 when you go stage 2 its best to get an intercooler but u can drive the car without it. You just can’t do constant pulls back to back + the intercooler keeps the temps down and its better air flow. Thnx for watching

@@saraytinoco6291 well anytime your doing power upgrades the key thing is to do maintenance 1st. Change any weak parts that need to be changed bcuz adding more power will make them break even faster. Cars become less reliable when you’re adding big power on stock parts. Another thing to look for is adding more power to turbo cars you might get more oil consumption so that’s something to watch out for

Yeah it’s included with stage 2 and k04 tunes.

Yeah once you buy it it’s yours you can enable and disable just like you can go back to stock tune and retune at anytime
Hey bro I have a 2016 A4 b8.5 with a armytrix catback valvetronic exhaust system, would I still need to upgrade the Down pipe to go to stage 2? Also I have an APR cold air intake, is there anything else I would need to get?
When you upgrade the cat you have to upgrade to Stage 2 to erase the check engine light. Once you go stage 2 upgrade the intercooler bcuz it keeps the air intake temps down if you’re constantly racing the car.

Anyone else kinda disappointed with stage 2? Like the crackle isn’t that insane, I was expecting like ear drum explosive kinda pops
After stage 2 did you get a epc light on dash?
No I didn’t and have been driving the car ever since and not even a cel light
i got one after stage 1 my mechanic cant even get it to go away its wack
Did you try removing the tune to see if it would go away then reinstalling the tune or try contacting the the tuning company to see if they have any suggestions

What upgrade did you do for the exhaust/cat?
I had the shop gut the cat i bought an aftermarket one on ebay and gutted that one and kept the stock one in case i needed to go back to stock
@@Yungdieseltv oh okay. The reason I ask, I just had the IE cat/exhaust installed and doesn’t sound that loud, so I think I’m going to cut the resonator and straight pipe it. Thanks for the reply!

Do you have to retune it again with the software when u get the intercooler ?
No the computer should account for the extra air flow because technically when you tune those parts should already be on the car but if you’d like to retune to be sure then you can.
