Hi. Obviously you are still enjoying yourself. May I recommend that at the first opportunity you install roller reefing for the heads ail. You will be surprised how much more efficient the boat will be and a lot safer being single handed. You don't need to have sunprotection on the sail when adapting your existing heads ails. Easier to take them down when you stay somewhere for longer. Hereby you don't destroy the shape of the sail with a heavy thick cover along the leach and foot.

Now that is remote ! Only coralsands like the Maldives. Do they have no difficulty getting enough rain to provide them with drinkingwater ?

It is unbelievably remote. They collect rainwater in big black barrels. They seem to be ok.

I've been trying to think of a hammock design for the cockpit - I really like yours! Do you have any advice about how to make it most functional and strong based on your experience so far? I'm thinking I might lead two corners to my two cabin-top winches and the other two corners to my primary jib winches - with adjustable lengths so I can balance better when heeled to one side.
