I have no idea why the pictures at the end of todays video came out so bad, but I do apologize about that. If you want to get a really good before of the living room, the very beginning of the video also has before footage. So strange how those photos at the end came out, but than again technology...anything electronic, really doesn't like me, wait until you see the next video...oh geez we have a lot to go over! Hope you enjoy today's video, we luv & appreciate you so much! 🥰😘
Omgosh.. your Mom and those light sabers.. 😂😂😂 And, her look before you saw the fake bug. 😂😂 her sassy come backs 😂😂. And, your reactions to her. 😂😂😂😂 bet ya can't tell. I loved it.. But, on a serious note. Your Mom's love for your kids shows in her face. The way she knew where all the pieces went to what. The way she held the toys. Filled her memory with joy. Thanks for this awesome fun loving video.
Your mom seems so fun! I love how she is enjoying the kids toys just as much as the kids may have. She's such a natural beauty too. Love these videos from you Danielle. ❤️
Wow! Congratulations to your mom on regaining her living room space!! They must be ecstatic that you are helping them in this way! Thanks for sharing! Many blessings! ❤
They were so, so excited about this living room transformation, I think they forgot how nice it was to have an open space/fireplace. They love it! Thank you dear! I appreciate ya so much, many blessings to you and yours 🥰😘
One of these days I want to talk a little more about that too! Because I definitely see so many patterns in our family, I agree 100% and you are so sweet! I really appreciate that, thank you!
I’m at home recovering from surgery for a badly broken leg, after 7 weeks in hospital. No big story here, just a spectacular face-plant, lol. Your videos cheer me up! My sister and I had that same dollhouse and furniture in the 1960’s.
Oh cool! It’s a nice one! Sorry about your leg, though! I fell last year and managed not to have major injury (I sort of did a slo-mo spin to get off the concrete😂) but I hit the tendon in my elbow-it’s still hurting sometimes! Anyway, feel better soon! ♥️✌️
Your mom is doing so good in her decluttering journey. I had a thought about taking pictures of the things that are sentimental. In your case, the video on RUclips could take the place of a photo album for your mom. It’s something she can always go back and watch.
Sorry to be late -- what a wonderful transformation!! For the fireplace -- I love the idea of adding LED strip lighting (with seasonal color changes of course!) under the mantel. Add another LED strip to the top of the window frame too! And -- perhaps consider switching the TV/entertainment stand with the sofa -- and add short curtains or blinds to the bay window (and remove the longer curtains to make more visual space in the room). Then you could add a family gallery on the wall around the TV -- maybe re-do the photos in sepia (brown) tones to work with the cute family Western-style photo!
I was so glad to see your video now. I have been depressed because a friend of mine passed away. You and your mom are so funny together and it cheers me up! ❤
What a transformation. You can see how pretty the fireplace is now. I would love to know how she feels. I would think it has to have an effect on her. A good effect I hope. She must feel like, i guess I would explain it, that her mind is less cluttered. It’s so nice of you to help her and I love the way you guys interact. Your both fun people. These truly are memories that are priceless. Enjoy the day. ❤
Hi, Dani! Your mom is a kid at heart! I had a friend that had a doll house when I was a child and we loved playing with it. My daughter got a big wooden doll house from her grandmother when she was five years old and she loved hers. Then when miniatures became popular, my mom and I collected lots of miniatures, some of which I still have. We never got around to making the Victorian doll house kit which I sold after my mom past away. I know what she was going thru. You can’t keep everything! I saved baby moccasins my first husband bought for my daughter before she was born and made a shadow box of his things after he died so she would remember him. She was 2 yrs old when he died. Loved your video and your mom! She’s getting more comfortable in front of the camera! Yeah, mom!🥰👍💜
This comment has me emotional, I seriously cannot imagine how difficult that was, I'm giving you the biggest virtual hug. How special that shadow box must be, that would be something I would treasure forever. You are 💯 you can't keep everything but there are some things that you just can't part with and the things near and dear to your heart, I don't think you should part with. Victorian houses are MY FAVORITE houses, I always wanted to have one, like a real one lol there beautiful! I don't think I could handle that much house though ha! My moms doll house is pretty dang cool, Zoey loves it too, Zoey has a lot of doll houses, but there's only 1 she'll never part with, I totally get it too. Always so happy to see you here with me friend. Lots of luv 🥰😘
Lol.. I could see my mom buying a trunk and filing it with toys and holding onto it until my kids were 31...heck I probably will too, maybe not a trunk full though 🤣 sometimes there's just some things you can't part with, I say if it's special and near and dear to your heart, keep it. Besides it can be fun to look back at that stuff sometimes. Thanks for watching and being here with us. 🥰🥰
I would LOVE to have a dollhouse like that. especially with the furniture!!! there are so many of my childhood toys that I sold as a teenager that I deeply regret and can't get ahold of anymore. Now as an adult with an interest in miniatures and architecture -especially midcentury- that dollhouse is incredible!
I love that video. It reminds me of me and my mom when we were decluttering a while back.. The ending cuts were so sweet and one day they will be a cherished memory.
They have toys in the wood box. Mother had boxes of newspapers hidden in there. We discovered it when we were cleaning out after they passed. Daddy's baby shoes were in there, in a box of sentimental cards and letters! I think I know the reason why the newspapers were in there, which is a reasonable one, but it was still a lot to deal with in one space. Oooo....Idea! Instead of the Christmas lights on the mantel, install LED strip lighting around the mantel. It's would shine up the brick and down under the mantel at the brick and.....wait for it....SHE COULD CHANGE THE COLORS TO MATCH THE SEASON! Or her hand towels. For that little bit it wouldn't cost much at all.
That must have been really difficult dear, I'm so sorry. Sending you lots of luv. It's not easy going through all that, it is nice to reminisce, go down memory lane, but it can also be really hard. That sort of stuff , sentimental stuff is incredibly hard for me to let go of. I'm still working on that. Omg that is a brilliant idea, led light/strip ("and wait for it" lol love it) how cool would that be changing the lights per the season. That is such a great idea, and much better than the Christmas lights 🤣 I'll definitely mention that to her. Thank you so much for watching and being here with me dear, I appreciate ya so much 🥰
YAY!!! I cant wait for you to watch this, its a quick video (well quick for me HA!) not sure how i feel about these shorter videos, but its always so much fun decluttering with my mom! Lots of luv 🥰
Loved this video~ I think I'm the one who gave you the picture idea so let me elaborate by saying that none of these pictures are in albums nor have I even printed any out. I took the pics from my phone and made a digital album on my computer titled: The Johnson Estate and I dumped all the photos in there. I am not printing or making albums either, but I can open that file and look at everything I was able to get rid of and see my mom's old childhood desk again or the grandfather clock ( the onne thing I regret getting rid of but not enough to lose sleep over) and see how much stuff I would have had to try and work into my current lifestyle. It seldom sparks a sad nostalgia anymore, but instead, a sense of pride of accomplishment and a fond memory. So don't let the inability to print and make photo albums keep you from taking pictures. Digital memories are just as good. This was a nostalgic video for me to watch because when we moved to a condo 12 years aoo we had several estate sales at our house from my own crap that I couldn't get rid of before, As those Fisher Price toys came out I remembered how I was able to let go of all of those at our garage sale - and my kids were in their 40's then, so I had memories of both children and grandchildren playing with those. I had a big plastic milk can - the size of a real old fashioned milk can = full of little people. I just know that they reproduced under the sofa at night. The boys let go of their Hot Wheels and it was all good. I'm not sure but we may have kept a Tupperware bread box of Legos because the boys in their 50's will still sit at the dining room table and play with those. Yeah, guys are like that, they never grow up. Get ready for that~ I think Lucas looks a lot like your brother just from the brief glimpses I've seen. I love it how the grandkids and grandma teamed up against mom to lobby for keeping certain things. Gave me a good old LOL today. Thanks. I needed that!
Danni, another great decluttering session with your Mom. The after picture was so satisfying to see. I'm glad that your parents are so thrilled. Cheers
Another idea. I have a Pinterest board of things I use to have or remember from a time all in one place. It’s neat to look back and also see so many other people had what you had too 😊
What a fantastic transformation! So nice & cosy living room! Love to watch your videos, so much fun! You seems to have a really good time together every time, you and your Mom! ❤
Hi Danni, this video was so much fun to watch! 😄 Your mom isn't that camera shy anymore and you made such amazing job together in there! Wow! The before and after pictures are so satisfying. 🤩 I really admire the way you keep going on and on and on. As always, love from Finland! 😍
YAY!!! Love hearing that! Always so HAPPY to see you here with me friend! Hope you enjoy todays video...its a quicker video than im used to...not sure how I feel about this shorter videos, I think my next one needs to be a long one HA 🥰🥰
Good for your mother! I’m 63 and if I had a doll house that I got when I was young, I would never get rid of it. I would find a special place that I could set it up and see it every day.
I love it when you and you mum get together to declutter❤. She seems like lots of fun and really loves her grands. What are you going to do when you are "done" in her house?
It's gonna be really hard when I'm done at my parents house because these videos are the most fun 🤣 hmmm maybe I could clean over there or ooooh maybe makeovers that would be so fun! There's always videos to do over at my place 🤣 thanks for watching and being here with me dear lots of luv 🥰🥰
I'm keeping my sons' baby mobile for their children and my cot also as my daddy made it....its 41 year old yes❤ has been used for four generations, repainted etc and can be a day bed too used guard sits comfortably under cot mattress 😊
The results are amazing! Your mom did so good, my mom is struggling with getting rid of stuff...hopefully soon I can help encourage her with it. Thank you for the inspiration 😊
I know this is an old video but I have to share…. I could tangibly feel what I think your mom was feeling with the toys. My kids just started college and have wanted to erase their childhood “things” from existence but I keep the toys and baseball jerseys and artwork. I experience memories from touch-photos don’t do it, and I have a poor memory. Touching an item brings back every detail of a period in my life that I love re-experiencing. I’m not “ old” but my parents are both dead now and I hate thinking about the end of my own life so I like to live in the past sometimes. When our homes no longer have any voices in them but our own, and there’s no trace of children or a life well lived(stuff) it’s like we are already dead before our time. I will never be a minimalist and each time I’m in a home of someone who is-no trace of love, personality, wear, or age-I feel sorry for them because it feels like a picture in a book with no love in it. ❤I have to tell you how much I love these videos with your mom-I’ve cried through many, my own mom died when I was 15 and you two are magic to watch. Thank you.❤
Love watching you guys! At the beginning, I didn't think mom was going to let go of much. She kept saying "keep that. " then she really got into it! Great job!!!! Which room is next? Can't wait!
I thought the same thing, I did not expect her to let go of as much as she did. I think once she actually started to see the fireplace clearing out I think she started to remember what that space actually looks like without the toys and I think that motivated her LOL I noticed she had a really difficult time letting go of the games, I think that was the one thing she kept the most of. Good question, I would really love to finish decluttering her bedroom you guys have only seen the one closet in my parents room, but there's a lot of stuff in there bedroom and the other closet in there bedroom, I'd love to clear out that room for her, but I don't think she's ready for that area. The kitchen still has a lot more work to do, but I think we're going to hold off on that. The basement there's a lot more work to do down there and there's a lot more work to do upstairs 🤣 so I guess I don't know where we're going to go to next I do think we should finish the bedrooms upstairs, but also work on the entryway closet? Thanks so much for watching and being here with us we appreciate ya so much 🥰🥰
Wow!!! This is sooo good and really difficult to do as it’s all sentimental… your Mom did great!! I am impressed! I need to do this with my mom and with my kids stuff 😢thanks for sharing❤
OMG I almost started crying - I had the same dollhouse and the SAME plastic appliances - loved that thing but thru all the moves we had to make it got lost or destroyed or something....that was a nice walk down memory lane....♥
Oh no 🥺 I'm so sorry that happened to you. My mom will never part with that doll house and I can see why, it is so dang cool. I love that doll house. Glad you could head down memory lane with us, we are so happy you're here with us. Lots of luv 🥰😘
Awww your mom is such a kid at heart! I love how the roles are reversed and you're acting like the parent to keep her on track while decluttering her toys. 😆🤣
Your mum is getting so good at letting things go now with your help, Danni. Your mum and you together are so much fun too. I think the living room and fireplace really were so nice and tidy after all your decluttering. Well done both of you.
I live how Robyn starts out on the periphery of the camera line snd ends up in the middle. It seemed to be easier to let the toys go when she knew they were going to another child.
My family has a picture like that from South Dakota too! 😂 I wonder if toys on the fireplace is a MidWest thing? Every time my niece and nephews visit, that’s where we put their toys. 😂
Wow, your Mom did great getting rid of all that stuff. Congratulations Mom, good job. That living room looks fantastic. That is the biggest transformation in their house yet. Hugs xoxo
I have a suspicion that your Mom likes playing with some of those as much as the kids do😂. No shade! But some kids are going to get them and have fun! And that is beautiful! Heck I don’t have grandkids-but we have a Light Saber each!😂😂 If you get into your PARENTS old toys though-be careful! Some stuff has actual monetary value. Tonka metal toys is one. It’s strange the things people collect-I found my old Wendy’s apron and my name tag and badges-on a whim I looked it up and about fainted when I saw the value! I love the western photo! That is definitely a keeper! (I thought you looked so serious, then I thought I’d have been mad I didn’t get boots, hat, and guns, lol). The room looks great! And you two are funny! Thank you for sharing that with us!♥️✌️
I hope your mom knows how much this will help, and less dust for breathing better. My sisters had this same dollhouse. We enjoyed it for many years. It looks so lovely now. It would be best to have boundaries of how much you can have in the house with your kids. They didn't need more Legos.
You and your mom crack me up!! She was a little feisty with those Star Wars Sabers! 😂😂 But what a difference it made to the room! What you said about taking the time to take photos of something and put them into an album (that no one will really look at, right?) or clothes that are not boxed up for safe keeping makes so much sense. Why are we keeping it? Where are we keeping it? Is it going to sit in the box so we can pull it out on another decluttering round, to again ask ourselves why? That one hit me like a ton of bricks (or should I say a stubbed toe? 😂) In going through my belongings, when I put things into a storage tote, I am asking myself why…if I am only going to put it in a tote, not use it or display it, why am I keeping it??? I’ve allowed myself to keep one tote of memories, holiday decor, seasonal items and rotating home decor because I will see this stuff at various times throughout the year. The rest of the stuff needs to go! I will only have photos and paperwork to go through to finish off this current round of decluttering.
The dollhouse is a collectors item. My mother has hers and she never tried to sell it even though she had an antique shop. I would handle it with care.
Hey girl, you and your mom make a great team!!! So good to see you guys. Her living room looks amazing with all the toys gone!!! I have something to share with you. Since you don't have your IG right now this is the only place I can tell you what is going on. I absolutely love making videos for RUclips. However, I've run into a major hick up. I'm filming on my phone, it's an Android. I became very comfortable with the editing app I was using it's called Vidma. I have been trying to purchase a subscription on Vidma because the free portion is not working for me to export to RUclips. It keeps failing. So I thought well if I pay for a subscription on it then I could use it. That's where the hick up comes in. I downloaded the app from Google play store. So when I went to go purchase it, it said I needed to verify my credit card. No prob, I put the code in and it was verified. I thought okay now I can pay for the subscription. Nope. Google play is blocking it!!! I've been dealing with this for two weeks!!! Long story short, lol I called google sat two freaking hours waiting on an agent, finally get an agent after a two hour wait, I tell her google won't accept my payment and my credit card already approved it. She said hang on while I transfer you to another department, okay then it went to an automated voice thing, it told me to go to Google support (which I already have done) then hung up on me. I called google back to talk to an agent and it went to an automated voice again. I think they are closed now!!!!!! But yeah so the video editor app I had been using won't work and Google won't accept my payment. So now I'm using a completely different video editor (free version) until I can get Google play store to work out. That was a mouthful.
Loved the video! To get stickers off the fireplace glass, I've heard you can rub mayonnaise into the sticky area and let it sit for a while, and it will come off. It's worth a try. :)
You two had me laughing so hard! Mudder for Mother, Cran for Cray On😅 I get such a kick out of your accent and certain pronunciations! You are so fun and wonderful.
Your mom is getting better at decluttering and being in front of the camera. You two are a lot of fun to watch.
Omg yes , she used to whine before 😂not in a bad way, and now she’s more like oh what the heck
I have no idea why the pictures at the end of todays video came out so bad, but I do apologize about that. If you want to get a really good before of the living room, the very beginning of the video also has before footage. No, they were fine, I am stunned by the difference!
Omgosh.. your Mom and those light sabers.. 😂😂😂 And, her look before you saw the fake bug. 😂😂 her sassy come backs 😂😂. And, your reactions to her. 😂😂😂😂 bet ya can't tell. I loved it..

They were so, so excited about this living room transformation, I think they forgot how nice it was to have an open space/fireplace. They love it! Thank you dear! I appreciate ya so much, many blessings to you and yours 🥰😘
Hoarding can be generational. Dani, I give you so many props for trying so hard to fix this.
One of these days I want to talk a little more about that too! Because I definitely see so many patterns in our family, I agree 100% and you are so sweet! I really appreciate that, thank you!

Sorry about your leg, though! I fell last year and managed not to have major injury (I sort of did a slo-mo spin to get off the concrete😂) but I hit the tendon in my elbow-it’s still hurting sometimes!

Your mom is doing so good in her decluttering journey. I had a thought about taking pictures of the things that are sentimental. In your case, the video on RUclips could take the place of a photo album for your mom. It’s something she can always go back and watch.
I was thinking that too, plus it will be so nice for Dani’s kids to have when they grow up!

Awesome. Your mom is hysterical. Loved this.
"I am your mother" and her dual wield had me in stitches...and then came the multi-wield 😂
I was so glad to see your video now. I have been depressed because a friend of mine passed away. You and your mom are so funny together and it cheers me up! ❤
Your mom was in such a good mood in this video.I always enjoy you guys together.I look forward to seeing your that you posted ❤❤❤❤
I can't with your mom, she's such a delight😂 and the two of you together simply make my day. What a transformation❤ thank you so, so much!
You always make me laugh! Especially the videos with your mom.
Your mom has the best sense of humor. She cracks me up everytime! lol
This fireplace is absolutely gorgeous! It' s so cool that it is much better visible now
Their room looks great! I decluttered 30 items from my desk while I was watching. Thanks again for all you do. Hugs. 😊🐦
Love declutters!

Love love it !!! Best part of my day 👏👏👏! You and your mom are so fun ☺️🤍.
Robyn was able to do this area so fast I’m glad her decluttering muscle is working so well now. Love the fun you two have. ❤
Hi Danni gosh your mom is doing so well what a lovely transformation she is doing to her home the living room turned out beautiful well done ❤
I like the doll house, too! It is gorgeous 💖💖

YAY!!! Love hearing that! Always so HAPPY to see you here with me friend! Hope you enjoy todays video...its a quicker video than im used to...not sure how I feel about this shorter videos, I think my next one needs to be a long one HA 🥰🥰
You won't hear any complaints from me if you do!
Your mom seems so funny and lovely 🥰
The results are amazing! Your mom did so good, my mom is struggling with getting rid of stuff...hopefully soon I can help encourage her with it. Thank you for the inspiration 😊
I have festival bags in my house for recycling too!
Thanks so much for watching and being here with us we appreciate ya so much 🥰🥰
I would love to have that dollhouse!! 😍
So fun watching you and your mom!
Your mom is a Jedi 😂- oh no what did you do to the washer /dryer ? 😂
Hi Danni and Robin! 💜💜💜
Hi friend! 🥰🥰😘
looks so much better !!! Funny as always
Woooow! A very good job! 👏👏👏
Wow! Amazing!
Danni your mum did not buy the light savers for the grandkids that's an excuse but one I can associate with she feels the force xx
The doll house with the furniture is worth money! Your mom should keep it!
Gotta love your mom 😂❤
😂 I am your motha! Loved the lightsaber humor ❤ well done you two
I live how Robyn starts out on the periphery of the camera line snd ends up in the middle. It seemed to be easier to let the toys go when she knew they were going to another child.
Loved this one. The room looked amazing afterwards. X
Brilliant transformation. Best one yet for your mums house.
Good job Mum!❤🇨🇦
Big difference ❤
wow yall got rid of alot.. I know that made yall both happy! Thank you for sharing
Make sure the doll house furniture goes into a sealable bin. Keeps bugs, water, and mice out.
My family has a picture like that from South Dakota too! 😂
I wonder if toys on the fireplace is a MidWest thing? Every time my niece and nephews visit, that’s where we put their toys. 😂
😂 now I know where you get your humor. Your mother is priceless
Wow, your Mom did great getting rid of all that stuff. Congratulations Mom, good job. That living room looks fantastic. That is the biggest transformation in their house yet. Hugs xoxo
girl! you can never have too many legos! plus I would leave a small box of them at grandma's to play with. that's a nice contained amount.
Hey Danni! I'm here, little late lol I am so excited to watch this!
Great work; your Mom is doing a great job!
Great video ❤️👏🏼
Thank you for sharing that with us!♥️✌️
Fun video & seems like your mom had the most fun 😀😉
Hi friend! So excited to see a new video!!
Hey friend! 🥰🥰😘
Your mother is actually funny. Thats nice. I suggest, she likes playing with the Kids. ❤
The dollhouse is a collectors item. My mother has hers and she never tried to sell it even though she had an antique shop. I would handle it with care.
I lost is so badly at lightsaber part. Ended up whipping hot chocolate from my desk. 🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣
You two are so cute! Love Mom's lightsaber fight! I'm not a grandma yet but i do have some things set back to keep from when boys were little.
An tes q todo esa casa esta hermosa con esas chimeneas se miran antiguas ,yo amo todo lo antiguo saludos 🤗 💕
Those Christmas lights on the mantle really need to come down.
Ihr Beiden seid so köstlich zusammen 😊
I try to keep less sentiment items, but the ones I keep, I display them nicely. So 99% of my decor are sentimental items I bought on vacations 😊
‘You can take it up to the cabin’ - your face 😂 There’s no way that was making it up to the cabin 😂😂
Fantastic
