- Welcome to the ultimate attic declutter and I know...this isn't my first attempt at decluttering my attic. But this is my biggest attic declutter and organisation yet. You know I love decluttering and organizing and this time I'm going at it for 10 hours to show the my decluttering before and after. Slowly but surely I'm getting closer to that more minimalist lifestyle!

I held on to mine after my engagement for about 5 years, then threw the contents in the garbage when purging for a move. I have always regretted it!
7 years after the break-up, he reached out to me and we eventually became friends..... Then he was killed in an accident. I have wished for that box of letters ever since.

I hear you on yarn!! I have 12 totes of it!!!
I used to sell on line, but closed my online shop in 2017, after 9 years of having an online shop. The totes are organized & labeled by fabric content & color, but take up a lot of space. I am moving next month & will have to go through everything in the attic 🤦
It’s so hard to get rid of that stuff! I see it and all I can think about is what I can make from it all. Good luck with the move. Stay strong! 🙈

But what is it you are keeping - is it all needed?
Christmas decorations, Halloween decorations, stuff from my old apartments that I’ll need when I move, and some sentimental items/ momentos. I think it looks like a lot because the space is quite small
Your local nursery will probably take all of the scrap fabrics you want to get rid of or like random buttons etc. when my grannny went to a home she was a seamstress/hoarder and we reduced the waste insanely by donating to oaps and nursery’s .. ok I’ll continue watching and give more unsolicited advise soon
I also want to drink wine when opening my ex box.. you’re on the right track though - you are allowed to remember the happy times as long as you remember why it ended (I say this as a relationship relapser)😂

People say to label things, I think you need to have some sort of chaos .. also I bought a house 2 years ago, my cousin stood on the stair railing to see in the loft - then he said “good it’s insulated” and I’ve never been in it again since..

Get rid of all plastic bags in the attic. It quickly breaks down into flakes.
