A general thought ... a friend of mine made individual memory quilts for her kids. Instead of keeping heaps. Included pieces from blankets or PJs or things that were tatered. By this idea, you could make a quilt of your travelled memories, which you could hang on the wall or cover up with when you need a cuddle! A small amount of material is needed so this would rid you of bulk....
I love watching you de clutter I found your channel a few years ago now when I was trying to de clutter my drawers and wardrobe. You were do the Marie condo method, I’ve tried to live by this method but what I’ve found is I have lovely neat drawers full of clothes that I never wear 🤦♀️. There are clothes I folded 4 years ago and they are still folded in the same position. So I now need help to let these things go. Can I ask where are your jeans that you are wearing from, they look nice high waisted and just the colour blue I’m looking for. X
Thank you! It’s hard to let go of things. I think it gets easier the more you do it but it’s definitely not easy! The jeans are from New Look. I think they’re called the Emilie Jeggings. They’re really comfy!
Cardigans are my favourite item of clothing but, if I've mended something a few times and it gets another hole, I get rid of it. Something everyone should have is a memory bin where you can put a few select items of clothing that you'd never wear but have sentimental value. Either that or just take a photo and let it go. Everything in your closet should be a valid option (flattering fit, right style) for you to wear.
It would be really great to see your Vinted selling process. Also to understand how much you make selling on vinted impacts your budgeting spreadsheet etc 😊
For being a woman I don't have many clothes. The thing is a lot still does not get regulary used. I wake up start my work laptop while feeding the cats and just start working. I stay in my pj's all day and go back to bed wearing the same thing. It's problematic. My sleepwear is just some sleeping shorts and a random shirt I like to sleep in so not even the clothes I love love wearing. Now I am getting everything together and accomplishing almost everything I've ever wanted I can actually focus on creating healthy habits.
Great job decluttering!! I did the same earlier this year and was so proud of myself and proceeded to purchase more clothes!! Like you, I have a great wardrobe that does not match my Netflix and cuddles with my pup on the sofa lifestyle🤣Dresses are my weakness and Crew Clothing is the evil temptress of beautiful dresses.
Your body shape is similar to mine and I discovered Beyond Yoga brand stuff. They have amazing high waisted bottoms that don't fall down. Highly recommend.
I have been thinking that I need to do this as well. I tried the method where you put everything in a pile this past summer and I was so overwhelmed that I didn’t do a very good job. I had it in the guest room almost all summer because I got to the point where I would just shut down and stare at the clothes for an hour without making any decisions.
The Konmari method is horrible if it's the first time decluttering your wardrobe. Mine is fairly minimal now and I still wouldn't put myself through that.
Thanks for saying this! I have tried it twice now and it never has worked for me. I was just figuring that something was wrong with ME since it seemed like it works great for everyone else! @@jennyjenkins877
I’m so over it. I’ve done it half a dozen times now and it always makes me want to cry 🙈 It’s too overwhelming. Breaking it up into smaller categories was definitely easier and more effective
When I live a piece of clothing and it starts falling apart like what happen to your cardigan I just look for it again on bunted and rebuy it ! If you love it that much maybe you could find it again ! I've done that quite a few times before !!!
I’ve done with with shoes that were really comfy and it’s great! It’s hard to find comfy shoes so I just want to rebuy the same pair for as long as I live! 🤣
I recently made the decision to get rid of some things that I love and wore all the time because I knew they didn’t look very nice or aren’t the person I want to be! Like with that dress that is too long, I did jumpers and dresses!

That’s such a cute idea! I love it ☺️

I think that’s a wonderful idea! 🤩

I'm mostly winging it but I can definitely share what I do in a video 😄

It’s so hard when you work from home because there’s no incentive to get dressed. I totally feel that!

I’m glad it’s not just me!! 🤣🙈

Thank you so much! I'm going to take a look right now

Yep. I know that it is supposed to be shocking and overwhelming but for me the overwhelm only led to shutdown.@@AimeeRebecca
I find it so overwhelming too. It’s took me until 34 to realise that I can do small jobs when I have time rather than spend a day on a big job.

It’s so hard but it’s so worth it. I’m sick of things taking up space when I can’t wear them
This video killlllled me 😂 I just wanted to pry it all from your hands and throw it out lol. You need to be more ruthless in your declutters
😂 It's fine! I did a bigger declutter back in the summer so this was just a little top up. Now I just own things I really love wearing.
Keep the cardigan. You’re breaking my heart
Hi aimee, have you kept track on how many clothes you brought into your home and how many you decluttered? I do keep track of everything 🙈
I haven’t but that’s a great idea! 🤩
Thanks for this video I have to do the same thing. 😢
You can do it! 🤩
