this was a very different video for me so I hope you find as much enjoyment in watching it as I did in creating it. i'm considering starting a membership program so if you're interested or hate it, head to the community tab on my profile to vote on what you would like to see!
Please make a video showing your creative design process! From coming up with an idea, all the way to bringing it alive and using it in the world. I would love to see that and I don't think I'm alone!
This was a work of art, scott. The videography, the music, and everything just flows together perfectly! Whenever I edit, I always look back at your videos for the transitions, camera angles, and everything. You're going places, scott. And I can't wait to see where :)
Watching such finely curated, carefully crafted, and labor-intensive videos gives one the courage to pursue their own endeavors. Thank you Scott and the team.
Just imagine what this man could do with a huge budget, he already makes the best videos but with more budget he would be able to use his creativity to the max ❤
Sometimes a large budget can limit your creativity of having to trouble shoot to keep things cheap! I’m excited for when he does have more money Is able to spend more time on JUST making videos.
As someone that has a lot of difficulties making decisions right now I understand how nice it would be to just push a button for the instant gratification of knowing what to do. But after all, I think asking yourself a question and pushing the butten might work to break you out of a cycle of indecisiveness so that could already be a game changer! Also loved the video, the pacing ws phenomenal, 9minutes went by in a breeze!
The 3 shots at 5:11 of your skull scan, the stl scan, then the 3d print blew my mind that was perfect 😍 Your videos, as a maker, are inspiring! Even if I wasn’t a maker, they’re amazing and entertaining to watch! I wish they were longer ☺️
The synchronization between philosophy, tech, and cinematic was beautiful in this! Loved watching it, hope you can keep up the passion to keep moving forward!
I liked *EVERYTHING* about this video but the aspect ratio change during the sponsored segment really stood out to me 😎 it gave an old 80s-90s commercial vibe, such a clear indication of an ad. So creative!
I literally cried in the first 20 seconds, its literally the perfect representation of when you have so much ideas in your head that is impossible to sleep. I loved it (truly).
The sheer work that does into each one of these videos is astounding and inspiring. Even the 28 hours it took to learn the software alone is work the video and I'm surmising this production was at least twice that in total. Great job as usual Scott. - Curt
A Netflix style docu-video like this representing the randomness of life is incredible, not making decisions for your self but your voice making decisions for you is livid, another work of art, thanks Scott!
Your work is simply astounding. I really enjoy the flow and pace of your edits. The sheer amount of details, unexpected shots, seamless transitions, and Easter eggs like the one at 3:23 😄 take these videos to another level. Thanks for sharing!
Scott, The sheer brilliance of this video, from the intention, the concept, down to execution and production, is on another level! Cannot praise highly enough of the amazing work you are putting out lately.
Watching this is like a work of art, from the story, cinematography, the creativity, the collaboration. You are taking things in a very uniquely creative view. It was a real pleasure to watch. Contents like these are a rare gem among all the generic content that has been filling youtube.
As a fellow editor, I kept noticing how you took the time to set up so many additional shots to sell the movement / action of what you were doing in each scene, and it added so much to the video. Then you showed us the rig you captured some of these shots with at the end! Not sure what YT Studio is telling you on day 2, but this video was one of my favorites of the year.
Im a relatively young guy, 21 and pushing trough and you've been one of my greatest inspirations in the few months I've known you since getting a 3D printer. Lately I was struggling with the same problem, and I currently am honestly, so this video was a funny coincidence. But then you told the dentist story and I was blown away, I too scheduled an appointment in a few days and when they mentioned the 3D scans i too asked to have the file to print (I also helped them with a minor software issue on their printer which was funny lol). All this to say that all the randomness and probability in life led me to live a similar experience although a little later than someone i have no correlation with, even in the most weird moments of my life I'm not the first one to go through the same thing and probably won't be the last. Having said this I'm stil stuck between my choices, but at least I know that whatever I may do, there will be others that already know the way and some I will be able to help with their own journey. Thank you.
Not only was this video super relatable, but again you've found a creative solution to another one of life's endless problems. I'm really impressed by the depth of this story and build. I had to watch it a second time to catch some details. Those emails got me, haha. Hope the dental work all went well man. oh side note - @5:24 I think you've unlocked a new 3D printed chiropractic ASMR niche 😂
Your production quality is off the charts man. I love going back and watching your videos when I get the chance, its just satisfying. And your ability to be creative is awesome.
This is astonishing. The project itself is really cool, but the story, the cinematography, the everything... That was really wonderful. I think it could've been an interesting effect if you had finished the video at 6:22 with that little scoff. I do appreciate everything you said after it though, I just think it would've been an impactful moment.
This video, sitting here at 1am, taking a break from calculus, aswell as that penetrating constant thought of where I'm going to next take a step with my content creation... including the mix of my school, my passion, or my responsibility, my brain can't think right now. I watched, and rewatched, over and over again as I saw something come to life that I didnt think was possible, but even more what I never even cared to consider. Its hard to articulate how this video made me feel, but from constantly consuming content in my day-to-day, nothing has really impacted me recently as much as this just did. This is more than a standard, but rather a goal to achieve. I cant stop smiling right now, this video is truly mind blowing, and an inspiration. Thank you.
Scott, I've followed you for years and I even have my own kitted out ender 3 pro thanks to you. As well, I am now part of a videography team and am going to compete in May as your work has inspired me. Thanks for everything.
The truth is that this type of videos, shots, transitions, angles, lights and other details makes me remember Casey Neistat from a few years ago when he did daily blogs, the attention to detail you have is spectacular, I always leave me wanting to see more, 9 minute videos leave me eager for the next one! I hope you continue like this, the quality of absolutely everything is spectacular!
This is for real the best video I have seen in the last 6 months. Your work is amazing and inspiring. Every time you post I get a burst of inspiration Thank you for your hard work and dedication to what looks to be anything and everything you do. The sky is your limit best wishes.
As a dentist that uses 3d printers and is very into tech and RUclips. This was great to see! Decision-making, over-thinking etc. comes with every job. Sometimes it's hard because we're perfectionists in some way, or optimizers instead of satisficers. It's not easy to break this habit, sometimes you have to satisfy this habit in small ways, and not let it take such a strong hold. Sometimes it's about feeling safe in the decision, so what are you afraid of?
Scott honestly you are killing it. I've followed you for a long while now. When I get notified that you have a video I always have to check it out. You can tell that you put in a lot of time and effort into them. Thanks for creating the content!!!
This really reminds me of something I read a while back. When you meet a decision you are having trouble making, flip a coin, not to let the coin determine your outcome. But in that split second its in the air you'll know what you wish for it to be.
I’ve never in a million years thought I’d be this mindblown by someone’s trip to the orthodontist 😂 but truly this video is a work of art with a great underlying message. Loved it
Industrial and IxD designer myself here. I stumbled upon your content recently (algorithmically lucky) and I just wanted to send some love and admiration from New Zealand. Your comms style and visual decision-making is an absolute killer combo. I'm wishing and rooting for nothing but the best for you mate. Cheers for sharing your insights and art. You're sick as. Ka Pai !!
Omg your editing is so amazing, clean and satisfying. Also very interesting video, especially for someone like me who struggles with decisions making too.
Completely understand the struggle of uncertainty and importance of decision making. The only way I reduce that feeling is to provide a structure around it in the form of systems and defining potential worst/best case outcomes. Sometimes taking those impulsive actions and adapting to it works to, since its all a part of life.
Bro you are a talented designer with a successful youtube channel. You live in a luxury apartment building. You are self-employed and get to do whatever you want all day. You really don't need to stress about your career, because it seems to be going extremely well.
Hey Google.. Notify me when Scott Yu-Jan posts anything... IMMEDIATELY! This is the only channel that keeps up with Fortnine when it comes to creativity imo. Just great!
I truly hope that you continue on your youtube journey. Your videos are one of the most anticipated videos I look forward to watching everytime you post. There are so many creatives on youtube who have made my life better be it through teaching me a skill, explaining a concept, being entertaining or inspiring me to do something myself. You are one of those rare individuals who possess all of the above. Your videos are heartfelt, inspiring, informative and done with a flair that puts you on a tier that has very few peers. I know how difficult and tumultuous life can be at that young adult stage and I dealt with a long period of depression when I turned 30 dealing with the dissolution of a long term relationship, and a general lack of direction in my life. I wish you the best on your journey. Cool project and as they always say, two heads are better than one.
absolutely loved the story telling in the video. the subtle foreshadowing and changes to the aspect ratio at different portions were all so good, i was hooked the whole time
Every video you create is incredibly high quality. You are the only RUclipsr where I don't rush through the sponsor because even that is captivating. And a like ratio above 10% on your video? you are creating wonders!
I have recently lost a friend which showed me your videos and discussed design essentials based on it. Now, a couple months later, i am getting ready to kickstart my own freelancing gig, having similar issues with decisions and resorting to distract myself, stumbling onto this video. Beautifully put together video, very nice to see and hear you talking about these. Never thought i felt grateful for a video but i think i kinda do a ... little bit. ps: gonna get myself some dentures soon-ish, definitely stealing my skull STL and causing mischief with it. Thanks for the inspiration :)
hey there scott, i’ve been following your videos for quite a while now and after watching this it made me realise im not the only person who deals with the this day to day issue of being unable to decided what to do and when to do it. i always try to do so much in such little time and when i run out of time i end up being disappointed/fed up when i have projects and tasks that i haven’t brought myself to do. trying to get things on the right track is hard, but knowing im not the only one leaves me at ease :) fantastic video as always, keep doing what you do best, and take care of yourself!

Absolute 🔥 Scott! Everything in this video was awesome, the story, the videography, the music, and you still managed to incorporate your creative niche, and somehow add in a sponsor?! You're the man! More like this please!
Wait what, I just started octolapse, but after tried and error, I realized the timelapse of the skull is both moving side to side as well, like freaking how? Your video always blew my mind. Keep up the work man, as always.
Your videos are absolutely insane!! Each one scale even higher than the other, from your 3D prints ideas and design, to the way you think, film and edit all these... It's a work of art, a real cinematographic experience! Thank you for bringing us such quality content!
Dude that video was amazing, You are gonna get far bro, There is just something about these videos that punch at a deeper angle than other content. Keep up the good work and do not struggle with decisions in life. I just thought of something of course this video is incredible in an artistic sense - the concepts, the editing, the storytelling but what I just realized is how well you must know your art, because you crafted it to be flashy in the particular way that film (videography? idk) noobs could appreciate to be subtle. the balance between 'holy shit that's sick' and continuing to tell the actual story is incredible
Sometimes you watch a video and think "how is this a video on youtube". My guy you are a world class director in the making. amazing video in all aspects.
You Are a Inspiring Person and you turn your weaknesses to your strengths are your'e really good at it! I want to thank your parents, they should be proud. dude the amount of cuts and different viewing angles, not to mention the skill off combining all of that in smooth manner. Great piece of work.

fantastic video as always, keep doing what you do best, and take care of yourself!
Seriously one of the best creators in this platform. It's always an instant watch for me.
Wow. This is what’s we engineers have to deal with on a regular basis. Our need to make the best decision at all times is what drives us. Excellent video!
As someone that has a lot of difficulties making decisions right now I understand how nice it would be to just push a button for the instant gratification of knowing what to do. But after all, I think asking yourself a question and pushing the butten might work to break you out of a cycle of indecisiveness so that could already be a game changer! This was a work of art, scott. The videography, the music, and everything just flows together perfectly! Whenever I edit, I always look back at your videos for the transitions, camera angles, and everything. You're going places, scott. And I can't wait to see where :)
Love the video -Great format, very "real" approach. I can tell how many shots went into this vid
the amount of effort and hard work you have given given is definitely visible one of the best videos i've seen,
it was a work of art.
Very glad I found this channel. Keep making unique stuff that is compelling to watch. 👍
Your videos are like a smooth song that starts with your video and ends with it in symphony. Mind blowing, piece of art.
Dude that video was amazing,
You are gonna get far bro,
There is just something about these videos that punch at a deeper angle than other content.
Keep up the good work and do not struggle with decisions in life. Random acts, experiences, ideas, thoughts and decisions is a gift of life and it always brings you back to where you are in life to current point in time.

Your channel Scott is the one who i look for when i need some motivation. This video's storytelling is f-ing amazing, congrats
This video is just insane the lighting the camera angle everything is super good and look at that detail. Insane.
the foreshadowing shot right at the start.. FANTASTIC !!
I just thought of something
of course this video is incredible in an artistic sense - the concepts, the editing, the storytelling
but what I just realized is how well you must know your art, because you crafted it to be flashy in the particular way that film (videography? idk) noobs could appreciate to be subtle. the balance between 'holy shit that's sick' and continuing to tell the actual story is incredible
