Chicken Scratch Apologetics. Jehovah's Witnesses believe Jesus was raised as a Spirit Creature. They deny his resurrection was physical. Is that what the Bible teaches, or are they just trying to cover other false doctrines.

One of the usual opponents of these messages once told me that Jesus manufactured a physical body and put the nail and spear marks on it to convince the disciples that he had been raised. That seems like he was accusing Jesus of deception. In response to Jesus saying "Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have" (Luke 24:39), he said that Jesus was talking about an evil spirit or ghost. He was denying being a specific kind of spirit, not totally ruling out being a spirit. To be fair, the Greek term there could be interpreted in that way, but it feels a lot like cherry-picking given how often that term means something else in other places in the Bible. It's one assumption made to support another. They have to do that. If they let the Greek term mean what it means in so many other places, they are once again making Jesus out to be a liar. After all, he's explicitly denying being a spirit , not a specific type of spirit.

JESUS can see and live in that Light, so JESUS IS NOT PART OF THAT MAN AND NOR A MAN (human being in Original Greek). If Jesus remained as HUMAN , then u r saying 1 tim 6:16 is a LIE. Great Message D H, I hope you are feeling better.
As I have asked JWs so many times, if Jesus had wanted to convey to the Church that his resurrection was a "raised spirit", why did He include so many details like Seeing, Touching, Tasting and Hearing?:
    1) They were startled and frightened, thinking they SAW a ghost.
    2) “Why are you troubled?
3)LOOK at My hands and My feet.
    4) It is I myself! TOUCH ME AND SEE
    5) a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you SEE I have.
6)He SHOWED them his hands and feet
7)Do you have anything here to eat?
8)They gave him a piece of broiled fish, and He TOOK IT AND ATE IT in their presence.
Jesus is not doing a very good job of convincing them, (or Us) that He was raised a spirit.
    Again in John 20
    1) But he said to them, “Unless I SEE the nail marks in HIS HANDS and put MY FINGER where the nails were, and PUT MY HAND into HIS SIDE, I will not believe.”
2)Then he said to Thomas, “Put YOUR FINGER here; SEE my hands. Reach out YOUR HAND and put it into MY SIDE. Stop doubting and believe.”
3)Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”
Jesus again is doing a pathetic job of convincing me or anyone else that he was raised a spirit. He's asking the Disciples to use their PHYSICAL SENSES to confirm his Physical Bodily Resurrection.
Christ is Demonstrating the use of the Senses
    1)Eyesight
    2)Hearing
    3)Touch
    4)Taste
Christ is the Greatest Teacher ever, and has clearly demonstrated He rose Physically.

1 Cor 15:42 So it is with the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised up in incorruption. 43 It is sown in dishonor; it is raised up in glory. Who did the Jews claim was their God? He was also Jesus' God.

😅 It is clear what 1 Cor 15 42- is saying.
(Philippians 2:5-11) Keep this mental attitude in you that was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, although he was existing in God’s form, did not even consider the idea of trying to be equal to God. 7 No, but he emptied himself and took a slave’s form and became human. 8 More than that, when he came as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, yes, death on a torture stake. 9 For this very reason, God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every other name, 10 so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend-of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground- 11 and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
This show Jesus was not God, but a spirit prior to coming to earth, and indicates being given a better position then previously, by his God and Father. I am not sure how you think this supports your view.

It was necessary for Christ to die a physical death for 2 reasons 1) To provide the Ransom and 2) To enable him to ascend back to heaven. Point 2) is esssential because apostle Paul said that - "flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Corithians 15:50) that is, mortal human bodies cannot exist or live in heaven and the resurrected Jesus was no exception to this rule. Everyone in the Apologetics field has a copy. It gets your opponent to have to think about a question you asked. It forces the brain of your opponent to have to supply reasons for believing in this or that.
I would be happy to send a copy to a PO Box if you don't have the resources (free of charge).

A related point. Greek words for body, sarx. : a physical body unit, corpse. Soma: the body according to its parts. SOMA. CAN ALSO REFER TO THE BODY OF A SPIRITUAL BEING.
    After Jesus’
Resurrection, Was His Body Flesh or Spirit?
After Jesus' Resurrection, Was His Body Flesh or Spirit?
    The Bible’s answer
The Bible says that Jesus “was put to death in the flesh but made alive [resurrected] in the spirit.”-1 Peter 3:18; Acts 13:34; 1 Corinthians 15:45; 2 Corinthians 5:16.
Jesus’ own words showed that he would not be resurrected with his flesh-and-blood body. He said that he would give his “flesh in behalf of the life of the world,” as a ransom for mankind. (John 6:51; Matthew 20:28) If he had taken back his flesh when he was resurrected, he would have canceled that ransom sacrifice. This could not have happened, though, for the Bible says that he sacrificed his flesh and blood “once for all time.”-Hebrews 9:11, 12.
If Jesus was raised up with a spirit body, how could his disciples see him?
Spirit creatures can take on human form. For example, angels who did this in the past even ate and drank with humans. (Genesis 18:1-8; 19:1-3) However, they still were spirit creatures and could leave the physical realm.-Judges 13:15-21.
After his resurrection, Jesus also assumed human form temporarily, just as angels had previously done. As a spirit creature, though, he was able to appear and disappear suddenly. (Luke 24:31; John 20:19, 26) The fleshly bodies that he materialized were not identical from one appearance to the next. Thus, even Jesus’ close friends recognized him only by what he said or did.-Luke 24:30, 31, 35; John 20:14-16; 21:6, 7.
When Jesus appeared to the apostle Thomas, he took on a body with wound marks. He did this to bolster Thomas’ faith, since Thomas doubted that Jesus had been raised up.-John 20:24-29.

The Jehovah's Witnesses are engaging in Spiritism.
Mary Magdalene was the first to SEE him.
The belief that someone can see spirits is called Spiritism which includes consultation with mediums who communicate with the dead and spirits.
    This practice is forbidden by Deuteronomy 18 : 9 through 12 and Levitucus 19 : 31.
By seeing Jesus as a spirit only is saying that Mary was a medium. The Bible clearly condemns that practice.
St. Thomas touched JESUS. Spirits cannot be touched.
St. Mary Magdalene and St. Thomas did not communicate with spirits.

True there is no verse or scripture saying that Jesus at his resurrection took on the body of an garderner as well as there are also many small details of the Bible that are missing, like the name of Noah's wife and the name of the Pharoah involved the in days of Moses. Nevertheless they do not affect the overall message that the bible contains that we need for our time. The account says Mary did not readily recognize Jesus appearance but she may have remembered how he looked like when he died...this man talking to her as she was visibly distraught was unknown to her so she asked him where did he put away Jesus body....although not mentioned in the scriptures God may have simply disintergrated Jesus physical body so it was no longer in the tomb. This was done to fulfill the prophecy in Psalms 16:10 that said God's loyal one (Jesus) would Not remain in the grave to see corruption or a complete decomposition. Mary was distraught that his body was gone...but when the man uttered her name in a gentle tone and in a voice she was familiar with, she was dumbstruck and quickly realized it was Jesus!...."Rabboni!" She exclaimed...then she clung onto him tightly for she feared he would disappear again never to be seen...the resurrected Jesus thus appeared to her in the body of an garderner....Mary makes no mention about seeing wound holes in his hands and doubting Thomas did not say that an garderner appeared to him because evidently Jesus took on different forms when he showed himself to his disciples as Mark 16:12 (KJV) says.

@@roeltingzon758 You are correct, there is no scripture that says his body disintegrated, but says the opposite, as his body was raised from the dead, as Jesus said he would do John 2:19-22. You it leaves you with no proof that his body just evaporated, this is a falsehood created by false teachers who manipulate the resurrection of Christ. Also, you can't use Psalms 16:10 or Acts 2:27. This could just as easily mean that his body didn't see corruption, because God raised it from the dead. You can not choose your own interpretation as evidence. Also, why are you using Mark 16? You own society and Bible says that Mark 16:12 is an addition and doesn't belong in the Bible. Even if it does, Luke 24:16 expands on this, saying Jesus kept their eyes from noticing them. From the disciples perspective, he appeared different, because Jesus kept their eyes hidden, not changed his body. You are using an atheist argument that is typically leveled against Christianity, that the disciples didn't see the risen Christ, but fakers posing as Jesus.

As Adam "was made into a living soul" at his creation, Jesus "was made into a life-giving spirit" at his re-creation (his resurrection).
The reason Jesus had to become a life-giving spirit is because "flesh and blood cannot inherit God's kingdom" (1 Cor. 15:50). Thus, Jesus had to receive a "spiritual body" at his resurrection.

Chapter 15 of the Apostle Paul's first letter to the Corinthians deals with the doctrine of the resurrection. In this chapter, Paul summarizes in his own words the quintessence of the gospel he preached publicly at God's command.
1 Corinthians 15,22-23 (NWT Study Edition)
"For just as in Adam a l l are dying, so also in the Christ a l l will be made alive.

      "50 But I tell you this, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit God’s Kingdom, nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Look! I tell you a s a c r e d s e c r e t : We will not all fall asleep in death, but w e w i l l a l l b e c h a n g e d ,

a l l the tribes of the e a r t h will beat themselves in grief because of him. Yes, Amen."
The resurrection is described by Paul in this chapter as an indispensable condition for man born in imperfection to reach the state of immortality.
Accordingly, all Christians will experience from God the transformation of their bodies at the parousia or return of Christ. The apostle Paul immortalized the same prediction in his letter to the Philippians. (Philippians 3:17-21). This fact is undeniable. How this glorified body will be designed, however, is not described in the Bible.
That Jesus was perceptible to his disciples in human form in this glorified body is evident from the descriptions of the same Bible book. (1 Corinthians 15:3-5).
Therefore, as rightly emphasized in the video, it is about the question of how the parousia or return of Jesus will manifest itself. The authors of the New Testament have also left us unmistakable messages on this crucial issue.
Questions to the great Bible scholars of the last days: just before the last day of the last days.
      =========================================================================
1.) According to the Apostle Paul, will all Christians experience the transformation of their bodies at the return of Christ or only a negligible minority? In other words,. Is it conceivable that Paul, as a preacher of nations, had no knowledge of a second class of Christians, although he claimed that the divine truth had been entrusted to him personally through Jesus Christ? (Galatians 1:11-12; Ephesians 3:1-6).
2.) Will Jesus reveal Himself visibly or perceptibly to all people on earth at His future return, or only 8 chosen people in New York? (Luke 21:26-27).
3.) Why was the return of Jesus in his capacity as the "Son of Man" already announced in the Hebrew Scriptures? (Daniel 7:13; Matthew 24:30).
It would be very gratifying if this time you would concentrate on the elementary teachings and not dwell on trivialities.
