Is Mecha Frieza stronger than Organic Frieza? Did his attachments actually make him stronger or weaker? Dragon Ball Z manga chapter 135 and 136 state Mecha Frieza was stronger but it was Frieza himself that said this and we know him to be a very arrogant type. Mecha frieza was definitely stronger with his cybernetic enhancements and I always thought this was Toriyamas way of showing the audience that technology can make beings even stronger than Frieza... because the android ark takes place right afterwards
Yes this was my thinking too. It was a rare case of Toriyama linking two arcs together, setting the pretence for the possibility of the androids stunning power

Your piece about his mechanical parts not holding his ki reminded me of why darth Vader didn’t have as much potential as anakin did because mediclorians flow through living flesh not mechanical parts so while Vader was stronger than anakin he wouldn’t grow as strong as anakin could’ve been
I've always hypothesized that Mecha Frieza couldn't access his 100% form because his prosthetics might pop off and you're the first person to address this on youtube. Overall, wonderfull in depth analysis, you really did a solid job with your research on each and every little bit of relevant data!

Great video, a lot more people need to see this, because there's a lot of confusion over Mecha Frieza's power. I always thought it was weaker, but here's the proof
The key here is the super nova attack, even at 100% he still used death ball, super nova is stronger which means he had to get stronger to use it, mabey not by much but still he did increase even if it was slightly!

Another thing to note about the “ten times the energy” statement is that when Frieza blew up Namek he was only at his half power state, which makes the statement much less impressive.
One thing i dont like is how Frieza trained after hearing goku beating buu, but rigth after the namek saga, freiza knew goku destroyed him, even if freiza got a bit improved in mecha form, Frieza isnt a idiot, he nows goku would of recieved a little zenkai from that, or enhanced his new super saiyan ability during the time gap, he would of probably lets say trained with king cold for a few days to a week or maybe 2 weeks just to make sure, as some time did pass, he could of trained to make sure vegeta or gohan didnt suddenly beocme super saiyan aswell, then this fight would of been 10x more intressting, future trunks having to go all out, vegeta and the z fighters arrive, goku arrive and one big showdown between freiza, kingcold and goku and trunks.
I think he is slightly stronger than his final form but not by much and due to the cybernetic enhancements he was unable to achieve 100% power so over all he is stronger than he was on namek at 50% power but not as strong as 100%

Yeah, I tend to agree that Freeza was more or less around the same battle power he had on Namek. Maybe slightly more powerful, as he himself suggested. Something interesting to note is that in all official statements Freeza is stated to have been born with even more power, more cruelty and more potential than his father. Yet it's stated in the manga that both of them had similar ki, suggesting that possibly King Cold wasn't much weaker than his son, unless maybe it's because Freeza wasn't powered up at the time.
Dragon Ball Series: About the only series with characters so strong they don't blow up the planets they're on out of courtesy... most of the time.

Frieza Just Lost because Toriyama wanted to introduce Trunks the best way he could and probably decided not to use Frieza as a villain again.
Combine that with the fact that he got scared when he saw Trunks turning into a Super Saiyan, making him holding back because of his fear.
If he had tried to use his full power he probably would have put up a good fight against the Saiyan.
The mechanical parts could probably expand if he powered up, they just didn't because Toriyama decided that Frieza had to be defeated by Trunks.
He was probably thinking about giving Frieza a second chance (which later happened in DBS) and make his father the main villain, but then decided to introduce a new antagonist, aka Cell. It's the only explaination I have for him wasting King Cold as a character, what's the point of introducing a villain's father just to make him look stupid af by thinking that Trunks's strength lied entirely in His sword when your entire family was aware about how much potential the Saiyans had, as they also used them for their galactic trade.

Honestly I don't think there's any "wrong" power level speculated by fans after the Freeza arc. It's all based on what information we get from the anime, manga, guide books and etc.
Problem is that things get confusing and vary with translation changes, extended/filler scenes to pat out the episodes so as to not catch up to the manga too fast. Plus the movies needed to drag things out for the final epic final fight scenes.
I would say Mecha-Freeza is stronger than on Namek, but much weaker than Future Trunks. As for his 100% it's not far fetched to conclude that his cybernetic implants allows him to access 100% of his power without bulking up.
I think you are on to something about Frieza, Kaioshin Curt! With the repairs done to Frieza, they did actually make him stronger. However, they limited him going full power due to the rush job done on repairing him. The Androids took longer to create and thus had more time to perfect their technology, which is superior to Frieza's build job. The thing is I think Frieza is relatively close to his 100% full power form on Namek, being below it a bit. If they had more time in repairing him, they could have made better technology and made it where he could go full power. This would make a difference as he would surely be more powerful than on Namek and probably stronger than Super Saiyan Goku while on Namek. So, the idea of not being able to go full power, makes alot of sense, even though a may only be head cannon.
Yes I would have liked to have seen a version of mecha Frieza where his design was perfected to actually make him stronger than Super Saiyan Goku on namek. it still wouldn't have made too much difference because Super Saiyan Goku yardrat would have been far stronger than they could have imagined as the multiplier gave large increases in power even when the base was slightly strengthened. perhaps future trunks in Super Saiyan wouldn't have been able to deal with freeza then. Thanks Derek it was good analysis from you as always and I see your point about the attachments actually making him stronger. All statements are satisfied with this being the case too
if its true that the metal parts couldnt hold extra ki and power thats kinda like darth vader losing alot of his force power and abilities because of destroyed tissue and ruined body
Hey here's something to consider:
Goku had been drained of his power during his battle against 50 percent Frieza. When he went Super Saiyan, the hurt, the fear, the shock and terror of seeing Krillin die caused a rage so vast, he had to put Frieza down.
This causes him to develop waaay more S-Cells than he usually had (from his skeletal marrow for sure) and he transformed with explosive energy.
Whether at the moment of transformation or after he ha decided Frieza was done, though he had become a Super Saiyan at 15 million which is actually 150,000,000 or roughly 800 to 1800 Keelies,
(Keelies is Babadi's mathematical unit during Goku's fight with Yarkon - Goku fought in his base firstly which means he was equal to or stronger than Yarkon who was said to be only 800 Keelies. To give room for Goku's growth in power during Yardrat, Cell and the 7 year time gap, I roughly put Goku at a base of 1800 to 2400 which stops at 3 X Yarkon. However, Goku on Namek in his weakened SS form was at least between these two numbers - weakened remember that ok)
- Goku was not at full power because of the injuries and stamina drainage he had endured and suffered - had Goku taken a Senzu Bean at either of those moments, his SS power would have skyrocketed passed the anime's 15 million Babadi's 1800 Keelies, and the manga's original 150 million to at least 50 percent more of his total SS power to double his Super Saiyan transformation.
That makes Goku 250 million to 300 million in power! I stop there because Goku didn't die or sustain a massive injury, but major bruises in muscle tissue, cuts and stamina drainage. These give incredible Zenkai boosts, but not like resurrection would.
So Trunks was so much more powerful than Frieza and equaled Goku's power of Namek at between 300 million - 360 million as a Hybrid Saiyan and Super Saiyan.
Sparring with Goku who gained a vast jump in Spirit Control - the little that he did having no rush orvmotkvation to push himself harder as Vegeta did against Moro, Goku had at least doubled to more than doubled his power to 600 million to 800 million.
Vegeta was enraged seeing two Super Saiyans and feeling the power they had, though it's interesting they didn't really speak on how much more powerful he had become. Only Gohan and Vegeta would know though.
This helps me understand something:
Vegeta nor Piccolo was more powerful than Goku during their power ups and transformations, though Piccolo has a stronger position than Vegeta as he fought 17 head on.
With the way him and King Cold were defeated by Trunks it seemed like they were even weaker than the Ginyu Force.
How?
If Mecha Frizea is at least equal or slightly weaker than his final form it does massively reduce DBZ's issue with insane power scaling between the Frieza and Android sagas.
Frieza really has no way to even know his power between his final form and his mecha form, and he probably can't even use his 100% form without damaging his cybernetic due to his physiological changes.
It makes no sense either from a narrative or logical perspective that he would have been stronger or even as strong as he was on Namek. The reason why the androids were strong is because they were enhanced humans, Frieza's mechanical parts on the other hand are mostly just prosthetics for the half of a body that he lost. The fight in the anime shows us three things that prove this:
1) Frieza only uses his organic arm to shoot ki blasts
2) he is reluctant to fight Trunks up close (because of reason number 3)
3) he is extremely slow because ki does not run through his inorganic body parts, he drags the rest of his body along with him and never does any high speed maneuvers since his "upgrade".
Not only did he lose a huge amount of power after the damage he took on Namek but he is completely unable of powering up in this state and his prosthetics do very little to enhance him.
ya know come to think of it mecha frieza may not have had time to transform into 100% he never gets into a direct fight to gauge if he can defeat him he dodges one burning attack and then is suprised and cut into millions of pieces after previously thinking he may have possibly destroyed trunks after blasting him when he was holding his supernova so he had no time to react
and king cold may actually have more transformations as his second form could have simply been just that strong if that wasnt his final form and he decided to try to recruit trunks and then tried to kill him with his own sword seeming pretty confident then getting blasted with no time to process what just happened before having a super sayain in his face with his hand outstretched
also with db super logic trunks suprising frieza with his full power frieza could have been caught off guard and didnt have time to defend and ontop of that trunks was using a sharp sword with full power and frieza only had his fists

I think Freeza here is stronger than before, he has to be over 120,000,000, at least on Gokou’s level of 150,000,000.
He may be arrogant but can’t be stupid, there’s a difference.
He fought and lost to Gokou, even at his best.
If Freeza is at 60,000,000, he’s just stupid for that, even with King Cold’s help.
I think Sayian Scholar made a good speculation on how Freeza’s power worked here.
(If I could remember) he’s probably at 60,000,000, but this is now his 40%, and his 100% is 150,000,000.
However you make a good point that it may be his cybernetics aren’t able to allow him to bulk up, but I feel that’s speculation personally.
So to me, I like to go with Sayian Scholar’s explanation.

Those power levels are bs . Frieza was 3.5 mil in his 50% form and 4mil in 100% goku was 5 mil . People believe frezia when he says he was only using 1% of his power to goku . What he means is he is only using 1% of his abilities and his level is 50% already he’s just not using it . Think about it how can goku jump from 500k - 150 million in one transformation?

Probably 125-130 million power level if full power and probably 80-100 million range against Trunks
I think Frieza was probably as powerful as his mechanical implants would alow his body to be as long as he never exceeds the limit of his mecha parts he's probably around 70 percent in his resting power, but Frieza got cocky in thinking Goku hadn't trained since Namek and alas he was sliced and diced I loved the comment future Trunks makes in the Japanese version It must have Taken you a lot of nerve, After having being reduced to that ridiculous form to come all the way here 😂
I think Mecha Freeza is stronger, I like Sayian Scholars explanation that Mecha Freeza was at 40% which is as strong as his original 50%.
So his Full-Power could be as strong as S.S-J.Grade.1 he fought.
But Future Trunk’s could be stronger then Mecha Freeza and Kakkaroto/Gokou is stronger then Future Trunk’s.
That’s my opinion.
I think he was stronger not much just a tad bit but not as tough if that makes sense for example because of his cybernetics his ability to take damage was less then his full body and he had less potential
The only point I want to make is the scene with Gohan saying that trunks has the same ki as Goku. The Z fighters are able to tell the difference not just the power of ki but also the properties of it as well. Cause if they could only view things based on how much ki is being output then how did they know it was Freezer? Then ki sensing would only be a slightly upgraded version of a scouter essentially. So my theory is that Gohan who hasn't felt ki similar to his father's Super Saiyan form from another person may have got them mixed up.. To have an analogy it would be like adding the same bbq sauce to two different dishes. Tasting the bbq sauce might remind you of the other dish that had it. Also seen as Gohan wanted to see his father back could have also increased the confusion as well. Not only that but Frieza had also arrived with his father so panic was probably fairly high.
Yeah, i always thought that mecha-Freezer never was significantly more powerful than he was before in Namek. I even think Freezer was indeed WEAKER than before because of his body being a sad reconstruction and because he didn't even train that form.
Finally, i think King Cold's scientifics lied just because they were afraid to say something negative, and taking in consideration how
I don't personally follow the Official Power Levels because they're extremely inconsistent, but I do think Mecha-Frieza is 25 percent stronger than he was on Namek.
The Official Power lvl only caps at Namek saga.

Alright. Let's look at a couple of Goku's Official Power Levels...
King Piccolo Saga (Dragon Ball)
Goku: 260
Saiyan Saga (Dragon Ball Z)
Goku, without weighted clothing: 416
If we do the math, Goku got a 1.6x increase... in a span of eight years. Keep in mind that after the King Piccolo Saga, Goku trained under Kami and Mr. Popo for three years. That's important.
Here's a quote from the manga...

Goku (to Piccolo): Well, well... looks like we've both been training hard!
This statement makes it clear that Goku's been training during the timeskip, but the Official Power Levels don't reflect that at all. You might be thinking "that doesn't mean anything", but let's move forward. Let's take a look at Krillin, Tien-Shinhan, and Yamcha's Official Power Levels...
Bulma picks up the following readings on Raditz's scouter...
Krillin: 206
Tien-Shinhan: 250
Yamcha: 177
These are the results after training under Kami and Mr. Popo for a year...
Krillin: 1,770
Tien-Shinhan: 1,830
Yamcha: 1,480
Krillin got a 8.59x increase, Tien-Shinhan got a 7.32x increase, and Yamcha got a 8.36x increase. This is in just one year. I'm not trying to undercut the human Z-Fighters, but Goku was stronger than them (with a power level of 260) when he started training with Kami and Popo. This is irrefutable. For Goku to get a 1.6x increase in a span of eight years is pretty laughable, but that's what the Official Power Levels are telling us. It gets even weirder, though.
We know Piccolo (Jr.) during the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament is stronger than King Piccolo who has a power level of 260. We don't know how much stronger Piccolo is than King Piccolo, so I'll just use 260 as the benchmark for Piccolo for simplicity's sake. Like Goku, Piccolo trained throughout the five-year timeskip. Piccolo had a power level of 408 without weighted clothing. At the very least, Piccolo got a 1.56x increase in a span of five years. After the fight with Raditz, we're talking no more than a day here; Piccolo's power goes up seven points (from 322 to 329) for no rhyme or reason. Seven points isn't much, but it's a massive leap when compared to the past five years. Let's move a bit forward and I'll keep it really simple here...
Goku: 8,000
Nappa: 4,000
Dragon Ball Z, Vol. 3; Page 142

Goku and Nappa seem to be even after the latter powers up and we know Goku isn't holding back. I mean... not using the Kaio-Ken is technically holding back, but you get the idea. A gap of 4,000 between the two seems pretty ridiculous. Especially when much smaller gaps in previous fights lead to complete dominance. Raditz (1,200/1,500 depending on the source) vs. Goku (416) and Piccolo (408), for example. Now you could say that 4,000 isn't Nappa's full power. I personally don't think it is, but it's his officially listed power level.
Those are just some examples. There are more, but this should give you an idea as to what I mean.
@@thirdworldrenegade eh all this depends on the training I don’t see much of a problem. Goku against Nappa tried to finish it up faster so he used kaio-ken to finish it up. The power gap was actually a 2x gap in multiplication. Addition just makes numbers look big. The gap wasn’t much bigger. You need to realize that multiply works better than adding. Plus Goku’s 406 PL doesn’t really worry me considering Goku needs long training and certain things. He needs high difficulty unlike other people. Saiyans need to train under things like 20x gravity while bench pressing or 100x gravity. Or like the moon time chamber
Yeah I agree, overall mecha frieza is better then Final form frieza base, but is not as powerful as he could have been if he was using 100%. Ya'll gotta remember too that at first when frieza went 100% he was going dead even with super saiyan goku if not hitting a little harder just cause of his bulky muscles.

Let me make this easy for you guys. I have the original list of power levels from waaayyyy back in day. These were the power levels from that original list :
Frieza (100% form Namek) : 12.000.000
Goku ssj : 15.000.000
Mecha Frieza : 25.000.000
Goku after Yardrat : 40.000.000
Trunks ssj : 35.000.000
King Cold : 30.000.000
As you can now see Frieza got quiet strong after his enhancements but still paled in comparison to Goku or Trunks
