[about me]
Hi my name is Rosie, I'm 26 and my life is a bit confusing so i'm writing this lol.
To make it easy:
- I was born in Northern Italy, in the region of Veneto
- My whole family still lives there (mom, dad and my little sister Marty)
- I moved to Toronto, Canada, at 19 all alone to ✨find myself✨ (spoiler: it didn't work, i got more lost if anything).
So, I live half my life in Italy and half my life in Canada.
Also, my mom is from Moldova (country in Eastern Europe) and my dad is from Calabria (region in Southern Italy) and both my grandmas still live there. So you’ll occasionally see me going there as well.
I hope this clears things up a bit.. or maybe makes them more confusing lol.

What are your favorite things to do in your country? 🥰 I’m curious
Walking through historical towns. One of my favorite things to do here in germany. :)
Just chillin in my hometown and in places where I used to spend time as a kid
In Wales: Either walking around mountains or hanging out with friends in local towns/cities
In Brazil: Exploring my Mother's hometown, shopping in Poços de Caldas and trying Brazilian food ^^
I live in a historic/national park area of Northeast USA, and one of my favorite things to do is to go for runs through the parkland or riding my bike around town. It's really nice living in a section of my country where you can actually bike safely. It's also supposed to be really haunted, so I love telling the tourists spooky stories lol.
Going to the beach and trying a new restaurant is always fun 🇧🇪

@@atruenut I have honestly tried. Given it my all- but in nearly 30 years here I still hate it. I don’t know if I can fix that. I do have a reason to stay though and that’s what keeps me here.

I'm an introvert also (66 years old) and spend my days walking my German Shepherd and watching U-tubers on my Chromebook! I'm retired in Long Beach, CA.

Don't feel bad about being shy. You are shy for a reason. If you force yourself not to be, you might end up around bad people who will use you. Shy is like discernment. When you feel comfortable around people, you will open up. Otherwise, you are protecting yourself from bad interactions. Let the people who like you find you. Don't force yourself to be with people you are not sure of.
That happened to me, so I stopped to act like an coward extroverd, my inner peace is back and i'm not more around bad people
Rosie, I am so proud of you for sitting and talking with that older gentleman. People don't understand that the elderly just want to have someone to talk to because they get so lonely. I could have sat and listened to him all day. When I was younger, I would sit and listen to my Mother talk about when she was little and I was amazed. You learn a lot of the elderly and now that I am 66, my grandkids love sitting and listening to me tell about my childhood.
you literally feel like my best friend when i watch these. i relate to you so much about being introverted, girl it’s a struggle like i wanna go and talk to people but it’s so scary being judged. i’m out here thinking people are making fun of the way i breathe.

As a fellow introvert I totally relate to wondering what I might be missing when I keep more to myself. Here’s a reminder to be gentle with yourself and to celebrate the wins no matter how “small” they may be. What’s small for someone is a huge for someone else. I’m proud of you yay! 🙌🏼

in my expreince as a greek person we are ofter pretty judgemental and petty, it's probably not that obvious from an outside point of view and there are always exceptions but that is my personal experience, obviously the part of our "world" a tourist might see will differ from what happens in schools for example, yeah, that was all i wanted to say

i absolutely LOVE your videos. You and I are both introverts. I'm 37 years old and a single mother, I struggle with it every day, the anxiety. Your videos relax me so much. I'm a cook and it's been my dream to go to Italy, I'll make it there one day with my children, but until then I'll Be watching your videos. I love watching you go out into the towns, in a way it's like I get to be there with you, and I love watching your Nana cook! The food there looks so good and fresh and delicious. I like how your videos are so natural and down to earth. You're not flashy or showy and you don't talk a lot. You just let the video and your surroundings speak for themselves and I love it. Keep making them. They're a great insight.

Jeez, I could never fall asleep during a movie :D Unless it was like in the middle of the night. I really wish I was in Italy too, all that lovely nature, architecture and food. And what you said about being social with strangers is so true for me too! Each and every person can be such treasure chest of interesting and teachable stories - I wish we could talk to each other more easily even if we didn't know each other before because we would learn so much about the world that way. I think those short but deep talks with people we don't really know can end up being some of the most memorable moments in our lives.
in my defence the movie started at 11 pm and finished at 1 am lol 😂

I’m lately very bored of vlogs as everyone makes very repetitive or similar content but Rosie’s videos give a different very relatable and warm vibe 💖 It’s so relaxing to watch.

almost a year ago, when i've watched your video about what you eat in Italy, I scrolled through the channel and thought that there's nothing interesting for me. but I decided to stay and see what would you do next. and I don't regret this at all, because your videos are so true! just life as it is. this is what made me love youtube many years ago. can't believe how lucky I am to find this absolutely goegres channel! Wow, this was such a genuine confession. I too have some anxiety, feel at times awkward, never up to socializing. It was reassuring hearing that someone else feels the same way. I never thought that a person with such tendencies could be a vlogger. My hat's off to you :) From one introvert to another. You are encouraging me to start a vlog one day! -- So I was just watching this same video for the second time, as I prepared to go to bed (I thought it would relax me because I had a very stressful day), and I noticed you mentioned being afraid of mortgages and debt. I have the EXACT SAME fear!!!! And I too always thought I would save up and buy a house when I had the money for it! I am not almost 49 with an apartment in a foreign country that cost less than $25,000 :) Contemplating the next one. I cannot believe that someone else shares the same fear of debt. I have literally never been in debt, not even credit card debt!

I fell on your vlogs by accident and thoroughly enjoy them. You are a lovely and very special person, and I hope you will come over your anxieties at some point. I visited Italy in October and totally loved it - 3 days in Rome and 12 days a cruise, including some stops in Greece. absolutely loved this vlog! the conversation with the old man was so so lovely. I adore the way you vlog, and love seeing this real part of Italian culture. Don't be hard on yourself when it comes to putting yourself outside of your comfort zone, it takes time of mini exposures to build up a tolerance and feel confident in being able to just talk to people. You must be kind to yourself first!
P.S. I really love the Italian language, and would love to hear you speak it more or have videos dedicated to learning some Italian maybe?
Im not going to lie- I’m so jealous! I wish I could live your life. It seems so peaceful here and allowing you to open yourself up to being more happy in life. I’m genuinely happy for you! I just wish I could do that too. Living in Italy and you showing us what you do just really seems like it resonates so much inside me like I was meant to live this way. I know a lot of people would say also they would live this life- but it just hits me so deep. I live in Arizona now after somewhat growing up in England and I have to be honest I absolutely hate it here!!! It’s sooooo incredibly hot, it’s not fun or peaceful, it’s miserable.
