i love being lonely. i believe its a price one has to pay for sanity & solace, ive been lonely my entire life. its more the case now as I moved to another province for work away from my family. ive beem here for 7 months. no social life whatsoever
I really wish sometimes as women we can switch off the noise and really hear our brothers when they cry to us…..it won’t hurt u as a sister to sometimes say broer ngena, let’s have a drink and I listen attentively with no judgement….its tough but doable…. Still remember when my brother said take care I love u on before his second suicide attempt🥲
We don't necessarily use it against u, it's just women we cannot handle a man's problems, we don't know why. Yes girlies will come out here and be like "confide in me" but look at where that has mostly ended up to. It's just nature and has to be accepted, u can even ask ur great great great grandfather. It's best a man confides in his brother, father, close uncle, brother from another mother, male therapist, male figure u just met somewhere etc any man.
Pen, listening to this you just spoke directly to me. I am a functioning alcoholic, I drink on daily basis just as a coping mechanism. It doesn't affect my work whatsoever. But it's straning my health. I enjoy my own company but at times I feel lonely coz I have been separated for 3 years now. After work It's where I really feel it because I'm going to a home where nobody is waiting for me. So the booze closes that gap.
I've been there. Try to get friends outside of work and maybe consider starting dating again... Your case sounds redeemable, even without professional help. Love & light.
I've never felt lonely, but have always felt alone. I've mostly felt alone when in a relationship. Especially when everything was on me and me never having help. The problem had been me dating people that could not be in a position to help. And that made me feel alone a lot
This is interesting because i feel adulthood means being independent since its something i have always done as a first born. i like doing things on my own and i never feel lonely. I get uncomfortable when people try to enter my world. The only time i felt deeply lonely was in university and high school.
I relate to this cause I’m in varsity and the journey is so lonely 🙌🏾. I feel like I’m in a season of isolation whatsoever cause I even had fallouts with people.
this video deserves more views, the topic is very pervasive in society and i would personally admit that i do experience this. I think people are so scared to be lonely that they would rather be fake to fit in with people they probably don't even like in the first place. I'm more interested in what the solution is to this, because we can't just act fake all in the sake of friendship
Gladly you have children now, so u will never feel lonely again. No matter if the adults in your life are "busy with their own lives" or not etc. Kids always connect to you daily in life. No space to feel alone or lonely no more. My unpopular advice 2 those who feel alone is .... have kids👌😂
As long you ensure the kids grow up in a healthy home. It isn't fair to bring kids here to suffer jst so that ure not lonely. Also finding other things to fulfill u can help, faith, have lonely friends as well u won't feel lonely 😂, hobbies etc.
It's still easier said than done. You know if you've asked for help in the past and been disappointed countless times whilst you were always available to extend a helping hand it sort of takes something away from you. You end up keeping it all to yourself so as to not be a "burden". We truly are a broken people in so many ways yo. But nonetheless I love the content.❤️❤️ It's speaking to me.🥲

Yoh this touched me alot society is really superficial it's scary. At times I feel like society needs a reset button
Especially in South Africa
Reset back to what exactly?
@saffylllama5609 to normality and humility and empathy and so much more. There's no shame anymore people are dead whilst they are still alive

I 💯 feel you. Solace is bliss. I'm not misanthropic, but people drain me a lot, with their meaningless superficial conversations.
