Penson Mlotshwa. The Journey.
Добавлен 9 сен 2013
Let's go on this journey of development. This world is forever telling us how to behave. Let's walk together and teach each other.
Men are lonely.
In a room full of people. Men still feel alone.
We need to talk more on these topics. We need to help each other.

As social beings we value the opinions of others, but sometimes we overvalue opinions that hinder our growth. I’ve been fearful of “bazothina” (what will they say), which has kept me from trying so many things in my life.

One should always try to be the best partner they can be for their loved ones. Yes, it’s not always possible to be the best in every department; but the aim is to try.

Women are not a safe space for men || Don’t compromise!
Today I got an email saying that I failed this fucking board exam and I needed this. Somehow I managed to smile with everyone at work and as usual people like coming to me / my desk for a chat. I had great conversations but I felt like a looser inside. Even as an adult, I still find it hard to deal with failure because in high school I too was one of those with the busy blazer but fortunately I have a support system that picks me up so I can continue every time. Thanks bro for this
i love being lonely. i believe its a price one has to pay for sanity & solace, ive been lonely my entire life. its more the case now as I moved to another province for work away from my family. ive beem here for 7 months. no social life whatsoever
With Jesus you will never feel lonely. ❤
Then you stay alone with Jesus
@@dylanmatipa136 I will
Yoh this touched me alot society is really superficial it's scary. At times I feel like society needs a reset button
Jesus Christ is king.He is the only one who can truly deliver you from lonileness
Best channel discovery I've made in a while🙌🏼
I've been alone for months bro I'm not feeling good
good talk poi, is really difficult to be vulnerable cos lately they use it against u, expecially women.
True that.
We don't necessarily use it against u, it's just women we cannot handle a man's problems, we don't know why. Yes girlies will come out here and be like "confide in me" but look at where that has mostly ended up to. It's just nature and has to be accepted, u can even ask ur great great great grandfather. It's best a man confides in his brother, father, close uncle, brother from another mother, male therapist, male figure u just met somewhere etc any man.
@@mamofranco Only if women, especially black women think the same way.
I hear you bhuti, but share your vulnerabilities with a woman at your own peril.......
..... Are lonely in a crowd!! Meditate!
This is interesting because i feel adulthood means being independent since its something i have always done as a first born. i like doing things on my own and i never feel lonely. I get uncomfortable when people try to enter my world. The only time i felt deeply lonely was in university and high school.
Mxm fire content🔥🔥🔥Thank you bro❤
Gladly you have children now, so u will never feel lonely again. No matter if the adults in your life are "busy with their own lives" or not etc. Kids always connect to you daily in life. No space to feel alone or lonely no more. My unpopular advice 2 those who feel alone is .... have kids👌😂
Then they become teenagers and hanging out with Mom ain't so cool anymore😂
As long you ensure the kids grow up in a healthy home. It isn't fair to bring kids here to suffer jst so that ure not lonely. Also finding other things to fulfill u can help, faith, have lonely friends as well u won't feel lonely 😂, hobbies etc.
Gabor Mate said 'If people dont know you, you will feel lonely'. Im sure you've heard it before. I believe that.
I've never felt lonely, but have always felt alone. I've mostly felt alone when in a relationship. Especially when everything was on me and me never having help. The problem had been me dating people that could not be in a position to help. And that made me feel alone a lot
Now that im single at the moment, im not feeling alone anymore😂
Siyabonga Bhuti. this is a talk that we all run away from kodwa its the truth.
It's still easier said than done. You know if you've asked for help in the past and been disappointed countless times whilst you were always available to extend a helping hand it sort of takes something away from you. You end up keeping it all to yourself so as to not be a "burden". We truly are a broken people in so many ways yo. But nonetheless I love the content.❤️❤️ It's speaking to me.🥲
Deep brother
Deep and true, it really hits hard when those you were there for don't return the favour. The challenge is to keep trying to find those who really and truly care for you and to continue to love those you love even more.
My brother, I appreciate you sharing this with us (particularly gents). 🤲
@@sibusisosithole9778 Always bro 👊🏾
Thank you Penson for highlighting the critical socio-economic issues. I have invested some time into help-interventions. Social workers are handling difficult cases with minimal resources. It draining to show-up but with perseverence, their services are invaluable. At schools, the counsellors are very helpful. Please encourage the boys to attend sessions even if they are hesitant initially. If you have medical aid, please get referrals to good psychologists. Heyi kunzima! We are dealing with identity issues, belonging and childhood traumas nje within families. At work, please use the wellness programs and go for consultations for specific issues. We didn't have all these interventions growing up. What we had though were loving family members, strict but caring teachers, neighbours who watched over us, church folk who nurtured our spirituality, childhood friendships and parents who instilled good moral values who sacrificed so much that at any point in time one knew that one is cherished. So blessed!
Loneliness is a human condition. It’s funny, the more populated the world becomes, the lonelier we feel. I’m surprised you can relate because you have a partner and children but I’m glad you shared 🙏🏿
@@iambloopy Loneliness is definitely a human condition! I’m blessed and grateful to have them in my life. I can only imagine how it would feel like without them 🙏🏽
@@pensonmlotshwa you are quite blessed with so much. May those temporary feelings of emptiness not consume you, there’s so much good surrounding you 🙏🏿
@@iambloopy Sadly it’s not just me… many men feel like this most of the time… Our fathers also felt like this… we just need to talk up more. And build strong communities of support 🫶🏽
@@pensonmlotshwa seconded. As a woman I don’t understand the different thought patterns and feelings men have however I’m glad that you’re creating a community where such “taboo” (shouldn’t be) topics can be shared and discussed. I never knew that this was a thing. Keep sharing ✨

Very emotional and inspirational story funny enough im at Rhodes University currently and we about to go ino finals so this really resonated with me.
This story is so similar to mine. I am a gyanaecologist now. Travelling on a bus to South Africa alone as a 17 year old was what I did to get it done.
She said don't tell anyone😂. thanks a lot man 🙏
😂😂😂
😢😢😢 I needed to hear this, I feel like I'm not where I thought I'd be by now.... I have a certificate from a tvet collage but it hasn't done anything for me, I gave up applying for jobs.... I'm already 35years with 3 kids, I''ve been playing with the idea of going back to school/university but considering the age, I'm not sure if I would still be standing a good chance to get a job by the time I finish my studies..... All and all sana I feel lost and I feel like I have failed my self, it hurts!
This video brought me to tears. I relate too much with having a brother larger than life and being academically excluded. I can't deal with it.
Okay i hear all that but do you go out in public with that nail polish 😬
That res story had me in tears. Bekunzima. We survived though 🙏🏽

Exe bro..I am a 25 years old, currently in my final year of studying bachelors of education (I hate it AF). The pressure from my parents to go to varsity is the reason i chose the course. I just discovered that i actually want to do Law. The problem with Law is that it is going to take me 4-6 years to be fully qualified. Which means I will probably start working and earning when I am 32 years old. I don't think age favours me, especially as someone who wants to have a family. Do you think it would be wise to start the law degree or must I just push the teaching career ?? Another problem with teaching is the salary. I don't think it is enough to sustain and provide for a family
@@controversy_6150 Finish your teaching degree then use it for credits to register for an LLB. Then quit teaching after obtaining your LLB and go start your articles. Never rush life. Many solid men started their families in their mid-30's. Just dont make babies until you finish your articles
Resist the urge to start a family now and to prioritise that need. Nothing is wrong with it but there are far more important things to do now. Even better push your academics first or whatever that will ensure that your family when the time comes is assured and well taken care of. Age doesn’t really matter, finish your teaching course then after apply for LLB it will earn you wider opportunities.
Please don't put a number (age or money) to your happiness. When you're enjoying and excelling in law, you won't realise time passed. Everything else depends on your happiness not a number. It is so impressive to meet people with multiple skills anyway in life. You'll be interesting in life nje...
