This is hands down the best Turo-related RUclips channel! Thanks for the valuable insights and in-depth breakdowns about the business. Your dedication is impressive. Keep up the fantastic work! Thank you!
We don't pay for storage of Turo cars. We rarely have more than 1 or 2 cars sit for more than 24 hours. We've been on Turo for almost 2 years and Getaround 1 year. This isn't our main source of income, yet. We have 17 in total (13 Turo cars 4 Getaround) but would probably need 30+ to make this a main source of income. We do pay for 5 parking spots for our Getaround cars because that business works differently.
Great daily video so we really know what is like, good and bad. Keep it up. Looking for ways to generate passive income for myself. Turo is not passive but you are your own boss and can scale up depending on one imagination and skills. What are monthly or annual ROI for these cars? Any tips for a beginner?
We achieve 100% ROI on these cheap economy cars in 6-8 months. This trip alone paid for the Escape. My tips is to try to buy low depreciating vehicles below market value.
So we ended up filing the claim through Turo. There was some damage on the rear bumper that we missed in the video - nothing major. They gave us $340 to replace the windshield and $474 for the rear bumper scratches. Minus our $250 deductible it was a payout of $564. Rain-X sells a repair kit for windshield chips that we ended up using since there was no cracks it was still repairable. We actually have an old video on our channel on the Rain-X repair kit!
Great video! Do you take pre-trip photos before bookings or within 24 hours of a trip booking? I know with Getaround the photos can just be uploaded before any bookings. Thanks!
We take them as soon as we can as close to (but not more than) 24 hours pre-trip. Our advance notice is 3 hours so that gives us up ample time before a trip starts even if it’s an instant booking.
Thanks! Yes it had 108k miles when we first listed it a year and a half ago so it was grandfathered in after it hit 130k miles. Turo allows it that way.

Wow, thanks! I hope you like these new Vlog style videos. We try to be as transparent as possible, showing the good, the bad and the ugly. lol.
Do you pay to store your cars? How many cars do you have, how long have you been on Turo, and is this your main source of income?

Whats the brand of the portable vacuum you used?
"HERCULES 20V Cordless 1/2 Gallon Wet Dry Portable Vacuum" from Harbor Freight. I think it was about $100 with battery and charger.
Great video, thanks! The Mini has 139,000 miles. How are you still able to rent it?
Thanks! Yes it had 108k miles when we first listed it a year and a half ago so it was grandfathered in after it hit 130k miles. Turo allows it that way.
@@CarSharingJho cool, I thought you had to stop sharing right at 130,000 or Turo would not cover you in the event of an accident. Good to know!
Which tracker are you using with a kill switch?
