- The full race replay of the 2023 6 Hours of Monza, round 5 of the FIA World Endurance Championship held on July 9 at the Temple of Speed.
The FIA World Endurance Championship is the world’s premier international sportscar championship, contested over seven rounds across North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. With multiple cars across three categories (Hypercar, LMP2 and LMGTE Am) all on track at the same time, the WEC is a sports car extravaganza that offers action, overtakes, excitement and entertainment for fans worldwide.

@@rockyledonio5341 F1 is always be like that, as far as I remember. The team that can exploit the regulations would dominate the championship for next few seasons. And I gotta admit that LMH/LMDh cars looks better than Formula 1.

I'm so pleased that WEC is so readily available these days. I love watching this racing series.
Lifelong Ferrari and motosport fan and finally this was the first race I have watched live on the track. Ticket costed 40 euro and with the 40 euro ticket I was in the track from 07.00 till 19.00. During the day you could go everywhere on the track, watch 2 support races walk in the pit lane and meet the drivers. I think WEC with the hypercar category and the whole approach took a huge W. The whole track was clapping for the red cars. What a vibe.

I haven't been to a motorsport event since I was a kid and my dad worked at some IMSA events in our city in the late 80's. I still got some Nissan Thunder in the Streets posters : )
This new hypercar lineup makes me want to go see an event in person now that I live in the EU.

This was my first full race I watched after enjoying Nordschleife 24h and Le Mans, loving WEC.
Can highly recommend re-watching the rest of the season, the 1000 Miles of Sebring, the 6 h of Portimao and the Spa 6 h as well! :) All 4 free here on RUclips!

I love this, it's doing exactly what it wants to achieve: getting people into sportscar racing. I watched this exact replay last year, and saw a good race, so I tuned into Le Mans for the first time to watch an incredible race. And with more replays I get more and more into sportscar racing

This race was awesome.
The Glickenhaus hat is not a "cowboy hat". It is an Australian bush hat known as a "slouch" for how it hangs down to protect the forehead and neck from the sun. "Cowboy hats" are Stetsons.
Thanks for this although I know many of us would also appreciate a 60 minute highlight reel since we don't have time for all of it.
I would recommend starting at the "final hour" chapter. They give a good recap, then you get 60 minutes of great racing.
My favorite part about the hypercar field in wec this season?, ive been a fan of all of these driver's since their gt3 days, been following all their careers for literal years, and it is so good to see all of them getting this chance. We could not ask for a more distinguished grid of hypercar driver's

I was at Sebring, Spa and Monza for the WEC this year. And apart from the race itself, which was great, I can't recommend going to Monza as a fan. This year was really special if you like so^^
The highlight was getting thrown out off the campingground together with all the other people there at 21:30 on Saturday evening! Because the camping ground was closed. Bathrooms and toilets didn't work there so we asked already on Friday if its still okay to be here and several people told us that it would be. They even did turns to check on everything. So on Friday it was okay still. At 21:30 on Saturday security came and gave everyone 30 mins to pack everything before Police would come because we are not allowed to stay^^ so they threw out all the fans the night before the race and not politly. So yeah find a place to sleep at that time^^
Also on most grandstands there had no sun protection at all, because they have removed them. But the grandstands are built from metal so yeah you sit in an oven (it had 38°C on Sunday). Some did get blisters from the grandstands itself. Several people collapsed. Of course that was due to the weather but why removing the shade?^^
Plus the usual Monza... A lot of standing in lines for basic needs. I'm cheerful we go to Imola next time.

i like the way you are improving the onscreen scoring, but may i suggest something, it would be helpful, in endurance racing, to have the number of pitstops made and total required/anticipated for the whole race, as part of the score as it will enable us to see, at a glance, how the race is likely to play out

Excellent stuff. Just to be perfect We need more car colors, everyone being white and red makes the grid a bit bland. Peugeot looks okay static but while movie the livery is actually very boring too. Glickenhaus, Vanhall, Jota and Cadillac are the only ones bringing original colors to the field. Ferrari being red is understandable. But Toyota and Porsche look like they are the same time.

F1 has to learn from wec and should recast the raced for the people who missed it
The F1 sessions, ALL sessions, are shown multiple times over the week following a race.
Sky F1 channel is well worth the cost, if you can get it. They show all kinds of categories live, and the repeat them many times.

Copyright trolls on the national anthems, probably. I'm sure the WEC has the broadcast rights to the recordings they use, but RUclips is a corporate hellscape with no recourse. The same issue even occurred at Le Mans, when there was literally a live band performing original renditions. Instead of letting the exploiters get money from this video, I assume WEC chose to cut out those segments.

I’m loving this coverage of all the races, and the commentators are great. However, could we hear a bit less of them contradicting each other all the time? They’re not just talking down the pub, they have an audience listening and sometimes it gets confusing and a little grating.

I have never felt sorry for Seb Buemi before. This is a new feeling. He's the spoiled brat who whines constantly about other drivers, and I've always found that amusing, but nobody likes to see a little boy have a rotten day. He's beyond question one of the best drivers in WEC. He is a perfectionist, he never screws up, he always gains position when needed, and when he takes the lead he runs away with it, but this was his rotten day, his worst that I can recall since following WEC seasons since maybe 2018. What's more, he didn't blame anyone this time. He owned it. (We used to say he "manned up".) I've never seen him screw up so badly in WEC, and I've never seen him own it like he did.
I consider myself pretty good at what I do, and I'm a perfectionist. I know it's arrogant to compare my career to Seb's position as a driver, but if I have a bad day, I can ruin a lot of other people's days. That's a burden. If a driver screws up, the whole team has a very bad day, but it happens to all of them. I can only laugh at Seb's childish rants because he's such a blazing fast and precise driver. It's funny when he's on form, but to see a driver of his talent screw up in so many ways is heartbreaking. I don't feel any of that schadenfreude. I can't believe I'm saying this, but as a guy who's screwed plenty of times and ruined my share of days for other people, I feel kinship. It's an awful feeling when a day like this happens.

We learned at Le Mans and Monza that the race is ultimately up to the BoP. I wanted Ferrari to win, so I made arbitrary adjustments at Le Mans, and in return for winning, I tightened Ferrari, but Toyota won at Monza.
