Thanks for taking the time ... I have my Ba Psych and an Ma Counselling but after working in the industry for almost a decade I have decided to bite the bullet and applied for Ma Prof Psych with UNE and have my interview in less than an hour. Glad I had already done a lot of what you suggested, but your video was a nice refresher.
@@melbasile005-sy3dq doing the Ma in trimesters is different to most uni's that do semesters; the Ma is done in 8mths FT, the feedback from others was if your working or have other commitments do it PT and I would agree. I completed FT but had commitments but I did ok. Its challenging and I could provide all sorts of advice but: be organised, schedule your time, do the extra readings, pace yourself (as you wont have time for self-care no matter what they say), set up a good workspace and fingers crossed for a good supervisor and find some good peers and set up your own 'peer supervision' and support one another. Its a shame you cant really DM here on YT otherwise I would be happy to answer further specific questions ... Im off to find my internship now! :P
Thanks for this video Kathleen! I've been wracking my brain about what to wear to the interviews 😅😂 Do you think there's any way you could make a video on outfits of the week as a psychologist? Lots of love to you!
Aww Mel thanks so much for your comments and video suggestions! Wear what makes you feel most confident, you can’t go wrong with this 🩵 I’m wishing you all the best with the interviews and your psych journey 😄
Hey I hope you are well, are you also applying for Clinical Psychology master? Can we connect on social media somehow? Cuz I am an international student and I might need some suggestions..
Hey Kathleen, I'm an international student from India and I'm about to give my interview for clin psy in about 4 days at Western Sydney University. You mentioned in one of the comments that my interview will be similar to that of domestic students. Do you think belonging from a primarily collectivistic culture could cause any disadvantage for me during the interviews, especially in the role play sections? If so, is there anything I can read up on to know about the cultural differences in Australia?
Hey Kath, I'm an international student planning to apply for Master of Clinical Psychology in Aus, so I imagine my interview process would be a tad different than the usual ones. Any tips?
Hey there 😊 your interview process would be very similar to a national student, it’s your application process that might differ - you’ll need to prove fluency in English and your degree will need to be the equivalent of a bachelor + honours year in Aus (4 years of full time study). I always recommend contacting Aphra if you’re unsure about anything!

@@kathleenanne Thanks, it did ... I got my offer and start the MPP in 2024 @ UNE
@CaptZenPetabyte I’ve applied to Master of prof Psych at UNE for this year- any tips from your experience last year? How have you enjoyed the degree?
