You're the best, Phil! You've been a guide for this entire process for me - before, during, and after! First interview tomorrow morning via Zoom!

My interview is this Friday! Applied to a PsyD program right out of a BSc (Honours) degree in Psychology. Extremely nervous, but this video was really comforting. No matter what happens, I got the interview. That was a huge accomplishment itself! Definitely feeling a bit of imposter syndrome, but I am trying to push through.

Ahhh now I am stuck! Admissions from that first program I was accepted into noted in my acceptance email that I have 10 days to accept/ decline the offer. Problem is I still have one last PsyD interview for another program next Wednesday 😏. In your experience, when you recieved acceptances did you let admissions know you needed more time to accept/decline? What would you advise I do?

I have an interview for a clinical psychology PhD program on February 7th and I'm freaking out a little. I took some time to work in the field after getting my master's. Partially because both of my parents died during undergrad and graduate school. Any tips on dealing with imposter syndrome?

I'm so sorry to hear that. That's an incredible story of pursuing your dream. I think everyone deals with imposter syndrome to a certain degree, honestly if you have an interview to a program that is a huge victory. I think reaffirming that you belong there is powerful, so many students didn't get that interview and the faculty members saw something in your application that convinced them to offer you an interview. That's pretty revealing of I'm sure the type of prospective student you are. So just continual reinforcement that you belong I think will go a long way. Best of luck!
