This is a huge miss on Lexus to make it 6 seater only for the top trim. A family of 5 would mean more cargo in my current RX than TX. And my wife still has to drive a second car when grandparents tag alone.
while i get that the 8 seater will technically make this also compete with the full size suvs as well, its still indirectly competes with them due to the size of the interior so it shouldn't be bad to make a 7 seater even with the tight middle seat.
Lexus can’t compete with anyone. Genesis Hyundai kia Acura Mazda etc they always fail. The only brand they can compete with is Buick and Infiniti. Not a good place to be

It's longer than a Highlander...that's the main point of the TX...a legitimate 3rd row. Also what Toyota (in the same class) rides like a Lexus? ... nonetheless,the Highlander is a good choice for those who don't want to pay the extra.
As a several Lexus owner over the years that example is very disappointing. Should have just left it with Toyota. They'll sell all they make of course.

@@alanklaus7774I think the 'generic'ness is perhaps done on purpose to not make it too offensive; it is mean to be family oriented and they probably didn't think it'd be the best idea to throw the giant grill and very typical polarizing design language on it. They probably knew that if they made it polarizing like the rest of the lineup, they'd have some folks that REALLY hate it and some that REALLY love it whereas when it's in that generic middle-ground, both sides are like "meh I could drive it I guess"

@@MikeForsythe yeah..but for equipment comparable to my Type S, it's 79k. My mdx has air suspension, brembo brakes, etc, that the TX doesn't have, and the same tech as the tx….and I also have massaging seats. I also have a twin turbo V6 to enjoy also.

I just don’t like the exterior proportions and that front overhang. The redesigned Cadillac XT6 is going to annihilate this design. I’d even take the GMC Acadia over this white interior looks to be more upscale and for less money. Yikes Lexus! 😅
I’ll have to see one in person. If the TX ends up being as much as a disappointment in person as it is on these videos and photos then I’m not buying one at all. Although imo, I don’t know what it is with new Lexuses, but getting black interiors makes them look way cheaper. If you get other interior colors then they look much more premium. I think it has to do with the wood, they go for dark wood on black interiors. It makes them look like base model Toyotas. Not on other interior colors though. Dunno why they do that… they should offer different wood options for black interiors.
@@faheemabbas3965 they’re not the only ones to do that. The dark woods look better in darker interiors, and gives the interior more of a finished look. Lexus problem is their actual design language, it’s the clunkiest in the industry as far as luxury brands go. GMC now has a better interior philosophy on their top trims than Lexus, and that says a lot about them both. Even in darker colors, the Acadia AT4 has a more premium look and design than a TX. I’m almost sure the TX will be thousands more.

The non luxury brands are already getting that before dealer mark up. The Grand Highlander Hybrid Max is near 60K already…so this will start in the high 50s or low 60s

That means that getting a v6 in general in the tx will be significantly more expensive than getting a v6 in the MDX qx60 telluride palisade grand Cherokee L since the v6 is standard in those models and even thr xt6 premium luxury will still be significantly cheaper than the tx

I like the new Arcadia but stop it. It’s one engine only, no hybrids and no performance trim. And the screen is slapped in.
