Some of the cutscenes, especially the ending one, never fail to make me cry. Back when I played the original, I was a mess when I finished. These games are so amazing.
Tbf, Persona 3 is the only one that made me cry multiple times during my plays for both Persona 3 Portable - which introducted me to Persona series, and let me play as a girl - and Persona 3 Reload. Reload played on my emotions even harder with these cutscenes. But the cutscenes where i cried the most are Shinji's death and ending, where first i was trembling on scene with sealing Nyx and then when Makoto was closing his eyes on Aigis lap my walls broke and i couldn't stop myself from crying. Especially i felt like in her speech Aigis knew that Makoto is going away.

Even though I knew that the first time you see what Yukari's father says in the video is manipulated by Ikutski, you can notice an odd static pulse that happens before he says he is responsible. It can make people who notice that make them feel something is off about it and that something isn't right about what was said. Makes the payoff when Yukari sees the unedited version pay off in knowing they were right but sad they were unable to do anything to change the outcome since no one noticed.

Funny to hear talk about the elizabeth fight. I was legit thinking of doing it. But i had grinded a bunch of persona's purely for each specific element. With immunities and everything. Then i start trying elizabeth only to learn she one shots you on block reflect and absorb... I hated this so much i had no other personas that where prepared for this. I tried so hard to still beat it only to not be able to kill her fast enough. And survive every insta kill moment. I was so titled that i did not prepare for her. I was legit like i can read up on her once i get there. Nah. Great video !
The OG P3 had a lot of rough edges while not all positive, were integral to its identity. In my opinion, the devs sanded it down too much to appeal to a much broader audience. There’s a good video about it on Nam’s Compendium. It’s still a great game all things considered but personally, I and many others who have played FES first think P3R nerfed the overall mood and difficulty that was essential to P3’s identity
@@jy-li1jq I would assume they brought it up since your comment included not understanding the hate P3R gets. Hey man just wanted to let you know for the strength and fortune boss the colors doesn't determine who it will effect because those effects will always effect everyone. It determines whether or not it's a buff or debuff.
43:12 the gigas minions are actually susceptible to charm, which is even easier to proc with the main boss' stagnant air. Mitsuru can use marin karin on both and considering they can use tarukaja and what not the fight is actually really easy. Also 1:23:46, the Chariot/Justice boss actually splits 100% of the time when you use a theurgy on it, rather than after a set number of turns. Also ALSO at 1:40:38, the wheel of fortune's effects work for everyone in the fight, like revolution does. The red and blue signify if it's a negative of positive effect, respectively (like, taking 300 damage or getting an attack boost, for instance).
I love the opening movie so much. I played this game with my sister while our Poppop was fighting cancer, not intentional but sadly they occurred at the same time. I hope this helped my sister handle losing him, even if it was only a little.

After that, it did Mahama again and it killed us through a light resisting Persona.
damn, RNG didn't like u in that fight
Should have cheesed it
A random side note as that would be an interesting challange.
Is i will play this game for the first time on merciless without using theurgies, just to challange myself as i am currently playing P3P and fear playing reload on normal would make the game too easy for me.
Your challange videos inspired me to do this so thank you. :)
1:04:38 important caveat for the Great Clock: there is a level limit for catchup in one go. I think it's around 10-15
Up to level 13 in my experience.
Babe wake up three hour Nyarly video
We are back
Holy shit, I just realized halfway through the video it's 3 hours long.
@@sirbruno95 I would have noticed long before that. I already knew at the start.
Reload was an excellent game. A perfect remake of the original with everything I wanted and more.
53:06 just so you know, Tarot Lovers has a flag that zero’s out SP cost for skills like Agidyne. Ask me how i know this because first time i saw it use Diarama, i thought it wise to drain it of SP completely. This is corroborated with some other gentlemen on RUclips in comments section also mentioning this.
Seductive mist phase goes in a set order of skills and is always consistent pattern over 8 turns
Takaya: So, you can use multiple personas, can you?
Makoto: What the Hell are you talking about? It's the same one as last time!
Also, is it just me, or does Shuji sound like Verminator?
I see this after an Akechi analysis video... WHAT THE HECK.
over 3 hours though... This'll be good
This is like my first live persona challenge! Cant wait to watch the directors cut xxl version
Hello there fantastic video
I did the challenge myself months ago on Hard and the hardest bits were definitely the start with 3 party members which felt unbeatable
But after getting Fuuka and theurgy the game became much easier, maxing persona stats is very in this game, and you can give incense to allies which feels broken since all of them have high stats by lvl 99
My only problem is getting the correct skill cards because for example i stuck with vaccum slash until November but i did one shot trash mobs with it
Imo, the start was easy. All the Thebel bosses are total jokes.
2:15:15 Didn't see this mentioned anywhere in the comments, but about Mitsuru's "execution" of the boys should they get caught...
If memory serves, one of the P3 Manga adaptations displays it as her summoning her Persona into the real world to hit the offenders with Bufudyne. There's also some additional dialogue depending on if you do / don't get caught.
Tbh, thanks to you now i have this hc where the protags of persona do use their wild card ability but have their initial persona in their storage or whatever (and obviously, they make them stronger)
I just finished watching your Serph only run lol. Good timing
We've been waiting for this!!!
The improvement of, like, half the comments here.
The only times I died on my first playthrough was to mamudoon twice and to the reaper landing a crit brave blade when makoto was confused. angelic grace clutched it for me on my second attempt.
I personally loved the acting in reload personally, also Goatpei, enough said
Excellent video, the ending always makes me cry, good video to watch on a full moon
I now eagerly await you doing this for Episode Aigis: The Answer.
Great job dude! Loved P3R, was afraid it wasn't going to be worth playing (I had already played FES, and P3P); it was fantastic.
1:22:59 RIP nyarla's happiness 😌
Excellent work champ! Absolutely impressive.
Gonna be enjoying this for a couple days ❤
Love and Peace folks, best of luck in your pursuits!
happy to see a video on P3R, I'd love to see a SMT VV video as well
Nyarly amazing video and I know how it feels to be through tropical storms and hurricanes I have been through a couple
I swear that i played this game on all its versions, and each one of them make me cry at the end every single time with the same emotions. What a good game
Been waiting on this one LETS GO
Finally, another Nyarly banger! You are easily my favorite Persona/SMT challenge runner, so cant wait for more content for Metaphor!
I wish i had somebody’s lap to lay in , telling me to rest easy, and that they won’t be going anywhere, that level of peace? my god.
Now i know what i'm doing for the next three hours. Thanks man. I have played persona 3 on the psp. It's a great game
thank you for these... they have helped me through some rough times
Great video, I remeber playing P3 on the psp and never quite finishing it even tho I loved it so dearly, when it was brought to the ps4/5 I was estatic and played it through and god this game is amazing and god damn that ending broke me emotionally.
I've been waiting for this
idk anything about persona but it looks cols and this video was cool
Play it
I like that at the 3 hour 8 minute mark, when talking to Ms. Toriumi, that other teacher just vanishes. She's like, "I don't care, I'm out."
Bro didnt like the new sees outfit thats insane
Funny to hear talk about the elizabeth fight. I was legit thinking of doing it. But i had grinded a bunch of persona's purely for each specific element. With immunities and everything. Then i start trying elizabeth only to learn she one shots you on block reflect and absorb... I hated this so much i had no other personas that where prepared for this. I tried so hard to still beat it only to not be able to kill her fast enough. And survive every insta kill moment. I was so titled that i did not prepare for her. I was legit like i can read up on her once i get there. Nah. Great video !
32:52
Rio 1 mentioned,amazing video already!
What an amazing video ! Thanks Nyarly !
Oh nice another short episode with Nyarly!
Honestly, playing NG+ on Merciless locks you out of everything except cosmetics anyways. No Item or Comp Carry-over
Had to skim through when you showed the ending to game, i dont want to cry again lmao
Nyarly content FINALLYYYYY
2:14:00 And thus, Jose was conceived
Wait seriously?
@@zachtwilightwindwaker596 it's just a head canon that I find funny
I still dont get the hate p3r has been getting, im still looking forward to the answer and that new game
It’s a amazing game but my only issue is a lot of the boss fights are too easy but I still love the game
@@vietnguyen2293i get you may feel like that but why bring up the games faults when im saying im hyped
location location location
@@jy-li1jq I would assume they brought it up since your comment included not understanding the hate P3R gets. Most of the time if a sentence like that is posted in a forum where it can be replied to that's an informal call to try and explain. So actuallh that's the exact location. And....being hyped about a game doesn't mean you have to ignore it's potential flaws and faults. You can love, adore, and be hyped about a game without ignoring it's flaws.
P3r finally makes P3 a good game
Waited so long, happy to see it🎉
yooooo ive been wanting to watch one of these and i think this is a good one to get back into it
Yeah as always the lovers fight is a nightmare
50:47 Bro got slapped.
"Men, we don't know what we did!"
I KNEW this video would be inevitable, and I'm excited for it
Seeing your crazy fight against the Fortune/Strength boss reminded me of my dumb fight with it where Akihiko manged to do over 3000 DAMAGE with a Lightning Spike!
was waiting for this one🙏🙌
Hey man just wanted to let you know for the strength and fortune boss the colors doesn't determine who it will effect because those effects will always effect everyone. It determines whether or not it's a buff or debuff.
Im pretty sure the spins are scripted too, might be tripping
@@NaturalSC0512 the first two are yes
Chariot and Justice also split if they lost 90% of their HP. I've done the fight without Theurgy and can confirm
the k sound in Caesar is technically accurate as roman were probably pronouncing 'c' with a 'k' sound then the church change it to a 's' sound
I love the opening movie so much. I played this game with my sister while our Poppop was fighting cancer, not intentional but sadly they occurred at the same time. I hope this helped my sister handle losing him, even if it was only a little.
Congrats Nyarly on burning your bread with only Orpheus.
It’s been a couple of years since I’ve seen that ending (I haven’t played p3r) and wow that really hit different
As someone who lost his father in 2018 without any warning, Aigis talking to the protagonist at the end feels like what I did the day after my father died: I went up the garden and spoke with him, in a sense. It gave me a feeling of being able to say the goodbye that I couldn't at the end. Oh this game...
Man I wish there was another part to the bad ending where you could join up with strega and had to fight your own old team that would be so cool.
Peak just dropped.
Shout out to the ice and physical theoregy, and the crits and freezes saved me so many times
2:22:30 You know, I hadn't realized it until now but Reload Aigis sounds..TOO human? In the original scene her robotic voice made it sound better
