Ford F100 | A Prime Example of a 1967 Truck

  • In 1967, Ford, like GM, redesigned the look of their 1/2 ton pickup truck, the Ford F100 - and, boy, did they knock it out of the park. This particular 1967 is an absolute sweetheart of a truck and a prime example of a 1967 Ford. My good friend and neighbor, Chris, tells us how he learned to drive in this Ford F100 and how it was ultimately passed down to him by his dad - even after he banged it up a little. Check out this cool story on a killer truck. And yep, it's the first Ford to debut on What's In My Driveway.

    I had a 70 Ford F100 long bed, original...
No power steering, drum brakes and 3 on the column.., now those long beds in those years are LONG lol..
Kinda reminded me of the old Clint Eastwood style he had in the movie Grand Tourino, the only difference was mine didn’t have the stripes like his, but it had the big mirrors..
I’d leave that one he has just like it is..
    Nice old truck..!👍🏼

Cool old F100, I had a 1970 that was a public works truck with a 6cyl. And no options. I installed a 302 V8 repainted it did my own interior and this was in 1979. I owned the truck till 87 and sold it to a young man in Kissimmee FL. And when I went back to visit my old neighborhood that truck is still owned by the same guy and he owns a land scape buisness and the truck is still running. Keep them oiled a greased and it's like an old pair of boots ya just can't part with em. The cab mount brakes would rust out and start to sag I made a new set out of plate steel and they survived. This is a good example of with very little money you get big bang for the buck.

@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS - l'm also a Chevrolet truck man at heart like you, but l secretly admired Ford trucks. My next truck will be an f-150 for the first time in my life. Chevrolet is old school brainwashed by my uncle whose idol was Chevy, l now see the light, Ford is the better truck. I was a body and frame repair man for almost 34 years , before that l was mechanic, l got to know how much better and stronger a Ford truck was. I was just like you for many many years, but not no more. Some chevys are sporty looking, but Ford is the tougher animal. God bless for showing your neighbors' beautiful Ford truck. That's the year Ford decided to wrest the crown from chevrolet. This was one of the best videos l've seen. Keep em comming.

Nice truck. Love the old Fords. The 302 engine is a small block(Windsor) along with a 221,260,289,351w and stroked up to 427 and some even larger with some differences between all. The older Y-blocks are considered small blocks,272,292 312 and a few other displacements. The FE family,332,352,360,390,406,427,428 along with some Mercury and Lincoln variations are considered Medium blocks along with the Cleveland family, 351C,351M and 400. Then there is the 385 series,429,460 along with several HD truck variations that are Big Blocks. Ford has so many different engine families its hard to just narrow them down to "Small block-Big block". If you are into Fords you gotta do your homework to build an engine if you start mixing parts.
