There's a lot I like about this truck. The patina, the stance, the 15" tires for better ride and that 300-6 for superior reliability! Good score Rusty!

i also have a 65 short bed. it has the IC dodge dakota front cross member, flipped the rear and put a small notch. 289 - C4 auto. a 65 F260 4x4 with a 300 I6 and a zf 5spd dana 24 Tcase 4.10 gears and a high pinion dana 44 disc brake up front . love the Slicks! i have had more than 12 ;-)

Great episode Robbie. I'd take the whole set up just like she sits. Pick me up a vintage Maico MXer and hit the local tracks for vintage class racing. I used to poo poo 6 bangers but not anymore. I have a pretty nice 70 F250. Hmmmm...pre 67 Ford F100 may be in my future as well. A guy can never have too many old trucks. Very cool!

I think it's mine, too! Just cool truck that was put together really well. And yeah, i noticed it after the fact. I was too busy looking down low at the suspension stuff. That's my favorite kind of stuff.

Best looking generation of Ford truck in my opinion and they came 5 lug from the factory. They also came with beam front ends making them more involved to lower/make handle well.
I agree with that! And i actually didn't know that about the 5 lug from factory in that generation truck. I knew about the I-beams and think the mustang II clip turned out great in this one. It seemed to handle fine and rode/steered great.
If he hadn’t waved the first driver on the car that ran the stop sign would of nailed you guys! So close , whew!

I own a 1965 ford f 100 with a 352 two barrel with a cruise o matic that needs help. The last guys i had work on my truck burned my motor up and my coker tires and made slicks out of them it took me eight months to save up for those tires. Your probably asking why i din't just fix it myself but i was in a spinal injury in 2001. And trusted to many people with my truck and all i got was being sick sitting here in my bed looking at my truck . SAD!
Rusty, how are your brakes set up? I’m thinking about doing the mustang or cv front and the axle flip on my 65 like your truck. Did anything need to be added to the brake lines for the drum rear brakes and disc front?
