Literally all it takes is ground spikes, solid walls, and a few unobtrusive saws. Those 3 things will patch 99% of all skips and secret ways. It’s honestly impressive how someone can pay so little attention to something they create.
Even if the guy doesn't want to use ground spikes, he could've just added another one of those wooden platforms with spikes right below the cube portal
Okay yall, here's a quick tip: place hundreds of invisible blocks everywhere outside of the intended routes, and especially a huge pillar at the end of a level with only an opening where you're supposed to be. Place blocks above and below your cutscenes, and place blocks above and below portals. It can be super lazy, just please, seriously, place some blocks or saws. Soooo many levels think that since they didn't accidentally find a bug, it doesn't exist. Place invisible portals above and below intended ones. Click an orb in 5 different places and see where it takes you. Look carefully near portals. Just put in a tiny bit of effort

Good playtesting involves intentionally seeking out ways that the level can be broken or buggy, this mf just played the section they made to see if the path they intended works and went "yeah cool ok" and just forgot about it

we creators playtest our levels. what players dont understand is that we dont always realize all the skips and errors that our levels have. we dont jump or fall literally every possible frame to see if there is a skip or not. we are not perfect. so stop saying playtest your levels (thing we do) or saying "gg ez secret way" and start contacting us and pointing out the skips that we didnt notice and couldnt fix. thanks.
I having secret ways aren't really that bad, they're easy to fix. But in this case the secret way was so obvious that I just had to point it out, it was too funny lmao

my method (probably really common): put 2 invisible spikes at the top and bottom of gameplay and follow Player as X only.

You can skip the first cube too as wave... you can legit beat this level only being cube once
