    The haters need to stop. Liza's a bundle of energy, sometime a nervous energy. She's a quantum force who can command a stage like few others--old school Broadway royalty. Sure her voice isn't what it was & a few notes can be off from pushing too hard but she can sell the hell out of a song. She's a fighter, she's alive and an icon of popular culture whether one likes it or not.

    Many here want Liza to do her mothers songs as a tribute . Being successful and being alive is all the tribute she needs to honor her mother. She is now past her prime vocally like most 72 yr old women and I don’t want her to sing these incredibly difficult songs now. She is Liza after all.

    Liza never did anything to deserve these insults. They still Insult Judy all these two women did was to share their talent and entertain us. People can be nasty and its sad when you see Adults act like backbiting freaks. I'd like to know what these people who insult these "real superstars" accomplished in their lives that they feel they have the right to attack someone they dont even know?

    You have to laugh at the Jerks who insult someone Like Liza and even Judy Garland when they watch clips on RUclips. When did it become "ok" to insult andmake fun of someone who is deceased? For all those who call her names and old etc... Has beens and wash ups dont win high awards or sell out concerts. Judy was still selling out concerts up until her death and gains new fans everyday.. To the freaks out there, remember, what goes around comes around. Hate only makes hate. Liza is a Gem!

      Brava! Some of the 20 & 30-somethings have no sense of what & who paved the way for today's performers. Few of the contemporary pop singers will have much of a shelf life after a "hit" or two". Not that they are bad, simply not (for the most part) original and w/t lasting power, regardless of whether or not they are "all the rage" now. The 20-somethings mostly listen to "singers" who need pyrotechnics and dancers and distractions and voice altering sound effects on stage w/them. Try giving these "performers" just a piano & a mic and see how they do.

    I really wish Liza would do an entire show dedicated to her mother Judy Garland and she should sing all her mothers songs The Man That Got Away, The Trolley Song, and of course Over The Rainbow , I know Liza will one day but hopefully sooner than later and also Liza should promote it a lot and it will become a successful DVD Liza singing her mothers songs.

    I hope one day, Liza does do a tribute to her mother,because, I think more than any other living person other than Judy's other children has a right to sing Over The Rainbow, I know one day Liza will come to it,but hopefully sooner than later!. Yes Liza is an American treasure but Over The Rainbow was her moms song , & seeing Liza sing her mothers songs will be very nice.

  • @leehaidet2433
    @leehaidet2433 11 лет назад +2

    Why not let Judy's songs stay Judy's. She did them best. Liza already sang one or two of her mothers songs, and the whole time you think, oh I wish Judy was singing this,,,same would be true if reversed, Judy garland singing New York New York. No thanks. Liza is her own person, it's like Lisa Marie Presley not com pairing talent with liza by any means nor Judy to elvis for that matter. But everyone always wants to her Lisa sing her daddies song, well I don't want to hear it, and she don't either

    Liza once was GREAT! Saw her live in concert back in the 1970s twice and she was absolutely astounding! But then ... after years and years of living the HIGH life she crumbled into a kind of a joke ... let herself go, lost her singing ability ... that's what comes from too much pills and liquor. So sad. Breaks my heart to see the wreck she's become. But still ... in her prime she was Miz Show Biz and a force to be reckoned with!

  • @batoolabbasi2746
    @batoolabbasi2746 11 лет назад

    she performed Over the rainbow only once i believe in a tribute concert for 2001. The reason why she doesn't sing her mom's iconic songs is because Judy told her not to.

    for starters @rockboyjon, britney and gaga have neither earned oscars or tony's, in fact there have been very few performers who have earned grammy's, emmy's tony's and oscar's, not to mention a career spanning 40 years. sorry that you can't recognize supreme talent. she is an american treasure and unfortunately of a dying breed of entertainers. i'm sure that whatever bullshit you listen to will have an impact on any stage in any genre that will last more than 5 years!

    Liza I think has her mother's eyes and both daughters have a small touch of that Verbrato. Neither Liza nor Lorna can control it the way Judy did. Judy is the Mold and God broke that Mold and both daughters a pale imitation. I don't think Liza is Ugly Just that her look is different because Judy had such a unique look & Vincente Minnelli wasn't attractive, Her speaking voice is a tad "off" becaue of her" hard" drug taking days Judy took pills and drank. Its not fair to compare mother or daughter

    • @harlemhomme
      @harlemhomme 6 лет назад +1

      I agree that its'snot fair to compare mother or daughter, but why do you, in a previous sentance, say that "both daughers are a pale imitation?" I see LiZa as her own being, her own talent, not trying to be her mother.

    Liza seems to want to distance herself from Judy, by evoking the little known Kay Thompson as her main influence/creator.
    Outrageous.
    I got news for ya, Liza Mae - you will NEVER escape the shadow of Garland! She's in you, and you will NEVER measure up.

      Lmao why can’t Kay be her main influence? They were extremely close. Jesus Christ, you people are insane lmfao.
