Those holes you are covering down on the sides usually had access doors from the inside to access storage in front and behind the fender wells in the truck bed. Such as a jack, lug wrench and stuff like that.
I noticed the way you have the jacks sitting on the blocks is really unsafe.
Turn the blocks upright and lay a 2x board on them to set the jack on.
With corner jacks like that you want to use two people at the same time if you have two cranks and raise or lower each end just a little at a time.
If you do it alone only about five cranks at a time on each jack. This way you don’t twist the camper and put the jacks in a bind.
You probably already knew this but thought I would share. I grew up with slide in campers.
When you are done working on it you want to store it way closer to the ground or it will blow over

I'm new here....guys that front leak is probably coming from the windows...i don't want to be a bearer of bad news but as a person that redid a 68 Frolic camper. It's best to take out the windows and reseal. I know it sounds awful but you will be fighting leaks if you just chaulk around them. Sorry😢. Unless previous owner did that. Also whenever chaulking outside always use the good Rv stuff....it will save you from headaches later. Regular silicone does not holdup. SORRY I'll quit my lecturing. You 2 have a very nice setup there CONGRATULATIONS 🎉!! Can't wait to see the finish & your travels!

Those holes you just covered had once upon a time been doors from the inside so you could access the storage in the truck bed on each side of the wheel wells.

That's going to be a great looking vintage camper with timeless style. But silicone-based sealants are not your friend when it comes to a camper. Nothing will adhere to silicone, so it can cause many problems for you later. It's better to "stick" with RV-specific products, such as butyl tape and lap sealant.

Hey guys keep an eye on that flex seal I lost a pop-up camper I had spent a summer restoring due to flex seal breaking down and cracking over the winter! I had sealed around a vent and it slowed the camper to literaly flood and it was destroied!

Love it! My grandpa and grandma had one! I've always told my husband that would be the way to go! We took it hiking, fishing, hunting. It was so much fun! I think theirs was a little bit bigger but boy did we have some good memories in that!!! It just makes more sense to me than pulling something behind. Don't see them very often! What a find!!

Hope you're not planning on driving far, too much camper for a f150, you may also want to check your tie down points, if that slide in shifts it will rip those little bolts right out of the jacks i have one very similar. As for your leak in the corner, check even higher, check at the vent right above your bed

You can take an old cylinder tire air compressor tank decommission it drill a hole in it and weld a small Farrell and hook a water line to it fill it 75% of the way and fill the rest with compress air and you will have running water a small tire pump on a remote switch for the water fill spout piece of galvanized two inch and a cap for the fill just put a Schrader valve on it on the side for the air put the water out let on the bottom and just run it to you sink .....

After seeing those tiedowns, i understand why there not legal here😮. If you happen to venture into Canada (or BC at anyrate) you might get stopped.
Enjoy the camper and the memories! Alaska is a beautiful place for sure to go on adventures!

That camper was a smart purchase. Always nice to have your own bed when exploring. I agree with revyred, silicone is a no no on campers. A caulk with polyurethane will last longer. Taking the windows out and re-sealing with butyl tape will extent the life of the camper. Its a job thats a pain to do but worth it. It'll take longer than you think to do so dont try to get it done the night before a trip. Might also consider butyl tape under the silver trim that goes along the sides of the roof. Water can force its way in while your going down the road. Looking forward to seeing what the inside is going to look like!
